::: CHEETAHS ::: Going the distance (Sunday)

Sunny ~ You're right--they are. I had a few kids play that song "Through the Fire and Flames" on expert level, and I don't think they missed many notes! It was amazing to watch.

Kath ~ you've been TOLD, huh? Who nominated you--DH or MIL?...The chiro adjustment was great for my neck, but it didn't do the trick for my low back like I thought it would. Funny, I've met Bobby Clark a couple of times through local political events here (I used to work for a legislator)...he seems like quite the silver-haired playa! *lol* I feel the same way about Target. Get in early & get out.

Gloria ~ yesterday was more comical than anything else. Hope you made a good dent in the schoolwork. That is interesting about the hip displasia. I didn't know, either, that humans could get that. I suppose if you run for any length of time you're bound to rack up some injuries or general aches & pains. IA--Ellie looks sweet.

Carole ~ I run with spandex shorts and then running shorts on top. Most of my spandex are mid-thigh--this pair I accidentally bought some time ago is a bit shorter. They are going to Goodwill. I've used expedia, pinpointtravel (kayak), and hotwire and have gotten good deals. I recently heard about farecast, which predicts whether the fare is likely to increase, decrease, or hold steady...Do you have Magically Hips?

Wendy ~ http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/happycelebrations/th_wow.gif BIG UPS on your PR!!!!!! That's gotta feel GREAT!

Rock ON, my friend! :7 Hope you get the cramping in check.

Christine ~ Revisited Eion today. Thank you, my Secret Santa Cheetah Pal...it definitely ranks as my #1 yoga vid!! Two hours (!) of Tough Love?! Wow, that is wild!! I didn't realize it was a bike workout. Never get enough pics of Jimmy!

Linda ~ The hills do provide some instant legwork, but eventually, I will build a leg day into the mix, too. Glad you enjoyed a great run today and Circuit Zone.

Jennie ~ glad you're posting with us. Hope you can get in to the orthopedist soon and s/he can resolve the issues for you.

I completed Magically Hips, which felt GREAT and sorely needed. I had to modify a couple of twists because my back just didn't like that. It's kinda stiff now, so I've concluded Ba & Bi is not necessarily the best idea.

OK, the sun is setting on my Sunday here. Have a great rest of your night, ladies! TTY in the AM.

"Do you want to feel my spatula?" Run, Fat Boy, Run

Cathy: Hip displasia is something you're born with. It is something to do with first borns (which I am) and the way you come out of the birth canal. Wouldn't you know that my passion is fitness and I have this! Oh well. I am careful. I do not feel pain, but the way my bones move when running cause friction. When I found out I had arthritis I was hysterical. The first thing my DH said was, "Well, you better run that marathon while you still can." I love him soo much! :)

Well I was sleeping and my neighbor came over and woke me up (Ellie was going crazy barking because he doesn't come over that often) and I have to take his girls with me to school tomorrow, which means they will be here at 6:45 am. Ugh! This is my principal's kids so it may mean no "Meeting Monday!" Cross your fingers and toes ladies!! She is in another city. This is truly a PIA, but we are neighbors, so it's not that bad. They have helped us plenty of times. I'll have to think of new work out plans to be ready at 6:45. I don't want them sitting around my house while Andy is sleeping and me getting ready. I have no toys or anything like that to keep them occupied. Anyway, have a good night. I'm tired, but awake now. Grrrr.

Hi cheetahs! My internet service provider cut us off a day earlier than I anticipated. I'm at my parents house now for a final farewell dinner so I'm borrowing their computer to send you all a note.
No time for personals I'm afraid... except

CONGRATULATIONS WENDY!!!! Awesome performance!!!! Can't wait to run with you.:7 :7 :7 :7 :7

I will be incommunicado for a while. The moving trailer gets delievered tomorrow and we pack up and move in the next few days. Will be on the road at least 4 whole days. Anyway, when we get set up in NJ
I'll be signing on again... probably wont be til the 13th or so at least.

tata y'all.... stay healthy and happy!

Tired Cheetah checkin' in.

We are back from SIL's. It was fun but DH and I are both beat now.

Thanks for all of the kudos on the race! I'm still ridin' the "high" from it and will be limping atleast through tmrw. :7

I must tell y'all something pretty funny. I wore a sports bra, then a short sleeved running tee and then a long sleeved shirt over that to start the race. I had my ipod around my arm over the shirts and my garmin on my wrist. I have the basic one and it's HUGE! I also had my bib pinned to the long sleeved shirt since it was the outer layer of clothing. Lastly, I was wearing a hat. Well by mile 5 I was waaay hot and I knew I needed to get the long sleeved shirt off. Somehow I managed to take off my ipod, my garmin and my hat and get out of the long sleeve shirt, pull it over my head, put the ipod and garmin back in place along with the hat and then tie the shirt around my waist so that bib was showing correctly in front...all with out stopping! I was so proud of myself! LOL I think that was more of an accomplishment then the race itself!;)

Oh and I RAN the entire race. No walking at all. In the last mile or 2 I had to stop for a few seconds to tie my shoe but that was it! YAY! :+

Okay, I'm done being self-absorbed...off to bed with me. I'll catch up on personals tmrw.

Nighty-night girls!:*
