Cheetah - Runners Check In Thursday July 13

Good morning chatty cheetahs! So much wonderful positive energy here today! I finished with a 4 mile run, after a bit I'll do YogaX.
I was intending to do it yesterday but ended up doing legs and back instead. I must say I was a tad disappointed in p90x legs&back. The back portion was good but the legs just wasn't too challenging. It was fun however. There are so many innovative moves.

Thomasina- you sure are one busy lady. I felt tired just reading your post! Thank you for your story about the PF Chang marathon. The sheer size of it does make me nervous! I'm used to much smaller races.

Barb- I had major DOMS with the Chest& Back but so far with nothing else. I sure am having a fun time with these workouts though! You're right. Tony Horton is a hoot! I have some mental flexibility issues also. (Got to stick to the SCHEDULE no matter what!) I think I've been improving though lately. I think alot of runners deal with a little OCD.

Hi Jess- Very smart decision not to go on the country roads when it's foggy! I saw your pic in the Family Circle- you look great! Why don't you start in with the GS upper body tapes? You can save GSLegs for after your long run (Although I think GS Legs is the best one. But they are all great.

Wendy- Have a great time with C&W today. Feel free to vent here about your house selling woes.

Carole- You're doing a 5-6 mile run today and your 50k is Saturday? Wow, I wouldn't have the confidence to do that!!!! you truly are a SuperCarole! We will all be thinking of you, that's for sure! Is there a website for your race we can check on?

Christine- I absolutely love Gauntlet! Good substitute. I'm not into the walking lunges thing myself also. I absolutely LOVE the name of your stuffed cheetah! PLEASE post a pic of you with SuperCarole the cheetah at your race! PLEASE?

Hi Elaine- Best of luck to you, Christine and Amy on Sunday! I think it is so awesome you all are coming together for this!!!!

Time for some yoga!

Elaine...OKAY, after reading Shelly's post to you I know where you are going! DUH! LOL I normally don't read what is posted to others...I don't know why...I just don't but I happened to scan it this time so now I know!:)

Shelly...I have heard that the leg and cardio portions of P90X are not as tough as the rest of it. I don't know about legs but I know lots of folks who follow one of Tony's rotations tend to sub in something else on cardio days.

Marcia...I recall a while back saying that you and I were at about the same 'place' with our running...well, I take it back girl! You are leaps and bounds ahead of me!:)

Yes, I'm a go for the half on Sunday!!! :7 :7 :7 I've just been super busy and posting isn't as high up on my list as it used to be... :-( x(

DH and I are leaving San Bruno after his 1-3pm Jr. Giants baseball game on Saturday and I have to get to the Lodge by 5 to pick up my packet!! Will you ladies be there on Saturday afternoon too?? Maybe we can have some fun before the run misery Sunday morning (I'm woefully unprepared for the 13 miles :-( :-( ). I guess I'll wear my Cathe shirt on Saturday, Elaine, flag me down if you see me!!! I've studied your picture trail in anticipation... :p

hello everyone,

I managed to get up and run 3.5miles this morning at a 9:25 and felt pretty decent running it today. Probably the best I have felt running in quite awhile. Hopefully it means I am on full road to recovery.

carole hope your run went well.

marcia I know how you feel about feeling tired for the runs and unmotivated sometimes. hang in there it will pass even though there are days it seem like it wont. I get very frustrated when I dont perform like I normally do , at my best.

I am still debating over running this weekends race or not. It is suppose to be very very humid and 93 degrees. Not good for my asthma anyway plus with how the last two months have been for me. I'll decide at the last minute.

hope everyone has a nice day.

I went to Kohl's tonight and while I was looking for a B'day present for my 7 year old niece I manage to spot a rack of workout/running apparel across the aisle that was on sale for less than half price! I picked up 2 pr of shorts and 2 sports bra tops for super cheap!

Just had to share my joy!;)
