Steppingup

Cathlete
Hello everyone! I guess I will start the ball rolling. My week has not been the best in many respects. My son has been sick with a runny nose, and throwing up and sore throat. I was up all night with him Tuesday (one miserable, long night). His 3rd birthday is the 26th of this month and we are having a party on the 23rd. I am cleaning the house from top to bottom. For three days I have been washing curtains and washing blinds. Not a fun job. Monday or Tuesday I will begin the process of scrubbing the kitchen floor on hands and knees. It REALLY needs it. And then I have all the "regular" type cleaning...vacuuming, dusting, cleaning out the fridge, washing all the kitchen counters....and the list goes on. I am pooped already!!!!!

MONDAY: BFRD Just could not fit it in. If it wasn't one thing it was another. I was doomed from the start.

TUESDAY: Step This Wasy (1st section) Tamilee's Total Body Stretch (floor)

WEDNESDAY: Pilates for Dummies

THURSDAY: Step Fit (20 minutes) I was not into this from the start. I was really still feeling the effects of lost sleep.

FRIDAY: BFRD I had to take my very large Lab to the vet because he has been hopping on one leg for days. He was such a sweetheart. I was dreading it but my brother helped me and it went smoothly. He has strained his ACL in his back left leg. The vet said keep him calm (who is he kidding?) and I'm giving him an anti-inflammatory. That dog is never still...NEVER! I just hope it heals quickly because the vet said it would be seriously difficult to treat that type of injury on such a big dog if he was to tear the ligament.

SATURDAY: Great Moves (hi/lo) Marcus Irwin (20 minutes) Is this guy cute or what? This was my first time with Marcus (that sounded better in my head...LOL). I really like him and will be buying more of his videos. Oh yeah, also Tamilee's TBS (floor)

After next week things should get back to normal (whatever that is) and I can put more effort into my workouts. That is if everyone stays well, including my dogs. Oh the life of a mother!!!

I hope everyone has a great week!!!!

Kelly - I can really relate to your week because not only are my kids sick but I was in the hospital for tests. However, on a positive note I met my goals of actually getting on my bike...

Mon: 20 minutes biking
Tue: Rest (hospital)
Wed: 10 minutes biking
Thursday: Unplanned rest
Friday: 40 minutes biking (65%mhr)
Saturday: 30 minutes biking (Intervals)

Now if I can just lift something other than my fork this next week....

Katie

Kelly, I always count a cleaning day as a workout day and scrubbing the floor on your hands and knees! Yowza! I hope your guy is feeling better too. We've had cold and flu bugs haunting us for weeks. Katie, I hope you and your family are feeling better and Cruncholi, baby yourself through the flu and you'll be back working out in no time! And hello to Terri and Hollie and Robyn, your mission is to not get sick. I hate to but have to tell you guys we had 81 degrees yesterday. Sadly, I was inside cleaning all day but today I am going for a long run and to the zoo today!

Hi Everyone!

Hope all the sickness quickly goes away. It's never pleasant to feel under the weather!

Awhile back there was a post on Slow & Heavy. When I read it, I realized I had been neglecting an incredible tape! So, I've been including it weekly. I LOVE the results! Cathe is incredible! Just call me Laura "Lemming"! he he.

Here is the week.

Sun: Interval Max, S&H Legs & Shoulders
Mon: MIC, S&H Chest & Back
Tues: ran 3 miles
Wens: 10-10-10
Thurs: Body Max
Fri: ran 3 miles
Sat: Interval Max, S&H Legs& Shoulders

I do 10 minutes of abs per day as well. I pull out the old Jane Fonda's challenge and do the waist and abs.

See Ya!
Laura

late check-in

A little late & luckily it's not because the flu bug has found our house. Some spinning or Spinerval tapes would have been handy the last 2 weeks. Had a couple of aborted rides because of weather. Andrea - thanks for turning off the fan 'cause those Santa Ana winds that blow in from the desert are nasty.

Mon: trot 30 min; Tamilee standing stretch; Pilates mat class; PH upperbody
Tue: Cycle 49 miles w/ DH; Tamilee Beg Stretch
Wed: Spin
Thu: zip (bad eating & no workouts - what a combo)
Fri: Cycle 26 miles (hilly circuit); BodyMax upperbody; PH abs w/ planks
Sat: Trot 35 min w/ sis & hounds (actually she did walk/runs & the dogs ran relays between us while I did out & back loops to rejoin her occasionally); Tamilee floor stretch; Body Reform Abs & Back (Pilates light)
Sun: Cycle 7 miles (rain out); Cardio Kicks; Balance Ball workout

A yoga studio opened near my house & I tried one of their Pilates mat classes. Awesome! I was in need of a tune-up & this is just the ticket. Lots of flexibility work for the lower body, the upper body work really opened up my chronically tight upper back, plus the usual hard core ab & back work. The setting was more appropriate than the gym too. Always seem to have a Spinning class next door with the walls & mirrors shaking from the bass at the gym.

Have a great week everyone!
Debra

I Wish!

If I had the fan control it would rarely be windy. It was so bad here Sunday you couldn't see across the road. Lots of sand around here!

Hi - my name is Julie and I'd like to join you all in posting your workouts. I love Firm and Cathe workouts. I'm married and I have a 2 1/2 yr. old son. I used to do this with another group but that seems to have fallen apart. I like feeling 'obligated' to workout so it can be in my post. Here are my workouts from last week. I hope I'm not interfering with your group.

Monday: Rest
Tuesday: Running - 30 minutes (treadmill); 5 Day Abs
Wednesday: 1 hour upper/lower body weights at Bally (lunchbreak)
Thursday: Rest
Friday: Firm - Better Body & Buns
Saturday: Firm - Fat Blaster
Sunday: Cathe - PS 1 & 2

Have a great week everyone!
Julie
