CHEETAHS, Apr 4, Wednesday

Well, it's that TOM, UGH!! No wonder I have such bad cramps this morning. It's going to be a long day x( I have circuit class tonight, though, so I'm getting that ready and the rotation for one of the ladies - we'll see how that goes :7

It's VERY windy and cold here with some flurries in the wind. YUCK! We were so spoiled with the 70 weather and now this, it's not suppose to even get in the 30's today.:-(

I didn't sleep well again last night, but I don't think it's the bed because that's extremely comfy - I think it's the stress getting to me. Maybe I'll have to take a Tylenol PM or something tonight to really knock me out and sleep well. Hmmmm......

Hey there, Cheetahs! I know, I haven't checked in. I guess I'm not feelin' like a Cheetah & am really dealing w/ my achilles tendon. It's VERY sore & tight now. I've been icing & taking Aleve, but it's hurting just going up & down the stairs now. I know, I should get in to see the Dr. but I'm just so sick of going to see him for my running-related injuries. I sold both of my entries for my half that I had planned in May & the triathlon in June. I just don't feel I'll even be ready for the tri. Every time I try to get back into running something else seems to happen so I'm taking a break. I can't even do step or kickbox for now. It's back to the elliptical & swimming at the Y. And I'm going to use my entry fees towards a bike. I'm looking at a Trek, we'll see what kind of deal I can get.

For some reason I couldn't get back to sleep after 4:30 *yawn*. So... here I am! And.... my P90X should be here any day!! I talked my dh into doing it w/ me, so hopefully we'll be able to start next Monday!!!! You *know* I'll be coming here for questions!

Last week was so fun. The girls had a great time at Grandma's house, and then we had a blast in St. Louis for a couple days. (I added some pics to my picture trail if you want to see) Then the girls got baptized at church on Sunday & we had family down for that. So... busy busy!

Just wanted to check in & see how everyone is doing!

Wendy ~ I got Mr. YP's DVD!!! Thank you!! I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, either later today or tomorrow is my plan!
 
Hey Marcia! I didn't sleep well last night either. I don't know what the deal is! Sorry about the cramps, not fun! Good luck w/ the circuit class, sounds like a good time! ;-)
 
Cathy ~ Loved the mullet wig! What a riot!! My dh got a hideous blonde mullet wig that he work to work on Halloween, it was hilarious!! Glad you had a good time skiing w/ your friends!
 
Jess: Sorry to hear about your achilles tendon, injuries are such a bummer and throw a curve in your plans, hang in there, and do what you need to get it healed and back in the game. ;-)

Thanks, Marcia. I've dealt w/ the AT since my first half a year & a half ago. I had some probs w/ it while training for my full, but then dealing w/ the IT band it didn't seem to bother me as much. It's definitely hurtin' now though! I feel like an old woman hobbling up & down the stairs. I was able to ice skate last night at my dd's ice skate night though!

I thrive on being busy, I guess! ;-)
 
I hear ya, girl, I am always doing something or going somewhere and for the most part I like it that way.

I have Back and Biceps on tap for today but my upper body is sore. It was hurting y'day from CS&T and I am still sore today. I may do Legs and Back instead if I'm still hurtin' later...

ETA: I ordered a barbell last night!!! I have been hemming and hawing over this purchase for ages and I finally did it! WOOH! I also have new adjustable 5 pound set of ankle weights comin'. Mine are eons old, only a 2 pound set and the velcro doesn't even hold good anymore so they fall off while I'm exercising-UGH! LOL

Have to work today so I'd better get moving....BBL!:)
 
Good morning, ladies. Yet another day where I can only read and quickly post. I have to go back yet and read the rest of yesterday's posts too!

These kids are tiring me out! LOL. My goal has been to tire THEM out, but we're all getting whooped. lol Yesterday, I took them to the playground for a while and then we went on an hour-long hike at the state park just a few minutes away from my house! It was fantastic. I took them on the 2+ mile trail, with its steep climbs and descents. I was a bit scared, with 4 kids and some of those drop-offs, but we all made it safe and sound. Threw quite a bit of rocks in the creek, etc. It was simply AWESOME! We all zonked out right after American Idol last night! lol

Today....more of the same, but indoors since the cold and rain returned last night. Figure that out....yesterday I got sunburn, today I'll be wearing a coat again! lol We're headed to the YMCA this morning for a few hours of swimming. Then I'm going to treat them to America's favorite....McD's for lunch! lol Then DFiance's kids are going home, boo hoo. It's been FUn having them here all week!

OK...this morning's workout is complete. Started with GS C&T then iTread 1 for 6 miles. Feeling great, but feeling like I need a good stretch. So, maybe after DF's kids go home, I'll do a segment of Stretch Max.

Sorry, again, for the quickie post. I promise that by tonight, my house will be back to a somewhat normal keel. lol

Wendy, pretty soon you'll have every piece of equiptment. I need some heavier ankle weights too.

Gayle, sounds like hiking was fun. That's great you spent so much time making sure everyone had a good time. Good job on your workout.

Today I am spinning CC#6 Sean. I've been a little tired lately so I am shortening my workouts to 1 hour a day for a while.

Cathy..LOVE the pink mullet!!! Wow...shiny too...hope you had a great time. My flight comes in Thurs about 5:30 PM. That is the earliest I could find. BBC L&B is easier than B&G, it is different as you do exercises (like each leg) for 90 seconds. And 90 seconds can be a long time...:)

Marcia...sorry about the cramps. Hope you have a fun circuit class later.

Jess...so sorry about your Achilles tendinitis...:(...I have dealt with that 3 times and I know how bad it can get. Very frustrating to get injured without any good reason. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Wendy...I made my plane reservations last night! It'll be so fun meeting you too...How nice you got your step. Good job doing Plyo so late in the day yesterday. So you finally got a barbell?...WTG!!! I have those adjustable ankle weights too, they are nice.

Gayle...sounds like a good GS and iTread workout!

Jackie...glad you are liking Freestyle. Sounds like you got in a great workout yesterday. I use the purple band in B&G, those firewalkers are a real burner.

Emily...glad you had fun with C&W!

Linda...whenever I did P90X I always added in another leg weight workout as there was not enough legwork in P90X for me. 7.25 miles is great..some of those Firms did have good floorwork.

Shelly...looks like I'll be getting in to Philly about 5:30PM on Thurs. I did only the standing legwork form BBC so I'll tack on the floorwork along with PS floorwork today. Good job with BBC Fullbody.

Christine..you know I would love a link to Tuckers memorial article. I am not super stressed about my taxes, but hopefully I will get them done by this weekend...:)..I know the puppy thing will work out. Good news about the other puppies and the blue merle boy!

I am doing my fav, BBC S&B, floorlegs from BBC L&B and PS, a 3.5 mile run and maybe an iStretch.

Sunny, I usually workout between 1 1/2 hrs to 2.

Carole, I've only done BBC legs and floor cardio. I haven't tried any others because I didn't enjoy them. They are good workouts but not my cup of tea. Now you are making me want to try BBC S&B. Have a great workout. Do you run everyday?
 
Karen...BBC S&B is my favorite of the BBC's, plus Joey is easy on the eyes..;)...no, I run 3 days a week right now. I am trying to build up my mileage slowly...:)

Sunny - So 30 minute sessions work well for most of your clients? I'll bet you kick some butt in that amount of time.

Wendy - I can do about 10 unassisted pull ups but I'm changing them around. I'll do 2 wide arm (shoulder width), 3 overhand and 5 underhand. The really wide arm, I always have to do assisted. Glad you got the motivation you needed to do Plyo. What bb did you buy?

Linda - Good job on the 7.25 miles and floorwork! I wish I could get better at those pull ups but I don't do them on a daily basis.

Shelly - Glad you enjoyed BBC. I've only done the total body once. I should do it again.

Christine - Glad you got your spin in. It's nice to have Tucker memorialized. Great news on the pups! How soon will you know if you get one?

Karen - Is All Body Attack a must have? I like her Double Cardio workout too.

Cathy - Love the pink mullet! It becomes you. That's why I bought different bands for the firewalkers, my other one just wasn't getting the job done.

Marcia - Hope you feel better.

Jess - Sorry to hear that achilles is still bothering you. You probably did the right thing canceling your races. A new bike sounds nice. That's great that dh wants to do P90X with you.

Gayle - So, how old are the children? They're working you overtime. I needed to pull my coat out again this morning too. It stormed last night and turned cold. Good workout!

Carole - Hope you had a good workout. You motivate me to mix my workouts up more. I thought I wouldn't like changing out dvd's but it's not bad at all.

I did ME Leg Press premix, a 6.2 mile tempo run and a zencast stretch. Plan on using the foam roller when I get home to massage the legs a little. I'm looking forward to taking a break in a little bit and stretching some more.

Jackie, nice workout. I didn't even know there was a Leg Press premix on ME. I looked it up, short and sweet. Tough aftera 6.2 mile tempo run though. I wouldn't say All Body Attack is a must. Circuits are hard to fit into rotations, I think.

Good morning cheetahs! Woke up a little stiff this morning but I'm working that out and will get busy soon:) I go back in to work tonight but only for one night then it's a nice stretch off:7
Today will be HCE, circuit-#1 I believe. Then a 40 min iClimb on the EXT.

Marcia- Sorry the stress has been piling on you lately:( A good sweaty circuit class tonight should work some of that tension off!

Jess- Aw- I feel so bad for you:( How frustrating for you to be
held up with these injuriesx( I know how much you were looking forward in particular to competing in a triathlon. In the latest issue of Runnersworld they have a section on AT. You may want to check it out. Anyway, having a new bike should be a lift for ya!

Karen- Shortening your workouts to ONLY an hour?? oooh girl you sound crazy like me! A go getter like you would like the BBC total body workout. It's alot of push ups and tricep dips, alternating with the usual cardio- jumping jacks, mountain climers, burpees, etc
Some shoulder work, decline pushups. There is a very innovative lower ab routine whre you spell out the abphabet with your feet.
I've been hearing all the buzz about AllBody Attack... sounds like one I won't be able to resist getting.

Christine- So you're going to get your blue merle boy after all???
How exciting!!! Since he was just born it gives you a while now to prepare:7 :7 Congratulations!

Wendy- You mean after all this time you didn't have a BB?? I think for biceps in particular it really zeroes in}( So you are being true to the X again today and not breaking in your new platform?
