::: CHEETAHS ::: Have a strong & healthy Thursday!

Good Morning Cheetahs.

Cathy: Great job getting PUB done in the wee hours of the morning! Enjoy your run later. Sounds like you'll appreciate the sweating after freezing in your classroom all day!:7

So I am pretty sure my cold is GONE!!! I am taking Airborne for one last day just to be sure but I feel totally fine. I felt pretty normal y'day too but today it's even better.

I have GS biceps, some kind of ab work and a run on tap for today. As of right now ITread Intervals #21 is the plan for the run...}(

I'm gonna go back and check last night's posts to see if there are any personals I need to catch up with so perhaps I'll be back in a few minutes!

BFN!:7

Lorie: How are you feeling this morning? Keep taking that Airborn. IT WORKS!!!!:)

Cathy: My dad did not have the big jokester/class clown type personality that my uncle has always had (my dad was more of the straight-laced type) but they both have/had huge hearts. My dad was a very kind, loving, care man. I could not have asked for a better dad and my uncle is the same way. Both my sister and I and our cousin are children of divorced parents and our fathers (my dad and uncle) made sure that they took care of their children as if they never left. To call them devoted fathers would be an understatement!:)

That's it for personals.

I'll be back in a bit!

Geez is it Thursady already?

For two days the schedule of life has not allowed for internet browsing. I missed the Cheetahs and the forum here.

Thank you to all the ITrain advocates! I did manage to cave in and try an Itread for my speed work on Tuesday and it was so much more fun than dong 4x 800 repeats! I kept my milage to my plan, but used Itread 9 60" . I stopped at 5 miles) There will be more of them in my library soon. Does anyone have any current discount codes? At one time I might have seen one posted, but perhaps it is expired at this point.

Here is the plan for this week:
M- The Viper and ME abs
Tu- 5 miles intervals with Itread & TM
W- easy 3 miles and SS UP premix
Th- yoga
F- run easy paced 8 miles
Sa- rest
Su- run easy paced 3 miles

Excuse the self centered post here.

Wendy and Lorrie- Are the cold symptoms declining?

Shelly- You did the 20 miles again? (I haven't been reading back dated posts. If I did I would never get out of this chair!)

HI Susan, Carole, Jackie, Kristi, Amy and everyone else who visits today! GTG drive teens to school. TTFN :)

G'morning Cheetahs! I feel like a cheetah this morning, ran 6 miles before 6AM! :) It was almost chilly in the 50's, but actually felt great! And did 100 lunges, would have done more but my friends needed to get back. YogaX on tap for later!

Cathy ~ Great job w/ PUB abs, that's a toughie! Enjoy your run or kickbox!

Wendy ~ Hope you continue to feel better. I was sick last week w/ sinus/ allergies & felt miserable!!!

Judy ~ Glad that you're doing well & keeping busy! Great schedule you have going on there!

Well, after trying to figure out something to do from home part time I decided to become a Million Dollar Body coach! I'm so excited and love P90X so much that I think it will be a great fit! A great way for me to use my fitness/ nutrition knowledge & help my family too. Things just seem to have been really tight this past year! So... not to spam but if anyone is interested check out my webpage http://www.milliondollarbody.com/bbst/homepage.php?homepage_Username=jessmomof3 (I still have some work to do, but there's the basics!) I'll keep ya posted on when the new P90X+ workouts are coming out, I'm excited about that!!!

Kiddos are doing well. Hannah had her first Girl Scouts meeting this week, and we have Open House tonight. Hannah's starting Taekwondo next week & Kiersten will be doing gymnastics. I'll be kinda like a soccer Mom but w/ other activities!

Have a great Thursday!

Good morning Cathy, Wendy, & Judy! Glad to see everyone up and moving around. Not sure what I will be doing today. This morning I jumped on the scale and was horrified that I had gained 9 pounds literally overnight.  I've never gained like that before. However, this week I did start taking birth control pills again so I won't be so hormonal. My DH is doing a happy dance now. Anyway, this must be the culprit. I plan to officially start zigzagging my calories and upping my workouts on Monday. (Where have we heard this before?) I do have great news to share. DH won't be going out of town next week afterall. However, he will now have to go out of town twice now thanks to his boss. I liked it better when I knew he was only going to have to be gone once. Oh well, there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

Cathy - I think I am going to try to run Chelsea after DH gets home from work. She is the most antsy at that time so it will probably work out best. Afterall she only runs 1/2 mile which does not take long at all.

Wendy - Glad to hear you are doing better!

Lorrie - I hope you are feeling better too!

Judy - Your workout schedule looks awesome! You are putting in some nice miles.

Well, I'll try to BBL!

Hi Jess! We must have been posting at the same time. Good luck with your new venture. I'm sure you will do a great job as a coach. You are very motivating and positive!

Good morning ladies!

This morning was a 5.5 mile run in a pretty good time for me, 48 min. My SO gave me a great website... www.gmap-pedometer.com I'm sure you guys already know about it but I've been having so much fun plotting different routes.

Yesterday turned out a little different than I planned it. I got on the first horse and said "NO WAY!". It was just too uncomfortable. Also, this little heat wave is taking it's toll on the horses who have already started to grow their winter coats. So we all went to lunch and then went to see "Across the Universe". What a great flick! It's a musical entirely composed of Beatle's songs. It's kind of Moulin Rouge meets Sgt. Pepper, and is a bit "different" but it really hits you sometimes. I had goosebumps a few times and cried a bit...always the sign of a keeper for me! If you like more reality driven movies, this probably isn't for you but if you don't mind something a little "out there" you should enjoy it. Okay, Siskel and Ebert are finished now :+.

Wendy - Your uncle sounds like a trip! What a great guy. I'm so glad it seems the crud is gone! That was quite a little w/o yesterday for not feeling quite 100%. It sounds like you have some wonderful people in your life.

Shelly - Hope you enjoyed your intervals!

Carole - Thanks hon...I'm extremely excited, but terrified at the same time. This (horses) is the only thing I've done for the past 16 years.

Amy - Which Cathe step did you do? I'm missing not being able to any Cathes yet ;(.

Jackie - Sound like you had a great w/o yesterday!

Susan - I have this adorable mental pic of your DD working out with you with her little DB...too cute!

Kristi - Good luck on building back up. It sounds like you're very determined and have a very sensible plan. I *may* start to think about working up to HM, I don't know yet. Please try not worry about the numbers on the scale..I know they can be VERY misleading for me, sometimes. That stinks that your DH will travelling more frequently.

Lorie - I hope you are able to dodge those nasties before your 5K! 6.8 miles is pretty amazing for someone not feeling up to snuff!

Cathy - Yeah, the humidity has been pretty brutal here, too. I couldn't even imagine going out after dinner. I have to get out first thing in the am or I just can't do it. Enjoy your evening w/o!

Judy - Glad you enjoyed your w/o. Oh, you guys are all making want a TM just so I can do iTreads and CCs! You have a great week planned.

Jess - Wow, your girls are quite busy. I'll have to check your site out later tonight!

I'll try to check in after work (before bowling) to see what everyone's been up to. Have a great day!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I get an eye test every year. Drives my eyes crazy...cookies and cold beer...I bet "Santa" was happy! Good job on the 4 miles...sorry about the "show-offs". Good job with PUB abs and enjoy your run later.

Wendy...glad to hear the Airborne is working. I did manage a few smiles when Barry was yelling at me to "Hold it"...:). Have fun with GS Biceps, abs and an iTread.

Judy...looks like a good rotation for this week.

Kristi...I have no DOUBT your weight gain is just water. But BC pills can do that too. You will be fine in a few days.

Jess.. way to go with the 6 miles. Good luck in your new venture. Let us know how that goes.

Wendi...looks like a cool website, I use a Garmin when I run so I usually run anywhere. Good job on the pace for 5.5 miles.

Jackie...I always liked the iTrains better than the CC's myself. Good job with iTread sprints yesterday.

Susan...how sweet your 7 year old worked out with you! S&H is great, you should open up that one as it is perfect for some strength gains.

Christine...glad to see you again...Good job on keeping off the weight. Hope you had a good workout yesterday. I know why I was sore so long from the race as I have not run that fast in a very long time! It got warm here yesterday also, about 90. I bet Jimmy does great in surgery. It is always scary to have your dog put under but Jimmy is a strong one and I bet he heals up in no time! Very inspiring story about the woman with Down Syndrome swimming across Tahoe. Thanks for sharing.

Lorie...sorry you are getting the cold. Great job though with the 6.8 miles when you feel yukky. I also take something from the Health Food store called Colloidal Silver. It is a natural antibiotic. Sorry about loosing the smileys. I read somewhere that smiley central downloaded spyware along with the smileys so I stayed away from that program. That would be great if DF would do the BBC workouts too.

Well last night my DH let Sadie out as she was barking, and she ended up getting sprayed by a skunk!!! As a little dog she is easy to bathe but there is some remnants of that nasty smell around for a few days I bet!! I am planning on PLB standing and 40 min on my EXT.

Have a great day...:)

Hi Cheetahs!

I KNOW Jimmy will be okay, but I’m still nervous. Poor guy! Unfortunately I was not able to get up in time to workout (still not 100%), but I’m thinking of doing something over lunch, maybe some kickboxing. I’m kind of in the mood for that. We’ll see. Yesterday I did do Spinervals Zoot Challenge, but did not get in Yoga, so I’m still waiting to do Eoin Finn! He’s not going anyway.

Cathy – GREAT job on getting in PUB abs before work!

Wendy – Great to hear your cold is gone! Enjoy your run!

Judy – Glad you’re enjoying the iTreads! I like them a lot, especially the Out door ones.

Kristi – WOW! 9 pounds? Probably a combo of your body getting used to the pills (took me two months) and bloat, etc. I know what you mean about DH going out of town. Mine is leaving Saturday for a Sunday conference, then business meetings. I get him Friday night, then he leaves. Not fun.

Jess – That is really cool Jess! I hope it works out perfectly for you! Is everything on line? You’ll do fabulous!! Sounds like you are busy as usual!

Wendi – Sounds like you had a great day! Sorry you couldn’t ride, but I do agree. It’s been hot here, too, and even my dogs are miserable.

Carole – Oh, I’m so sorry to hear about Sadie! What a mess!! I’ve heard a lot of people going through that this year, including DH’s boss and his wife (at midnight!). Hope everything comes up smelling roses, so to speak! Yeah, poor Jim! He’ll be okay, but I’ll worry anyway.

Well right now, Jimmy is running around whining because he cannot drink water. My old job called yesterday wanting to know if I want to come back. I’m thinking about it – the new job is really not what I want. But, the COMMUTE!!! I love working 2 miles down the road! Anyway – have a great day all!

Good morning Cheetahs!

Wendy - I use the foam roller doo-hickey (smiled at that) because my hamstrings have been tight. It helps to massage those pressure points. Glad you're seeing improvement in your running using #21. May use it again for one of my speed drill workouts. Yay for the cold being gone!

Lori - Good luck with getting DF to use BBC. Just seems to be something about videos that they can't get into. I have to do a rotation for DBF every time I do one for me. He does it for the most part but he needs to up his weights badly. Hope that cold is gone.

Cathy - Congratulations on the 5 lbs.!!!! Thanks for the info on Body Fusion. That's one that I haven't seen. Glad you enjoyed it. Really love the beasty looking bug. :) Good job on the run yesterday & PUB abs today.

Judy - So glad you enjoyed your iTread workout. Does make it so much more fun. Your plan looks good!

Kristi - Hope the weight levels out once you've adjusted to the pill. Sorry for the extra trips for DH.

Jess - Great job on the 6 miles and so early too! Congratulations on becoming a coach! Good luck and know you will do well! Sounds like the girls are involved in some fun activities.

Wendi - Great job on the 5.5 miles! Great time too!

Carole - How awful for Sadie with the skunk! YUK!!! I hate to run over a skunk with my car because that scent seems to linger. Hope Sadie doesn't smell for long. Have a great workout!

Christine - Hope all goes well with Jimmy today! It's nice that your old job wants you back. Think you could get more money to make up for the commute. Nothing beats working so close to home though. Good luck with your decision.

I did Total Body Sculpting premix this morning. It's 45 minutes and each exercise is repeated. Pretty good workout with light to no weight. Cathe got my arms pretty good and the floorwork was good. Finished up with Baron Baptiste Core Power.

Hello to everyone else!

Enjoy your day ladies.

Jackie

back for a bit here....

Christine- Best of luck with Jimmy's surgery! I'll say a little prayer.

Carole- Yikes with the skunk incident!

Jes- I checked out your web page. You will be a positive coach. You come across as so positive, enthusiastic and upbeat !

Jackie- Is Baron Baptiste core Power a separate DVD? Do you like it?

I just finished Karen Voight'a 45" Yoga sculpt and added on her abs from Core Essentials. I did not care for her abs in the CE but the abs in Yoga sculpt are short and effective.

Hi all!

Back quickly! Ended up with an energy burst and did C&W abs and Eoin Finn’s 40 minutes Yoga for Bliss. I feel good! Nice to feel like I’m actually doing something!

Jackie – that for the good thoughts on Jimmy and the job! I, too, am curious about Naron Baptiste’s Core Power – is it a good one?

Judy – Thanks for the prayer for Jimmy! He’s staring mournfully at me as if I’m neglecting him! How’s Yoga Sculpt?

*Waves to all who follow* Off to the showers!

Wow, the Cheetahs are chatty this morning! Lots of posts here for before noon time!:)

I am back from the gym. I had to stop my run a few minutes early due to DS being a stinker-LITERALLY-so I had to go change him. Based on my time/mileage I'd say I was on track for improvement again. Unfortunately I don't know for sure though depending on how I may have run the final high interval which is what I missed today. I guess I'll try again next week!:)

Judy: Are we creating another ITrain Junkie? }( My cold is GONE! I am taking Airborne for one more day though just to be sure.:)

Kristi: Sorry about your bizarre weight gain. I hope it goes away as quickly as it came on! So what kind of rotation are you starting on Monday?

Jess: You know after completing the X I actually looked at the coaching deal. I was skeptical though and when they asked for $$$ up front to get started I was afraid to take the chance. I've paid before and gotten nothing in return. I gather you got a good impression of it? Please keep me updated on how it goes for you because if it's profitable I may reconsider!:)

Wendi: 5.5 miles in 48 mins is great! I am not that fast! I have run 5 miles in about 50 minutes (I forget exactly what my PR is for a 5 miler).

Carole: Sorry about Stinky Sadie!:7 My SIL has a skunk-chasin' dog too and unfortunately there are skunks in her yard ALOT! They think they live there somewhere. Poor dog is getting tomato juice baths once a week I think! LOL

Christine: So when does Jimmy go in for his surgery? Glad you enjoyed your lunchtime work out. Is your old job prepared to make you an offer that you can't refuse? }(

Jackie: I'll have to look into the foam roller. Sounds like a good thing to have for the days following a B&G work out!}( Got any races coming up?

Jimmy is done with his surgery and is awake. I'll go pick him up around 3:00 PDT. Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers! I'm so happy he's okay. I also got him microchipped while he was under.

I'm glad Jimmy is okay. I knew he would be. :) My golden is microchipped. The breeder we got him from chips all of their dogs. It's a great idea!:+

Another busy day and no time to really post or catch up on other posts. I will do that once I get home. The time I did have today online I spent looking for Vegas wedding chapels. Tammy gave me a great link and I think I found a good place.

Anyhoo...I will try to come back later for personals.

I woke up feeling like total crap today but was up really early and didn't feel like just sitting around. So...I did not do HIIT like I wanted to but I did MIC Upper Body and Core Max #2. I PROMISE I am taking a rest day tomorrow. I really don't want to be sick for the race Saturday, but it's not looking good.

I'll be back in a while. Later taters!

Good afternoon ladies,
I am so upset right now. My friend Mary who has the breast cancer, just found out that she now has a staph infection where the tumor was AND they also found something there that they need to surgically remove immediately. ladies, If lose my best friend to this cancer, I will lose all faith that I have in my life. She has worked so hard to get through this and she is so strong. I will find out more later today. Thank you guys for always asking about her and caring. I will let you know more when I find out.

I did get a 5 mile run in today with my hubby and then did GS chest and tricep timesaver. I find the regular chest section is just to dang long, so I opted for a premix.

Sorry I have no time for personals.

Susan
