Hello everyone. I hope everyone has had a great week.

My week was weird. I just was not in the groove. I guess I did okay but I've got to get back to some challenging stuff. My husband had a supervisor's meeting at a local hotel Thursday and Friday. I went with him and spent the night at the "nice" hotel with him. While he was in meetings Thursday night I lounged in the bed and read some of John Grishem's newest, The Summons! Looks like it is going to be a good one.

Monday: BFRD

Tuesday: CIA 9801 AND Tamilee's Total Body Stretch (standing)

Wednesday: Pilates for Dummies I'm getting a little better

Thursday: 30 minutes of stretching ( more on this later)

Friday: 30 minutes of lifting weights Let's just say this was a "I did it myyyyyyyy waaaaayyyyyy" type week!

Saturday: Advanced Step I breezed through this like it was nothing. I don't know what was up with me. I felt like I could go on forever. Unfortunately I had a time limit.....as usual.

There are two chiropractors in the office that I go to. My regular dr. was out and I saw the other one which I had seen once before. I really like this one. Anyway, he gave me a couple of stretches for my lower back. He says it does not curve like the rest of my back and I am very stiff there. Probably because I guard against the pain. Rounding my lower back is what causes the pain most of the time. So while in the hotel room by myself I just worked on stretching which felt quite good.

Can't wait to read everyone's week!!!!!:D

Hi All! I had an okay week. Some weeks are really rip-roaring and this was not one of them. When I do IMax I feel like the week was a high achieving one. Did not do it this week. Anyway, here it is:

Sun 2-24 Hi-Lo Heaven stages 1 and 2 only

Mon 2-25 Warm up from Cardio Kicks, my own weight work with drop sets on shoulders, triceps, biceps. Rode bike to work.

Tue 2-26 Crunch Boot Camp, some step-ups.

Wed 2-27 Rest

Thur 2-28 PS Back, Bi, Abs

Fri 3-1 Rest

Sat 3-2 (today) PowerHour, bike ride with kids about 25 minutes. PowerHour whipped my B*tt especially the lunges- at least, the ones I did. Next time on the lunge sequence I will use No Weights but do All the Reps (this is in my workout log).
I did the chest work on an incline this time. Triceps toasted as always.

I am trying to work up the courage to actually do Rhythmic Step. Any helpful hints from anyone about breaking into Cathe step workouts? Learning choreography without missing out on workout intensity is hard.

How do I transition without missing too much real workout time? I have only an hour a day most days. I still want to get strength work in too. Step is intimidating but I can almost do most of the interim step work between intervals in IMax. (Tell me to Just Do It!)

Hi Everyone!

Oh Kelly. Back pain is the worst! So sorry to hear this is on going. It affects everything you do. Hope it is "fixable and healable". Trust you had a great time with your husband. Can reading John Grishem can be counting as mental aerobics?

Connie. I made a commitment to do Rhtymic Step this week. I find it frustrating! I did dance for 18 years but I am turned around with some of the new moves in it. So once every week until I can do it I will. What I have been able to do has made me sweat and elevated my heart rate way up. I know it will be incredible. Up there with Interval Max! To me it's a challenge...It's someting I am struggling with now. When I can complete this, the feeling of accomplishment will outway the frustration! It is so flowing and fun that I made a commitment to do it once a week until it is easy!

Here is the week...

Mon: Power Max
Tues: Interval Max, S&H Legs & Shoulders, Ran 3 miles
Wens: Body Max, ran 3 miles
Thurs: MIC, S&H Tri & Bi
Fri: Rhtymic Step
Sat: Interval Max, MIS
Sun: run 3 miles

Hope Everone is doing well!!!

Laura

P.S. Would like to post pictures of myself and family but don't know how to since my "bio" is done. Any suggestions? And...How do you update your "bio"? Thank you!!! You are an educated crowd!!!!

Ugh...I don't even know why I'm posting my workouts this week as I basically did NOTHING. (Can you tell how disgusted I sound???)

Between my period one week, a stomach flu another week, a sore throat the next week, these past few weeks have been AWFUL!

But I still love to read what everyone else did, and I figure after you read MY workouts, you'll feel really good about YOURS! LOL

Monday: Nothing, sick with a cold.

Tuesday: Ditto

Wednesday: Cold went into my chest, so alot of coughing.

Thursday: CTX Step & Intervals plus ab work.

Friday: Bad move for me doing a workout on Thursday. Felt AWFUL the rest of the day, so took another rest day.

Saturday: Decided I'd pass on cardio, but felt I should be able to do some weight work. Did Leaner Legs/Abs.

Sunday: I'll probably do some upper body weight work just to do SOMETHING. But I'm still definitely not up for cardio yet.

....sigh....can't wait to feel better....

Terri

Wow :-wow I don't think my body could make it through a week like yours. I think if your logged in there should be a profile icon at the top of the page and you can edit there. As for adding a pic I'm not sure!

Hey everyone...

Good week here... I started no sugar /no white flour... (funny about 5 of us started last week!) We just started a checkin too

Also joined a gym (well a week membership pass) it's awesome and right in my office park --

The sad thing is was week 4 of S&H LOVED that rotation and what amazing results - funny to see how many other folks had withdrawl when this rotation ended.

Thinking (while I'm not doing S&H) may do the gym for strenght circuit and weights (though not totally sure)

Well here's the week (was really into strength this week)

Sunday ran (2.5) circuit max
Mon rest
Tues S&H - legs and shoulder
Wed S&H - chest and back
Thurs S&H - Tricep bicep
Fri LL
Sat gym - cardio machines
leg circuit

Have a great week anyone --

Hi Guys!

Sun. rest

Mon. Still Steppin' Sec. 1 and taught hi/lo

Tue. starting to get sick. Decided not to work out and couldn't sleep anyway. Should have worked out!

Wed. Taught a hi/lo and figured since I had such a bad night Tuesday I'd go ahead and work out. Did Power Hour and Step Fit stretches. Used no weight for the squats and STILL couldn't do that second low end.

Thu. Still Steppin' Sec. 2 and practiced routines

Fri. MIS upper and abs and practiced routines

Sat. rest

Hi Connie--
If you can do Hi-Lo Heaven, you will be fine doing Rhythmic Step! The choreography is no where near as complex, in my opinion. If its the actual STEP that is throwing you, do it without the step until you get the moves down, then add the platform in, then add risers.
Also, I would definitely watch the workout a few times before you do it if getting moves is tricky for you. Cathe is a great cuer, but on this one I notice that she often says the move AS she's doing it, rather than before...
Maybe just watch it in 15 inute increments, really paying attention, so that when you try it, you'll be ready for what's to come!
Good luck :)

Thank you, Wendyloo and LovemyLab! I needed some words like that! As for your picture, Lovemylab, mine is in my profile under "profile information" but it doesn't show up in posts or anything, at least not from my end. I copy and paste people's pics from their profiles into my address bar, to see their pics.

Here's a link to how to embed images into your post, but I haven't seen them work- maybe it's my computer settings:

Hope that helps.

2nd edit: Whoops! Maybe it does work. I can see my photo here, can you? I did what that link said to do. I added it as my signature.

Hi everyone! After my depressing 2 lb weight gain last week, I tried hard this week to eat cleaner. It wasnt a perfect week b/c my husband and I went out to dinner one night and had pasta and then dessert, but overall it was much better than last week. And, I'm sure the upcoming week will be even better...just a matter of getting on the wagon again! Here's my week...

Monday---Step Jam + abs

Tuesday---Circuit Max (a leg workout) + CTX Chest/Shoulders/abs

Wednesday---Step Heat + CTX Bicep/Triceps

Thursday---Planned Rest Day

Friday---Body Max (1st cardio section) + CTX Back/abs

Saturday---Interval Max (First time in a long time, many modifications of course)

Sunday---MIS upper body + abs

Great job everyone and good luck next week!

:)Stacy

Finally got back from my conference, so I'm here to check in and keep myself honest. ;-)

About the least stellar week I can think of, but here it goes:

Monday: up and down the concourse on 3-hour layover power walk
Tuesday: short hikes with kiddos, private Pilates session
Wednesday: short hikes with kiddos
Thursday: private Gyrotonics session, Step n Intervals
Friday: nada
Saturday: nada
Sunday: S&H Chest, Biceps; first 30 min. of Cardio Kicks

Saw two surgeons this week, on Thursday and Friday. Looks like I have to have another surgery :-mad as the first and second opinions matched. It won't be a big one, but I'll be off work and working out for a week. Darn it, anyway.

Here comes that big foot to stomp on my head ...
