Good morning ladies!
This morning was a 5.5 mile run in a pretty good time for me, 48 min. My SO gave me a great website...
www.gmap-pedometer.com I'm sure you guys already know about it but I've been having so much fun plotting different routes.
Yesterday turned out a little different than I planned it. I got on the first horse and said "NO WAY!". It was just too uncomfortable. Also, this little heat wave is taking it's toll on the horses who have already started to grow their winter coats. So we all went to lunch and then went to see "Across the Universe". What a great flick! It's a musical entirely composed of Beatle's songs. It's kind of Moulin Rouge meets Sgt. Pepper, and is a bit "different" but it really hits you sometimes. I had goosebumps a few times and cried a bit...always the sign of a keeper for me! If you like more reality driven movies, this probably isn't for you but if you don't mind something a little "out there" you should enjoy it. Okay, Siskel and Ebert are finished now :+.
Wendy - Your uncle sounds like a trip! What a great guy. I'm so glad it seems the crud is gone! That was quite a little w/o yesterday for not feeling quite 100%. It sounds like you have some wonderful people in your life.
Shelly - Hope you enjoyed your intervals!
Carole - Thanks hon...I'm extremely excited, but terrified at the same time. This (horses) is the only thing I've done for the past 16 years.
Amy - Which Cathe step did you do? I'm missing not being able to any Cathes yet ;(.
Jackie - Sound like you had a great w/o yesterday!
Susan - I have this adorable mental pic of your DD working out with you with her little DB...too cute!
Kristi - Good luck on building back up. It sounds like you're very determined and have a very sensible plan. I *may* start to think about working up to HM, I don't know yet. Please try not worry about the numbers on the scale..I know they can be VERY misleading for me, sometimes. That stinks that your DH will travelling more frequently.
Lorie - I hope you are able to dodge those nasties before your 5K! 6.8 miles is pretty amazing for someone not feeling up to snuff!
Cathy - Yeah, the humidity has been pretty brutal here, too. I couldn't even imagine going out after dinner. I have to get out first thing in the am or I just can't do it. Enjoy your evening w/o!
Judy - Glad you enjoyed your w/o. Oh, you guys are all making want a TM just so I can do iTreads and CCs! You have a great week planned.
Jess - Wow, your girls are quite busy. I'll have to check your site out later tonight!
I'll try to check in after work (before bowling) to see what everyone's been up to. Have a great day!
