::: CHEETAHS ::: Friday, what's not to love?

Shelly: I don't know if you will read this before tmrw or not but I will look for your hat around the registration area!!!! Looking forward to seeing you again!:)

Hello Everyone!

Cathy: Loved the Kool Aid man!! I drank a lot of that stuff as a kid! Hope your day wasn't too hairy with 8th graders and their senioritis! I can see how graduation practice would be boring. I went into school and got everything prepped for summer school. I am actually looking forward to this. I am in another teacher's classroom, but that's ok with me. Kind of like the new scenery. My new principal asked if I would be interested in teaching an after school advanced studies program once per week for eight weeks this coming fall. I think I will give it a go. I could do some sort of mock election or something. Fun! Of course I will be getting paid. Not a lot, but it will help.

Wendi: Your welcome for the support! Well, to run or not to run. What did you decide? Take care!

Kath: I would love for you to wash my clothes! LOL! Your washer does sound quite nice. Good luck today with your parents.
:)

Lorie: I hope you can get something figured out with this advisor. That is great that DBF is working out with you! Enjoy the show.

Judy: I hear you about running outside. Today was my first time this year. I hang my head in shame. Those darn Itreads are addicting! LOL! Too funny about the chipmunk! Glad you were able to round him up.

Shelly: Your place sounds wonderful and luxurious! The view is amazing I bet. You will soon be the queen of that fitness room! :) Yesterday my run was in the afternoon. We do not have central air so it was a toughie. Good luck in the race tomorrow with Wendy! Sending fast feet vibes out your way.

Wendy: That was so cute what you said about potty time. :) Raising children would be a very hard job I imagine. Very rewarding too though. As I stated to Shelly, good luck tomorrow. You will do great I am sure!

Christine: I was reading about New Mexico in one of those air plane magazines while coming home from a trip. It sounds fantastic and the food would be right up my alley. Love southwestern food! That is great you are loving your new toy. My DH worked from home for a little while and he just loved it and was able to stay on task. I am not so sure I could do that! LOL!

Jackie: OMG your workout room is a dream! Very nice and organized. DH and I have a similar ceiling fan in our living room. Yes, I am quite liking this life of leisure. I could get used to this! LOL! :)

We bagged our walk this morning due to rain and thunder. Felt good to sleep in. I still woke up at 6:45 though. The rain cleared up and I went outside for a run. Ran my 4.2 mile loop. I am embarassed to say that this is my first outdoor run this year. I just got hooked on the Itreads. I will try and be a good Cheetah and get my butt out there! :) I felt very strong, so what I have been doing this winter I am happy with. Great feeling! Tomorrow will be yoga and HSC. My calves are still sore!:) Take care ladies!

Happy Friday!

Not much time to post much but I miss ya’ll! Quickly scanned over the past couple days stuff and I wanted to say you guys are soooo funny lately and just plain AWESOME! I have to leave work a tad early to get some errands done for tonight’s dinner (DD19’s Bday cookout) cuz this is the only night this weekend that works for her to come up. Also have to go get my packet for the 5K on Sunday. I’ll try to post more either tonight or tomorrow eve..whenever I get a chance. Saturday is pretty busy up until 6 or so.

A few quick comments:

Cathy – I meant to tell you that if you really don’t like your Accelerade I’ll buy it from you if you want to get rid of it. What flavor is it? – Just PM me, K? Also, on your WW tips – I’d be so in debt to myself that I’d have to start using my CC to pay myself! LOL

Jackie – Your workout room color looks similar to my Coral Gables color but your room totally puts mine to shame! LOL LOVE your workout room! Gorgeous!

Shelly – WOWOWOWOWOW UH! Sounds like there really does need to be a Cheetah round’up at your place!!

Oki, that’s all I have time to say for no but Hello to all the Fab Cheetahs and good luck to the 5K'ers this weekend!!!

XOXOOXOXO

POSH :7

Ok-
TGIF Cheetahs enjoy!

I have to share my happiness- I did an afternoon workout twice this week. Usually if I do not get to my workout right after coffee, I do not do it. I am happy with my discipline to get to it later in the day twice in one week. Thanks for reading.

Now, Christine- I must clarify. I did ONE 9 minute mile instead of combo#3 and the finished product.... not 9 miles! I am not the crazy cheetah, LOL

Jackie- Your workout room is fantastic!! Nice color and layout. And are those built in shelves? Very smart idea!!!!!

Ok off to the shower and to re do my newer not so gray and shorter hair.
Then perhaps it will be a relaxing cup of coffee (while DH works out) before we start our Friday night date.

I have eaten well today, and hope to continue to do the same tonight.

Wendy & Shelly I would love to be able to hop over and run with you both! Have fun tomorrow, and if Compuscore is scoring go and introduce yourself. My bro, the owner, is David. Sometimes his son Michael or wife Phillis do races too!

Good evening ladies!

I ran out of time this morning to report that my easy 5K turned into my fastest 5 MILES ever in 41:05 :7. Funny how things happen like that lol! It certainly wasn't the hilliest route I've ever picked but it was fair, to say the least, with very long gradual inclines...no arse kickers today because I did those yesterday ;).

I will admit that I definitely hit a brick wall around 2:00 today and I think that the run, plus mucho riding, plus late Thurs night got to me. I'm toast.

I do want to check in with everyone though as you all have been so, so sweet and supportive...

Cathy - Had to LOL at the KoolAid man! I LIVED on that stuff until I was 24...nice eating habits, huh ? Love the "Skeletor" nickname. I have never viewed one of her workouts but I knew *exactly* who you were talking about. I hope you enjoy your rather hot outdoor HIIT this afternoon }(!

Kath - Again, I'm so sorry about the situation with your brother. You're a wonderful person to come forward and take charge of his care. You and your brother are in my prayers! You've been smokin' all your runs lately...you are one scary fast Cheetah!!!

Wendy - Hey, ^^^^5s to Joey!!! Oh, hon, you'll have nothing to worry about when you get your "real" job...you're going to be one amazing, super motivating, kick arse trainer!!!! I'm sorry I can't join you and Shelly tomorrow but I will definitely be there in spirit...{{{{{{{CHEETAH POWER}}}}}!!!

Lorie - Thanks sweetie. Yeah, you think it's taken me long enough to get the ball rolling?...sheesh *rolls eyes*. I love your low impact workout that you did today. I will definitely have to try that one sometime. I'm sorry to hear that your dissertation mess is still an ongoing problem that is certainly deserving of tantrum girl. I'm with Shelly...can request someone else? Ooh, BF runs, too, plus great accent, plus trip to Hawaii?!?!?! Okay, this one is way too good to be true...you sooooo deserve it!

Judy - Thanks love! OMG about Chippie ! My cat "found" a live one last year and, boy, did chaos ensue LOL! Glad you were able to get it out of the house without too much destruction ;). WTG on the PM workouts! I find afternoon workouts so much harder...kudos!

Shelly - Thanks for the encouragement! I think I just needed to find a jumping off point I guess. Although, I wouldn't mind having your job righ now if you're getting put up in such a classy place :p! J/K, though...I don't think you could pay me enough to do what you do. That is such tough work!!! I'll be running with you and Wendy in spirit...I'm so dissapointed that I couldn't make it ;(! Go kick some major bootay tomorrow!!!! BTW, I *might* look into that Philly HM. My only concern is that Philly can still be pretty hot in Sept and I just don't handle running in the heat...well, at least not yet ;).

Ack, bugger! I have to take this call :(. BBIAM with the rest....

On with our regularly scheduled program...

Carole - Heehee about the swamp cooler being a CAB lol! Eeek, 100s ?!?! Not for me, I can tell ya that! Great job increasing the weight on all of your leg exercises! It sounds like your rotation is giving you some good results.

Christine - Awww, hon, you're so sweet. That's me...overly planned and overly logical girl :+. We make for good organizers and problem/crisis solvers but we don't tend to take too many chances. I finally had time to get over and make a donation...sorry that took so long. I hope all goes well with your bike. Great job on your workout today!

Jackie - WOW, sweet workout room you have there!!! Ooooh, I just love cherry cabinetry! Have a good time at DBF's.

Gloria - I couldn't waste the absolutely perfect morning we had here so I just had to run :p. Great run this morning...glad you got to do it outside!

Posh - Sorry to hear about your little 5K snaffu last week :(. I hope you have an awesome race *this* weekend though!!! Happy Bday to DD!

Alrighty, that catches me up for now. I'm not sure what workout I may have on tap for tomorrow morning. I think it may depend on how well rested I feel in the morning because I am dog-tired right now. Off to bed...hasta manana chics!

Late post for me. The drive home from the beef & beer fundraiser was a bit of a hike, so I'm wired. :)

Wendi :: Holy smokes, that was a speedy run! Great job!...I think Shelly has a great way of looking at the job change. Hey, and as scary as it is, remember we are with you all the way!!! :) :) :)...Oh, I *love* the Koolaid man, and yay, I'm glad everybody else does, too. :) How can you not be happy when you see him? :7 :7 :7 I did guzzle the stuff back in my day, too. Ahhh, what sugary goodness. Cracked up about you livin' on it til 24. What made you give it up?...Yeah, it was pretty hot out there this afternoon, but not as bad as it was before, so I can't complain.

Kath :: I usually let things roll, but I'll admit, it does get to me at times when I hear things like that being said about teachers. The funny thing to me is that I even have to listen to it from my own family members. *lol* Oh well. No happy hour for me this evening. Too many end-of-year events are happening with retirements, graduation, and so on. I am fading. :)...That is good of you to be there for your brother. Sendin' some (((HUGS))) your way. This must be so difficult.

Wendy :: glad I didn't have to send Senor Julio up there in the early morning hours to make ya happy again. :7 I even threw in a classic 80s movie reference in my previous post! ;) :)...sounds like no need to cave on TT with AB workin' for you like it is. I imagine they are similar. I need to explore more of the TT site, though, because I can't see myself doing these same two workouts for the next 4 weeks...I felt the kettlebells-only approach did not work my arms as much as traditional weight training. My forearms, core, and legs seemed to respond most to the bells. I still need to figure out a way to work them in regularly.

WT :: I would *love* to make to Hawaii someday, but I'll pass on crashing the lurrrvefest. :7 Very happy and excited for you, though!...Oh OK, I get it about the testing. Your job sounds pretty fascinating. Sorry that the dissertation is a source of such agony. You really did get the shaft with that one. BTW, thanks for your email...I will respond this weekend. :) Oh man, the London mary had to be awesome. Such a cool city!

Judy :: OK, you had some excitement this morning, ay? Glad it wasn't too much trouble to chase it out...Great job being disciplined with the afternoon workouts. It can be hard to acclimate to new habits. Hope you had a great date night.

Shelly :: I have been relying a lot on the pony myself :), despite having had my haircut recently. I just get lazy. Why straighten it in this humidity?...Yeah, they were some surprisingly intense DOMS that crept in! I'm smiling at you in your kick-arse surroundings...good for you!!! It sounds like quite the spot.

Carole :: I wonder if you can watch any of the season 2 episodes on the Showtime site? If not, I saw you can download them on Amazon if you don't want to wait. :7 I'll confess, I downloaded the first book the series is based on. Won't be the same, I know, but it'll help feed the obsession somewhat. :) Wow, up in the 100s!! And you use this swamp cooler thing???

Christine :: I'm impressed by all that you do on the "light" cardio days! Your plan for today was also INSANE. :7 I plan to visit the TT site this weekend to scope out some other workouts. I *love* this method of training, but as I posted to Wendy, I don't necessarily want to do the same two workouts for a whole month. Plus, I noticed that there a bunch more exercises being shown & explained than are listed in the actual workouts themselves. No, I felt good today. Tomorrow I'll probably be in pain again. :7

Jackie :: What an elegant workout room for an elegant lady! VERY nice! You have me wanting to dust off AC+ once more. I don't think I fared too well with that one. Which reminds me. The chinups today were on the pathetic side. :7 Enjoy your weekend with DBF.

Gloria :: our kids are generally very good kids, but I don't know what happened today during practice. They were not getting it. One colleague said it was the worst practice he remembers (in 25 years). Glad you are all set to go for summer school. The advanced studies class sounds interesting. What will it involve?

Posh :: we miss you, too...happy b'day to DD...best of luck to you in Sunday's 5K. *lol* about going into debt paying yourself with those WW tips. :) That would be me, too...Thanks so much for the offer re: the Accelerade, but I've unloaded it already. Much appreciated!

After school, I caught the Netherlands vs. France (European Championship soccer) game, dozed off for a bit, and then did TT Day B (incl. my extra triceps set) and then 20 min. of intervals outside. Whew! I think that might have been the first time my upper body was tired out on a run. All in all, a good workout. The beef & beer was fun. I was one number off a winning a "money tree." Darnit. One of my co-workers hit the 50/50: $310. Nice!

All righty, let me call it a night here. Off to bed! GN
