Good morning ladies,

quick check in this morning. i have 17 clients today.... . one includes my home personal client. oh boy!! i guess everyone is trying to get in for the summer.

today's workout will be GS legs and 30 mins on the EXT.

christine- thanks for the visual and since i already have one of those, (a one year old) i think i will wait a tad longer, lol.

I know i won't get a chance to pop back in so i wish everyone a lovely monday:)

Have a great day, Sunny, you are a busy Cheetah :) Keep up the great work, I bet you are an awesome trainer.

I'm finally recovering from our bar's anniversary party, etc. Whew...quite a weekend - long, but fun. A lot of friends and relatives came that I did not except and of course those you think are coming and don't.x( I didn't do the 8K yesterday, I hadn't registered just in case I changed my mind after the party and it was a good thing because I just didn't have the energy. I celebrated a little more than usual, but had a great time!

Today I'm working on my circuit training class to give them a few changes in the routine.

Have a great day everyone!
Marcia.

Wow Sunny- 17 clients!

Marcia- I would have never made it to a run after a celebration either. But it seems like you enjoyed the weekend !

Today I'm hoping to get in an outdoor run just 3-4 miles. My glutes are sore from Kick Max yesterday, I did use the foam roller last evening while watching Survivor with the kids.

I have a long list for today and a short day. It is Nina's official 16th Birthday and I am taking her and two friends for pedicures this afternoon. Before that it is clean max (we had 20 family members here for dinner yesterday) Later I have errands and DS had his first night of tryouts for next season's Hockey Team.

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Judy - How fun, pedicures with the girls, they will love it I'm sure.... I hope you get your run in that might help with your busy day to get some stress burned off ;-) Good luck to your DS on his hockey tryouts.

Marcia.

Good morning cheetahs! I thought Cathy would be back by now! It's been so strange not to see her open up the morning thread.
Today is a rest day for me:eek:  Yes I do take them.... sort of;-)
Just kidding... I think today will be a for real rest day, I will do a foam roller session though:)

Judy- Have fun with your group pedicure today:) and hope the run goes well!

SunnyD- I don't know how it will be physically possible to get in 17 clients:eek:

Marcia- Sounds like it was a fun busy weekend for you. Can hardly blame ya for not being able to fit in your 8k. How is the sleep number mattress doin for ya?

Carole- I replied to you from yesterdays checkin re: arriving on Thursday for the RT.

Christine- Your trail run sounded fabulous! BTW, if you get Runnersworld magazine, there is a great article on spinning and how it improves running. I'll bet your DD will be starring in the musical next year.... she sounds very motivated!

Cathy- where are you? How was your ski trip?

I hope everyone has a terrific day!

Good Morning Cheetahs Babes!:)

SunnyD: WOW, what a schedule girl! You are my hero!

Marcia: Glad you enjoyed the celebration! Have fun w/class tonight.

Judy: The pedis with the girls sounds fun. I know you will get everything else done. You are a FlyLady graduate after all! :)

Shelly: A rest day!?! WHOA! I think I'm gonna faint!:p Enjoy it girl! Goodness knows you deserves it!!!

Week 12 of the X has begun! Chest, Shoulders and Triceps/ARX for me! WOOH HOO!}(

Hi all! Quick post for me today. I read all yours, but I only have time for a quickie. I've got all 4 kids here today, and we have to get out the door for my DS's orthodontist appt (he's getting a band cemented in....going the band/retainer route for about 14 months, in hopes that we don't need to do braces later on.)

This morning's workout was great! GS Legs, B&G stability ball abs and a 2 mile power walk on the TM. I'm going to combine the April rotation with the rest of my training runs for this month. Felt great this morning!

Good Morning All –

I’m going to do Legs and Glutes today. My hams are a little sore from the trail run, but I’m better than I expected (especially for not having run for a while!). Time to get running again as I have the 10.6 miler in Big Sur at the end of the month. Should be interesting as we heard from the breeder last night and Moose/Taycin is ours! We’ll know which she takes them to Salinas Wednesday to the sire’s person to pick which is more show quality. I actually don’t care which. I lean towards one, then the other… I’m nervous, though! A PUPPY! Wow! Lots of work, but so worth it if done right. Need to start researching puppy classes and all that.

Sunny – 17 clients? Holy cow girl!!! That’s incredible! Everyone may be trying to get in shape for summer – but they chose you cuz you’re the best! Yeah, I know I want this pup, but I am having second (and third and fourth) thoughts when I think of all the work involved. Part of what made Tucker so special was that he was so well trained. That alone is a lot of work.

Marcia – Sounds like you had a wild weekend!! Happy Anniversary to your bar!! Enjoy planning your circuit workouts!!

Judy – Happy birthday Nina!!! And Sweet 16?! How wonderful! I love your idea of pedicures - how special. Enjoy your busy day – I’ll keep my fingers crossed for DS!

Shelly – I know, I couldn’t find the thread at first because I was expecting Cathy. Hopefully it means she’s BEAT from a fabulous weekend! I can absolutely see that spinning would help improve running. It focuses more on the muscles you use for running – hams and glutes – and really builds them. I’m sore today, but no where near how sore I thought I’d be.

Wendy – enjoy week 12 of the X!!! Have fun!

Good morning cheetahs

Sunny...no way I am decluttering HIS messy garage!! Good job with BBC C&A yesterday. Wow! 17 clients...how cool!! Have a great workout and day.

Marcia...sounds like the Anniversary party was a fun one!

Judy...Happy 16th B-Day to Nina! Hope your run goes well.

Shelly...good job with the 12 miler. I took a nap myself after only 6 miles!! Weird about the email...anyways the earliest flight I can get out friday will put me in Philly at 4:30 PM and I think that might be cutting it too close for the 1st Cathe GTG, so I thought maybe coming in Thursday afternoon or evening might be better, and when I checked flights it seems that will work. I think Susan wants to go Thursday too. I didn't know what the hotel reservations were for? Enjoy your rest day and foam roller..:)

Wendy...Week 12! Wow, you are almost done. Good job.

Christine...Good trail run yesterday. Sounds like your DD had a great time with the musical. Thanks, the recovery seems so darn slow...Congrats on Moose/Taycin!...yes, all those things to prepare for a puppy...:)

Gayle...busy day for you. Good workout!

Linda..the run felt good. Just a bit of pain in my hamstring. I know the tennis ball helps there...Are you planning for the 13 week P90X rotation?

Kristi...way to go on the 9 miles.

Jackie...have you tried Body Glide for chafing?

My hamstring was a bit sore after the run yesterday but feels fine now...I am planning on an iClimb 40 min after BBC Arms & Abs, then some leg floorwork.

Have a great day...

Judy, hope you get your run in. 20 people for dinner is quite a lot. I can see why you need to cleanmax.

Sunny, You must be one terrific trainer to have 17 clients in one day.

ShellyC, I have been doing my CC on my bike trainer and I think that's why I didn't have a problem running longer distances than I could before.

Marcia, glad you had a nice celebration and so many people showed up.

Wendy, almost there with the X. Great job. Did you make it to the benefit on Sun?

Christine, glad you have decided on a puppy. That's one lucky pup.

Carole, glad your run went well. Looks like you have another good workout planned.

I am doing CC#5 on my bike trainer and coremax.

Have a great day.

Good morning Cheetahs!!

Sunny - 17 clients! Hope you have a good workout with them all.

Marcia - Glad the bar's anniversary was great! I don't think you would have had any energy for that 8K. Good thing you didn't pre-register.

Judy - Hope you have a good run. HAPPY BIRTDAY to Nina!! Sweet 16!! Is she driving already? Pedicures sound nice. Bet the girls will enjoy that. Good luck to DS.

Shelly - Are you playing an April Fool's joke on us? :) Enjoy your rest day.

Wendy - Have a good workout! How are you feeling?

Christine - That's great that one of the pups is still available. I know you are excited.

Gayle - Good workout! Sounds like a busy day for you.

Carole - Glad the hamstring is fine. Haven't tried Body Glide. I haven't been bothered with chaffing. UGH!! I will check that out. Bet I can't find it at a Wal-Mart or something like that.

I started my Freestyle rotation today. I did BBC C&A treadmill workout. Didn't take the incline as high as they did and I worked at my own speed. Hamstrings couldn't take it. Did B&G standing leg and abs premix and about 10 minutes on th foam roller.

Have a marvelous Monday!

Jackie

Mornin' cheetahs!

Yesterday I did 4.5 miles on the treadmill. Even though the sun was out, there were 30 mph sustained winds and I didn't feel up to running against that, so I stayed inside. :)

Today is a rest day because I'm absolutely exhausted from painting my bedroom yesterday. I would love to go home and crawl back into bed! ;)

Sunny - wow, 17 clients in one day? That's awesome!

Marcia, it sounds like the bar's anniversary party was a huge hit! It also sounds exhausting - good thing you didn't register for that 8k. I don't think I would've been able to run it either if I were in your shoes. :)

Judy, have fun on your outdoor run! :D

Shelly, I need to have a date with my foam roller - thanks for reminding me. Think I'll do that this afternoon.

Wendy, woo hoo for Week 12!

Christine, congratulations on your new puppy!!! :D

Gayle, I hope the orthodontist appointment goes well. I wish I could get away with just having a retainer! :) When I get my braces off (hopefully at the end of this year), I'll have to wear retainers for the rest of my life (or, as my orthodonist so nicely put it - "for as long as you can stand it").

Carole, I used the tennis ball technique on my piriformis too - that helped a lot. It HURT but it helped. Funny how that works... ;)

Karen, have fun with CC.

Jackie, you'll have to let us know how the freestyle rotation works for you. I'm intrigued by freestyle. :)

Alright, I better get to work. Chat with you lovely ladies later! :D

ShellyC - the bed is getting better. I wasn't so sure at first, I couldn't find the 'number', but I read the manual and they said to give a number a few nights to see if it's for you. So either it's the right number now, or I was so tired from the weekend it wouldn't have matter what number I slept on just so I could sleep. :p

Have a great day everyone!

Hello Ladies! Another quick post, this is unfortunately becoming a habit. Work is so busy and with this being a short work week for me (only 3 days) I have so much to get accomplished. Today is a semi-rest day. I only did abs, even though I probably should have done total body strength training. However since I ran so much yesterday I don't want to tire my body too much. I've been extra tired lately so I'm thinking it must be from my long run.

Have a great day cheetahs! I hope to be back later today or at the latest tomorrow. Take care!

Hey cheetahs~ :)
I stopped in last night & tried to get caught up w/ reading posts but didn’t have a chance to post myself. So, I will just pick up with today.

Sunny :: great job fitting in your workout despite being slammed with clients today!

Marcia :: glad you enjoyed the weekend’s festivities.

Judy :: hope Nina enjoys her 16th…the pedis sound fun. Good luck to DS on the tryouts!

Shelly :: enjoy your rest day!…thanks for thinking of me…the skiing was a BLAST even though conditions were springlike. It was great to get in one last hurrah for the season.

Wendy :: wow, week 12! Can’t wait to hear your final report on the X.

Christine :: so happy for you that you’ll be getting one of the pups! I’m looking forward to lots of pics! Over the weekend, my hams were sore, too, from Friday’s RTTC session. I was surprised…Thanks for thinking of me...I *was* up bright & early this morning as usual but figured I may be getting a reputation as a thread-starting hog. :)

Carole :: if you guys come out Thursday night, maybe I could meet you all for dinner? Or depending on my work schedule, maybe we can get together Friday morning.

Jackie :: I’ve heard good things about Body Glide, too…maybe try a local running specialty store.

Emily :: don’t blame ya for avoiding those high winds!…I wore braces in HS and was supposed to wear my retainer at night, but eventually I gave it up. Your teeth *do* shift, so I have to agree with your doc…hang in as long as you can!

Hi Gayle, Karen, and Kristi!

I weighed in today for the Biggest Winner competition at work. I am only down 1 lb. (again, very little movement on the scale) but the good news is I have lost 7.5 inches this past month! I was quite surprised. Thank you, TONY!!! :) I’m also thrilled to say that since my dosage was adjusted, I’ve felt an immediate difference. After dinner, it’ll be CST + ARX plus a possible cardio bonus, but we’ll see. I got in A LOT of cardio in the past two days, so I may skip it.

OK, off to grab some grub. Have a great night, all!
~Cathy :)

Karen...hope the CC and coremax workout was fun.

Jackie...I also use something called Aquaphor for chaffing (mainly my HR monitor in the humid weather), you can find that at Walmart it is made by Eucerin. It is kinda like vaseline but with a healing agent. I hope you like the Freestyle rotation. Another foam roller user too!!

Emily...I am not a fan of running in the wind either...add some rain an it is really not FUN! Yes, the tennis ball is painful but it does seem to help.

Cathy...welcome home! Awesome job on the inches lost! That is great you are feeling better with the dosage adjustment...:)...enjoy P90X CST & ARX. It would be great to meet up with you Thurs for dinner or even friday morning. now, coming on Thurs is starting to look better and better...:)

Had a good workout this morning and saved floor legs for this afternoon. Gonna pull out and oldie. Firm Parts Sculpted buns, hips and thighs...(thanks Gin)

Hi Girls.

Reporting in from my mom's so I really don't have time for personals right now.

I got CS&T in this afternoon but had no time for ARX. I may do it tonight when I home. If not, I will do it on T/R/S schedule instead. I'll see what happens...So CS&T was uber tough today. The push ups about killed me as did the shoulder work. The only thing I didn't find really difficult were the tri exercises. I am soooo ready for lighter weights! I AM BEAT!

Hope all is well in Cheetah-land...I will get to personals soon! I PROMISE!:)

BFN!

Carole :: thanks!...A pre-RT GTG sounds great...Are you & Susan on the same flight?...I use Aquaphor, too, for my lips - they're super-chapped right now (another side effect of the 'tane - but one I don't mind).

Wendy :: no problem on skipping out on personals! Do what ya can when ya can. :) Hope you can fit in ARX.

I just finished CST + ARX and literally fell on my face during the one-armed pushups. *lol* I'm opting for no cardio. It's already 8 pm, and besides, as mentioned, we skied a lot this weekend. I used my HRM on Saturday and it calculated that I burned 1800 calories!! If only I lived near a mountain...skiing might just giving running a run for its money!

I'm still in amazement that I lost so many inches this month...I guess it proves me wrong in thinking that maximum cardio is what I need to lose...my respect for the X continues to grow. OK, enough deep thoughts! :p

~Cathy :)

Cathy - glad to have you back!!! We missed you. Glad you had a good time!

Well, the interview is over. She was very nice, and very much a dog lover. It was just really hard to relive it yet again. She says she is going to write a really poignant piece. We'll see. I'm just thrilled that Tucker will be memorialized in the local paper. He so deserves it.

Speaking of pups - turns out I misunderstood the breeder - her daughter gets top pick now as she's been doing well showing. The sire's breeder will decide top pick. If it's one of the boys, the other will go to the show home, and the girl will be sold. I cannot have a girl because of Queen Bee Kimo. She does not like princesses. We'll see.

Hi to everyone! Sorry no time for personals right now!

Emily - Those winds really make a run hard. Don't blame you for not running. I'm looking for leg strength with the Freestyle. Will definitely let you know. Hope you had a good rest day.

Cathy - Welcome back! Did you have fun? Glad you felt some difference with med adjustment. Congrats on the 7.5 inches!! Alas, I only have a Wal-Mart here. Will have to wait until I can get to the big city to look for the Body Glide.

Carole - Thanks! I'll look for the Aquaphor when I go to Wal-Mart. Think I will like the rotation. All the raves about the foam roller made me want one. Hamstrings are a little tight and feels like the roller is helping.

Have a good night!

Jackie
