had a GREAT 20!
Wendy :: the baby is too, too cute...she slept the whole time during the visit...BF is still in a tremendous amount of pain. I feel so bad for her. She was told it will be about two weeks before she is back to getting around again...GREAT compliments you received--enjoy!!!
Carole :: how was your mom's therapy session today? Glad you had a good 14. Fantastic that you are able to get your miles back up there. Hope your teams do well. You were right--the somewhat unclean eating of the week had no bearing. But I feel better without the junk, so time to clean it up again. The scale is finally cooperating, and I want to keep that momentum going!
Karen :: mmm, M&M ice cream cake!! Today calories don't count for you. Hope you've thoroughly enjoyed your day.
Shelly :: glad you enjoyed a great run complete with the classic Rocky climb. The theme song came on the shuffle twice today. Cheesy as it may be, those trumpets always put a little spring in my step.

Woohoo, only 3 more to go!
Judy :: Understand why DS wasn't too disappointed over being eliminated. I'm glad your foot is responding well.
Gloria :: saw your haiku! It made me smile. I so appreciate the support here...I like heels to work, but I do not wear the killer ones frequently. I do have one pretty bad bunion on the foot with issues. I have two pairs of dressy shoe boots w/ a thicker heel that I wear the most. Otherwise, I tend to be a pretty casual dresser--jeans and tees or sweaters. But BEST of all--sweats!!!

Wow, DH's family really went through some hard times. Is he an only child?
Linda :: I tried the pb Power Bar today--thumbs up! I think I might like it better than the Sharkies. The tropical berry Cytomax seemed a little sweet to me at first, but I was OK with it. Great job with your long run...I hate getting chased! Glad nothing happened. I had one dog behind a high wooden fence "ambush" me today. I couldn't see or hear him, and don't you know, the little sucker waited til I was right in front of wherever he was and then barked like a maniac. Scared the bejesus outta me. *lol*
Today's long run was one of the best of my training. As I wrote in the blog, it was just pure Zen. Which kind of amazes me. I wouldn't think 20 could feel, well, sort of
good. Don't get me wrong--the going remains ever-so-slow and I do get fatigued in the later miles (esp. the last two today), but I am definitely making gains in endurance, and I'm just elated about that.
Busy day otherwise. Scrambled to get the rest of my schoolwork done before making a hospital visit. As mentioned to Wendy, my friend is in a great deal of pain post C-section, but they are thrilled with their new bundle of joy. She is just this perfect, little thing and slept peacefully throughout the visit.
Can't believe it is already Sunday evening. Where does the weekend go???
Have a good night, everyone!
