Good morning, cheetah babes, and happy Friday!!! :D :D :D

I have Leaner Legs and a run on tap for today. S&H and the lunges from yesterday gave me pretty good DOMS deep in the glute, so this'll be interesting. :D Will knock it out relatively early and then I have a bunch of appts. to run around to today.

Not too many personals to catch up w/ since last night...

Wendy :: Glad the creams are doing the trick...yeah, gross as it is, I'm a scab picker, too...So, what it'll be today? The two timesavers or a rest day?

I will be doing the 2 GS u/b timesavers w/abs later this afternoon or early evening. I have a full day ahead of me today so I can't fit it in at nap time and I *refuse* to get out of bed before sunrise to work out!!! It just doesn't happen!:p :7 LOL On Sunday I will not be around until evening and I KNOW I won't want to work out then so I had to nix that idea quickly! I considered doing it tmrw afternoon (post-race) but I seriously doubt I will be wanting to do that either. After the race I am gonna be worn out and just gonna wanna be lazy.:)

Good morning Cheetahs! I see Wendy and Cathy are up early as usual and getting us started. I'm not sure what workout I will be doing today. I need to pack an overnight back for the family. We are headed to the inlaws after work and then returning home tomorrow night. I have a baby shower in Louisville on Saturday so we are trying to break up the driving into two days. Otherwise I'll be driving 3 hours one way to drop the family off and go to the baby shower. It will be fun though.

Cathy - I really haven't had a chance to use the elliptical yet. That might be what I can do today. My hip flexors have DOMs really bad because of ARX a couple days ago. Maybe that will help work out some of the soreness.

Wendy - I think near the end of August I should be coming into my inheritance from my grandmother's estate. She passed away the week of Christmas and finally her estate is getting settled. It has been really hard for the family (particularly my aunts) to move on with so much stuff that needed to be handled. To make matters worse the lawyer who is handling the estate is not a good guy. He has his own agenda going on because he was my uncle's best friend. My uncle was my grandmothers power of attorney. My uncle died 6 months before my grandmother. In any case, the lawyer is trying to work things in my uncle's kids favor wherever he can. He hasn't done anything illegal, but he has not been truthful with my aunts from the every beginning. Anyway, that is why I will be coming into some money. It's actually my father's share that is being divided between myself and my 3 brothers since he passed away 18 years ago. I'd rather we didn't get anything at all, but my aunts feel differently.

Well, I need to start working. I've been here at my desk for the past 25 minutes and haven't done a thing yet. I'll try to come back later.

I'm finishing up a fairly tame night at work:) I had a great speed workout yesterday and followed up with PLB, was a bit shaky at the end but pulled through:) Today will be PUB when I wake up... that it'll be it... no cardio! I bought some 30# DBs finally and am anxious to try em out }(

Susan- We'll all be arriving about in the same time frame on Thurs, the 9th. I get in about 4:30pmish, Carole is arriving sometime after 5pm I think and you'll be getting in at 6, so that works out pretty good! Our dear sweet Cathy is being kind enough to pick us up.
Nobody cares if you're a bit gimpy either!!:p I promise we'll cut you a little slack;-)

Cathy- OMG girl, you tryin to kill your legs????:eek: :eek: :eek: This should be interesting.... I'll be looking for your report on this}(
Thanks for asking about my FIL, he's had some minor issues but all in all is doing well.

Wendy- Have you gotten a chance to try your new Mizunos yet? I don't blame you for not wanting to do this workout tomorrow.... racing takes alot out of you! I'll be eager to hear your race report! Carole will be racing too:7

Cathy...my 1st Chiro tried to get me to quit coffee....no way! How has your low back been feeling? LL shoud be fun with glute DOMS!

Wendy...I think you and I will both be racing Sat. Good timing on the new sneaks! When do you leave on vacation? I used to know someone that was a scab picker....nah, there are lots grosser things IMO! Jari woorked out well this week as it was more of my recovery/endurance week. I even have a bit of DOMS in my shoulders from her workout yesterday. Enjoy your 2 GS ub Timesaver workouts today.

Kristi...hope you have fun at the baby shower.

Shelly...I think it will be a fun day tomorrow. My niece was going to run but she has Plantar Fasciitis! And my other friend has achilles tendinitis, so my sister and I will be the only women from our group running it. Yes, I believe Mike is taking Sadie. Great workouts as always...hope you had a fun ladder yesterday. So which exercise do you use the 30#'s for? If you say biceps I might faint!!

Jackie...the link worked. Great Pic! I will be doing just some stretching and the foam roller today. You must be doing a S&H rotation?

Jess...great job on the P90X rotation! I bet you got some good results.

Susan...glad you could check in. I can only imagine how busy you have been supporting your friend. I'm glad she has you...:)...Sorry about the knee, nagging injuries are not fun at all. So happy you will be going on the RT!!! I get in Thursday about 5:16 PM. I am sure I'll be a bit gimpy too unless my lower back and hamstring pain is completely gone by then...

I am planning on XStretch and maybe some abs today. Also using the foam roller on some sore areas...

kristi- enjoy your baby shower. there are plenty of things i can't do...like keep a clean house, lol:D

susan- thanks for checking in and letting us know how you are doing. we sure do miss you:)

shelly- enjoy that ladder workout amazing woman.

carole- let me know what you think of stretchx, i tried it once and only lasted about 10 mins before i became bored:) . if you like it maybe i will give it another try.

this morning i went to the gym and worked legs. i am also taking a yoga class later and am debating on whether or not i am also gonna take a kickbox class}(

Aahhhhh, a 5 day weekend ahead for me :7 :7 :7 Our school is without power on Monday and Tuesday, so darn it - not much we can do without that! I need this break from that place so bad and no plans for the 5 days either, which is even better. I can maybe get my workouts back on track and organize my office, golf with DS and hang out with DH :* . Life will be good! Even though I have to work at the bar a couple times, that's OK, the extra cash will help me pay for the presale that I need to order yet. ;-)

Today I plan on organizing my workout area and doing Cardio and Weights. I haven't done that one in a long time and is one of my favorites. It's another beautiful day here before we start getting warming AGAIN, I think the high of 80. I might go get my mom and go for a walk with her, too, after Cardio and Weights. DS is going to the county fair with my in-laws and his cousins so he'll have a blast and I will have some free "me" time.

OK, I'm talking your ears off now. I'll be back, have great workouts and a great day everyone!

Cathy - YES, let's :9 lick this eating problem together!!! It'll help with all the cheetahs behind us, how could we lose (or gain I should say ;-) )

Wendy - My party was canceled the hostess' mom was taken by ambulance and I haven't heard how things are, so it was an unplanned free night, but I was still worried about her family situation. She is a co-worker of mine, too, so I know her very well. The TS business is going good. I only do parties when I want and if I want so I'm as busy as I want to be, which is really nice. The National Convention is in a few weeks, so that will be a blast and lots of yummy new food to taste.

G'morning Cheetahs!! I guess I'm an official X grad today!! That'll be an easy way to remember it, on Friday the 13th! ;-) I decided to do WP Advanced sculpting circle, it's one of my fav pilates workouts. Now I'm having my oatmeal & coffee. I finished Tosca's Eat-Clean Diet book, it's nothing new under the sun but a good read. It does have some yummy looking recipes. I started posting on the clean thread again, extra accountability always helps w/ the eating!

Last night of VBS tonight!! The kids are all excited, if you brought a visitor this week you get a pony ride!! Allison went to bed last night asking if she could ride the pony after breakfast! :7 I told her she had to wait til after VBS tonight! And they're having snow cones for all of the kids too. We've had a really good turn out and lots of great kids. I think I've enjoyed it almost as much as the kids have! (I'm a big kid anyway!) My girls have worked hard at learning their verses too which makes a momma proud. Allison amazes me w/ her memory, she picks up so much from her sisters!

Poor Greg has a summer cold. He wasn't feeling well last night & was running a fever. He went to work this morning, but he only works til 10:30 on Fridays so he said he's coming home to take a nap. We need to take our *after* shots and fit test but it might not get done today. It *will* get done though! ;-)

You could join in on the clean eating thread if you wanted! It's helping to just have the accountability of posting. I know it works for me to eat every 3 hrs or so w/ good protein & complex carb. Sometimes it's hard especially when I take the kids to the pool or am gone, but I've been planning ahead & packing healthy foods in my little cooler or just taking some mixed nuts & an apple to snack on so I don't get too hungry. I find when I let myself get too hungry that's when I get in trouble! :p

Sorry about your friend's mom! I love going to TS parties, haven't been to one in a while!

Shelly - Glad you enjoyed your dinner with the family. I know you worry about your sis. Will keep her in my prayers. Yeah, I've resolved myself to just compete against myself and have fun with the races. Even though this race had over 600 participants, it wasn't bad. I think that's the size group I'd like to stick with. 30 # dumbbells! You go girl! You are one tough Cheetah!

Susan - Good to see you post. I'm glad your friend has you there for such great support. Hope that knee heals quickly for you so that you're not sidelined too long.

Wendy - I don't have any tats but I've always thought about a tiny little rose on my backside. Just too darned scared of that needle. My son has the grim reaper on his arm but that didn't convince me. Good luck with your race!

Cathy - How did the run and LL go this morning? Legs feel ok with all that wonderful DOMS?

Kristi - Enjoy the time at the inlaws.

Carole - I'm doing S&H for 2 weeks. Then, the last two weeks I'll throw in PUB/PLB combo and some of Cathe's newest ones. Trying to mix things up a bit. Enjoy your stretching today. Good luck with your race too!

Sunny - Enjoy your yoga and KB class if you do it.

I did iBi Boot Camp and a little extra stretching. Like this workout. Got to get to work. Lots of things to do today.

Back to let you know I’m still alive after today’s leg torture. Leaner Legs followed by a run is a doozy! I’ve never had my butt throb during a run a like that. Oh yeah, I think this week firms up my platinum membership in the Masochists’ Club. }(

Wendy :: my race day plan is always 5K to Couch. :p :D Tomorrow’s a 5-miler, right? Where is this one?

Kristi :: when I first started doing ARX, my hip flexors couldn’t take it!! I did see a lot of improvement in that area by the end of the X…I didn’t realize you lost your father so young…sorry to hear it.

Shelly :: whoo! 30#s….enjoy PUB!…Yes, I am trying to kill the ol’ thunder thighs from every angle! *lol*

Carole :: my low back is doing OK – some days it aches; other days it feels good. Occasionally, I get some sciatic-like spasms. She says I’m making good progress but that my neck is still problematic. She seems to find deeply-hidden knots in there. But it’s amazing how good you feel after an adjustment. I *have* cut back some on the caffeine but no way will I give it up entirely…I chuckled about having fun at the baby shower. Are any of them really fun? ;) :D Enjoy a good stretch (and maybe abs) and the foam roller work.

Sunny :: have fun w/ yoga & possibly KB class! I was thinking of maybe taking Cathe’s KB class this Monday (if she’s not filming), but now I have a chiro appt.

Marcia :: enjoy your well-deserved 5 days off! I plan to do another lower body blast rotation if you care to join me. I haven’t lost pounds but I am losing inches (in the right places!)

Jess :: oh, so today makes it official ~ congrats again!

Jackie :: Now that it's a few hours post-run, I think the glute pain has intensified. *lol* I am going to do some foam roller work and continue to stretch throughout the day. Does the iBi Boot Camp require any equipment? I may check it out.

Amy :: have a fantastic time on your honeymoon!! See you when you get back. BTW, did you see my question to you the other day re: teaching and being a fitness instructor? I was curious if you planned to do the fitness thing FT or PT.

OK, off to scare up some lunch and then I have derm appt.

I've been reading your forum and you all seem to enjoy chatting with each other. I was wondering do you have room for one more? I usually exercise 6 times per week but often have trouble with my diet.

Also I have three cats..if that matters LOL:) :)

cathy- no KB for me today. i wish i lived close to cathe's gym. i would be there everyday, lol. i did do yoga, ahhhhh!! i am so happy i have a dermatologist appt in a little while. my face has gotten out of controlx( .

I did Cardio and Weights - LOVE IT, one of my all time favorite workouts. I feel very energized and ready to go. DS just left for the county fair with the in-laws and cousins. So, I'm taking advantage of the solo time and called my mom to go for a LONG walk together. We can catch up and get an extra workout in. }( She loves it when I do that to her.

We'll probably meet up and the in-laws after DH gets off work to pick up DS and have supper there, so I won't be back.

Good morning ladies,
I just finished a great 45 minute elliptical run and cardio and weights abs. It was a fun workout, especially listening to my John Mayer on the ipod(teehee)!

My ortho appt. went well yesterday. He said my knee MRI looks good and there is just a little wear and tear on the patella, but nothing major. He thinks the side of the knee pain is a bad case of ITB syndrome. I have been foam rolling that area and ouch!!! He says that if it does not get significantly better in a couple of weeks he will give me a cortisone shot for it. I am feeling positive it will go away soon.

I am off to go get the girls from their camp. Have a great day ladies!

Cathy, THANK YOU SO MUCH for offering to pick us all up. That is so nice of you and I am so glad that I will get to meet you too.

I'm back with no workout to report. Today ended up being a rest day. I did however pack our stuff for our overnight trip so at least I did something productive during my lunch hour.

Cathy, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with hip flexor problems with ARX. I think until my abs get stronger I will stick with Cathe's ab workouts. Great lower body workout today! Do you like torture? I'm not that brave to do both on one day. Way to go! BTW, what LB rotation are you doing? Thanks for the support regarding my dad. He was very young, 35, when he passed away with leukemia. I was only 13 at the time. Funny, I miss him more and more every year. I guess because I missed out on all the great memories we should have had like him walking me down the aisle at my wedding or seeing his grandchildren.
