Morning, cheetahs
Gotta get some bloodwork done later this morning, and I am already fantasizing about the Hungry Woman Special I am going to devour afterward. }(
Yesterday after work, I was time-crunched to get to dinner on time, so instead of Rodney, I did 10 Min. Solutions Yoga: Yoga Burn and Flexibility & Relaxation (20 min. total). I like that one. It’s good when you’re time-pressed or your attention span is short.
It’s gonna be a gorgeous one today, so later I’m headin’ out for a run and will probably do CS or some more yoga.
Now for personals!
Wendy :: how was the purse/jewelry party?
Marcia :: yeah! Every teacher I know agrees that shorter weeks are actually harder. Yup, I think you hit the nail on the head – it’s springtime and they are in shutdown mode. Yes, I do have the summer off from teaching but not necessarily from working. Not sure what I'm doing there yet. I *know* you’re lovin’ those warm temps that finally came your way! I sure am!
Judy :: my eating has been helter-skelter, so I’m sure it could play a factor…I do know it was definitely not the kind of exhaustion I was dealing with last month b/c of the med dosage…I think it was mostly just a combination of having a slightly more stressful week than usual w/ the kids going bonkers and the marking period grades due...then poor sleep patterns & hormones on top of it all. (I have found that the week before TTOM, I am often a bit sluggish. It is also the only time I seem to get migraines.) It would probably be a good idea to analyze more closely what I’m eating…but the other problem there is that the week before is when my appetite gets WILD, and to some extent, I am resigned to the fact that I’m gonna eat more and I’m gonna want BAD STUFF!…How was your tempo run?
Gayle :: thanks for the well wishes…This one (like the last mig) was not as severe as I used to get them, so I can’t complain. They’re still annoying when they halt your plans, but I know it could be *much* worse!…The walkathon competition is too funny!
Linda :: how’s the X workin’ for ya?
Carole :: I hear you - I’m not a parent, either - but I do think that in many of these cases, if the parents are involved in the child’s day-to-day life, they *have* to be able to *know* if something isn’t right. I mean, for the parents to miss his developing psychosis entirely just seems hard to believe. I saw an interview of one of Cho’s HS classmates, and the boy said that Cho had created a hit list in 8th grade. So, it does seem as though there were already warning signs *before* he went away to college. I was talking to a co-worker about it yesterday, and he said the family owned a dry-cleaning business and the parents were always working. So maybe they were not around much for him.
Jackie :: well, normally, I wouldn’t have to break up CS...it was just bum luck...but I'm not too concerned...I will get to it again this weekend…Hope you have a great 9-miler today & enjoy the visit with DBF! You'll have to tell us about the new place you tried.
Christine :: sounds like the team gave you a nice send-off! That’s sweet …What were DD14’s overall impressions of NYC and the Broadway scene?…I say being poked in the rear by a nose is a lot better than what my friend’s dog does! I swear, that is one dog I can’t stand. His signature move? It never fails—that dog sticks his nose right in your crotch every time AND tries to keep it there! UGH! One time, I blocked myself and he actually went around & poked his nose *between* my butt cheeks! That dog is a violator. It’s not right! (And why does my life sound too much like a Seinfeld episode here? *lol*)
Shelly :: I don’t think you’ll see this thread til AFTER your race but know that lots of positive, speedy vibes are being sent your way this morning! It’s a cheetah race, so I know you’re gonna rock it! …*lol* about the adverse reaction to CS…Yeah, it sure seems that way…But no, seriously, I do like the workout (minus the maniacal Dreya rolls, that is)…it’s just been an “off” week for me, apparently.
Hi to anyone else who drops in. Have a great Saturday!
