Checkin for 8-19-01

Hi everyone!! I had 2 birthday parties tomorrow and I just finished working out, so I'm going to go ahead and post now.
They are going along smoothly with my bodybuilding diet and workouts. I've lost 3lbs and 1% bodyfat these past 2 weeks. Right on schedule. Ok, here's my week:

MON: yoga, PS and S&H chest and back and abs, StepFit

TUES: yoga, PS and S&H bi's and tri's and abs, Rythmic Step

WED: PS and S&H Legs, shoulders and abs

THURS: yoga, PS and S&H back, bi's and abs, Mega Step Blast. Has been a long time for this one. Not as hard as I remember, but still fun.

FRI: yoga, PS and S&H chest and tri's, Intense Moves

SAT: yoga, PS and S&H legs, shoulders, and abs

SUN: B-day parties and REST!!!!

Ok, everybody have a great week before school starts back up!!

Aimee

Wow Aimee, that is one terrific week. I know you worked hard for those 3 lost pounds and 1% body fat.

My week was okay:

MONDAY: Step Heaven--1st section and 5 minutes of 2nd. I was not energetic this day and even this video did not inspire me.

TUESDAY: S&H Bi/Tri AND Breakthru Core Conditioning Pilates, only half of it.

WEDNESDAY: YARDWORK

THURSDAY: S&H Chest AND Walk/Run 2 miles

FRIDAY: Step, Rhythm & Moves---S&H Back---Breakthru Core Conditioning Pilates, only half of it.

SATURDAY: Walk/Run 2.5 miles

I just got Step, Rhythm & Moves and it wasn't exactly what I expected. I didn't dislike it but it didn't thrill me either. I like Petra (one and only tape of hers that I have) and she cues extremely well but she just broke down the moves way too much. My heart rate was never up but I did sweat some. Does she have any harder videos? The Breakthru Pilates is new for me also. My core strength is nonexistent so I am trying to improve this. I really like this video, well the half I have actually done. I like the instructors as well. I believe I can grow with this tape. My running is coming along nicely. I can almost run a mile all at once instead of in increments.

Alrighty, how was everyone's week????

Kelly

Hey all!

I'm going to go ahead and post too. We get to go babysit our angel tomorrow while her Mommy & Daddy go the the Indians Game. Can't wait to see her! I hope this posts okay. Is anyone else having any problems with it loading VERY slow? Also, my post to Trevor blanked out all my emoticons??? Hmmm.

Aimee~Great job! Your hard work is paying off. Congrats on your
results!

Kelly~Good week 4 U! Keep up the jogging. You will love it after you really get into it. I am enjoying it sooo much now.

Okay, my week~It wasn't the greatest as far as strength and I am bumming big time about that. I even got a loan of the new tapes from HoneyBunch but there just wasn't enough hours in my day this week. (Thanks HB!!)I did get a good amount of cardio in with my jogging and
making up new routines, not to mention practicing them OVER & OVER!

Monday~Jogged 4 miles, practiced new routines

Tuesday~Taught a Hi/Lo class and then went to an instructor friend's class that night since hubby was out of town.

Wednesday~Jogged 5 miles, did Power Hour! GREAT tape, I loved it! Super music and I liked splitting up the moves for body parts such as not doing all leg exercises together.

Thursday~Taught a Hi/Lo class, practiced routines

Friday~Jogged 5 miles, practiced AGAIN!

Saturday~Jogged 5 miles, and you guessed it~Practiced routines again. I think I'll be ready come September for my All-New
Session!! Wish me luck!

Sunday~Work my BIS & TRIS holding Kennedy! :7

Have a great week everyone. Look forward to hearing about your week.

RE: house reno land

Hi guys

Soon, there will be no trace of my ex-husband's smoking (or presence) at all in my house! (This was a man who smoked 2 packs a day and burned my carpet in my bedroom many many times with a cigarette because of his refusal to not smoke and fall asleep while smoking). Good riddance to the jealous psycho alcoholic boy that he was. (little vent there - sorry). Took a year to get to the painting after I kicked him out and now it is happening. Life is good.

I somehow managed to find a connection for the internet amongst all the painting and stuff going on in my house this week. It should be wrapped up in a couple of days, however, my workouts have been somewhat sporadic through it all. Normally, this would be no big deal but with a triathlon one week away, I have not been swimming or biking yet! Yikes - I guess I will just wing the damn thing this year.

Here was my week such as it was:

Monday - Power Hour

Tuesday - rest (but worked all day in the house till bed time)

Wednesday - run 60 minutes

Thursday - rest (worked hard in house again)

Friday - Bodymax (I maintain that if I can do this workout, I am ready for the triathlon which takes me about as long as finishing Bodymax does - give or take this year)

Saturday - more house reno stuff but no scheduled exercise

Sunday - plan to run the triathlon course.

Kim

Wow Aimee! That's quite a week. Forgive the meddling but.. a 3# weight loss is a lot in one week for someone of your fitness level, are you eating enough? Getting lots of sleep? I know you did your homework, so just reassure us.

Kim - bet that house is looking marvelous. Take it you're on a working vacation?

I've been doing pretty much the same routine for several weeks using the PS tapes to get ready for Slow & Heavy. Still trying to figure out the leg work equation - how much weight work & how light, so that I still have plenty of power for riding.

Mon: Trot 30 min w/ dogs; PS legs (up to calves); PS BBA
Tue: cycle 15 min -> flat -> broken pump ->walk bike home; Stott matwork
Wed: Spinning; PS CST; PS legs (calves, floorwork & abs)
Thu: Cycle 33 miles (hilly); Stott matwork
Fri: Trot 30 min w/ dogs; Bodymax upperbody
Sat: Cycle 47 miles w/ DH
Sun: Millenium Stretch & rest

The heat really got to my husband yesterday. Usually I'm affected more than he is. He still kicked my backside on every hill. If I can't beat him when he's feeling bad & with a sore ankle, I'm never going to beat him. I do make him suffer on the flats even though he's drafting. And we saw the most unbelievable sight, a man wearing one of those metallic "sweat suits". Scary.

Have a good week everyone! Be careful in the heat!
Debra

Wow Aimee my body would probably be dead if I did S&H two times in a week. Whew!

Kim-When I read the subject of your post I thought your were moving to Reno!

I was supposed be done working this week, but they put off doing the interviews till Thursday. Argh!

Mon. CTX Kickbox
Tue. PowerMax and CTX back, chest, plank, abs, and 4 negative chins
Wed. MIC 1st 45 min...legs were pooped!
Thu. CTX bis, tris, planks, abs
Fri. LL and CTX shoulders
Sat. rest
Sun. I went out and dug to post holes this morning and my legs got so tired??? Maybe from LL? That workout kills me everytime.

Andrea

Hi Debra!! Did I write 1 week? Oh, dear, I'll have to go back and edit my post. That 3lb loss, was for 2 weeks worth of work, so about 1.5lbs a week. I've been assured, that I'm right on track. I had 2 pieces of B-day cake today though. I tried and tried to resist, and it did not work. When I finally gave in WHAM!!! I had 2 pieces instead of 1. I'm not happy about, especially since I change my training this week. I'll only be doing 1 bodypart per week rather than 2. I'll definately be very careful with my diet this week. I'll tell you one thing though, that cake was GOOOOODDDDD!!! he he he! Ok, I'm getting reassured by the pros on my weight and bodyfat, so I guess all is going well. I don't think you were meddeling, just concerned, and honestly, I appericate it:)!
Have a great week!!
Aimee

wow!

Aimee! I don't know how you do it!! Great week :)
Everyone else, great weeks for you too, and Debbie H., I've been gone a while, but read that you are breaking free--congratulations and have a blast!
Well, Lee went to his international conference thing ( a yearly company thing), and was awarded with membership in "The President's Club"--basically the best 5 people in the company for the year!! I'm so happy for him ( he helps speech therapists and family members of kids with CP and other forms of brain damage learn how to communicate on digital devices), and the award is a vacation ( I get to go, too) to the Bahamas. Yugg--now I'm really going to be extra motivated to keep up the shaping up!! I never go to the beach, so I don't often have to face a bathing suit...Still, I can't wait!!

Anyway, here's my week:

MONDAY: rest (major DOMS from LL and MIS legs from Saturday)

TUESDAY: MIS upper and abs

WEDNESDAY: All Step and step from 10-10-10
KB abs and planks, stretch from 10-10-10

THURSDAY: leg floor work

FRIDAY: 2k01 hi-lo + CK leg and arm drills
CMax planks and stretch

SATURDAY: MIS

SUNDAY: Imax wu + Still Jumpin' part II

I've cut down to 3 cardio per week, and plan on doing MIS and PowerHour once each, with exra floor work throughout the week. I hadn't done MIS in a long time, and it really kicked my butt!

See you,
Wendy

Good one. I am sure my brother and father who live in Vegas would not mind having me a little closer but...no such luck.

Kim

RE: Working vacation

Hi Debra

I guess you could say that since I am on holidays from my job but I sure have been working hard nevertheless. It seems that if I do not work out first thing in the morning, I am too wiped to do it later on in the day. I have even been forgetting to eat (which is quite a thing for me since I love to eat).

Kim

tue= s&h tris and bis + cardio kick/

The rest of the week I repeated as above changing my treadmill preprograms........... how does this sound?????? any suggestions are welcome.
I also plan to buy one of cathes stepp tapes that arent so hard to do...

RE: fitmommy and Denice!!

WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME!!! I'm posting to help you all spend your money;-)! Anyway, here are my top Cathe picks.

BodyMax (My all time fave!! TOUGHIE!!)
PS Series- all 3 love these too!!
IMAX-Denice, tough workout, but the step isn't too hard to catch on too.
MIS- fitmommy, i know you already have this one, so this is also for Denice.
CircutMax-Another not too hard footwork wise, but intese workout!
Crosstrain Express- Good series!!
PowerMax- Another great all step tape.

There are lots more, these are just my top pick of Cathe's past tapes. Not the new 5 she has out. I do love the Slow and Heavy Series and Rythmic Step. I haven't had a chance to do Power Hour yet. I just thought I'd give you some of here older ones to become aquainted with her past work also.
Ok, spend away newbies!! We love to help people spend their dough!!
Welcome again!!
Aimee

RE: fitmommy and Denice!!

Thanks aimee, When you get a chance take a look at my rotation???? also where can I get a good aerobic stepper???????? I am going now to order imax, mis I do have and love it it was the first one I bought of hers. Thanks aimee, Denice.

RE: Hi Denice!!

I like it. Are you doing a two days on one day off deal? That's what I just started this week. There's only one thing I would change and that all you intervaling. I have always heard to put two days reat in between interval workouts, just like you would weight training before hitting that same boday part. If anything Id at least change it to every other day and keep the other cardio days just a walk or a jog on the treadmill. I know it won't feel like you're doing as much, but remember, those days in between are your recovery from the hard work so that you get stronger. If you keep doing intervals day after day, you'll get weaker. Personally, I do my interval workouts on Mon. and Fri. That gives me a big ol' rest period dosen't it!! Anyway, I used to do it like that and this week I started up again. Besides, once you get IMAX, you'll definitely want that days inbetween:)! Keep up the good work!! I really like that you're doing 2on/1off with the weights, good idea!! Have a great day Denice!!
