Okay, maybe I'll get yelled at for this but....

Does anyone else think we need a separate forum just for Check-Ins? We're getting to the point where we have 8 or 9 on the front page every day and other questions get lost in between. Not that I advocate following VF's example, but they do have a separate Check-Ins forum and it frees up Open Discussion for, well, Open Discussion:)

I wonder if SNM is listening?
 
I agree. I think we are missing the questions, comments, etc and then I feel bad that people are getting lost in that shuffle. Check-ins are great but yeah there are quite a few now ;)

i agree too. i am trying to be more active on the open discussion stuff, but a lot of times i miss the open discussion because of the check-ins....they should definitely have their own section on the forum to help those who check in find their check ins more easily...
 
Yes, I agree 100%..there are just too many freaking check in's on a daily basis..your right the entire first page is just full of check in's..I mean good lord we have:

1.)Runner's check in
2.)P90X check in
3.)Cardio hater's check in, I hate cardio check in
4.)Daily check in
5.)Buff badger's check in
6.)12 week check in
7.)Moment of truth check in
8.)Hardcore fitness maniac check in
9.)Chin up check in
10.)Begginer/intermediate check in


I am sure I am missing a few... but 10 check in's..How did it come to this???

Maybe we could call this the Daily check in, on the check in's post..LOLOLOOLOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOOOL

That's really a good idea. There is an ongoing one in the Video Rotations forum that really belongs in a Check-In forum, or at least the Open Discussion until then.

As long as I get to keep posting, I don't care what forum it's in. :) But yes, really, it is a good idea. Should we send this request on to the Cathe forum?
 
That's another thing - the Ask Cathe forum is quite frequently taken over by people who think they are Cathe, or Cathe spokespeople. Even if she is frequently on to answer questions they jump in and take over, lots of times even directing people to other instructor's sites! Bugs the crap out of me!

Great thinking, Shelley. Sometimes I find myself wanting to join a check in but don't know which to choose. It would be helpful to have them all in one place.
 
i like the idea b/c it would seem more organized then filing through all the topics and missing something of interest. and like already mentioned alot of questions get lost in the mix.

Now wait just a dog gone minute. I love scanning up and down the page trying to figure out where the check in that I check in is. I'll miss all that wasted time. I, for one, think there are too many different forums and it's just too hard to check in each one for interesting items that need my expert opinion. NOT!!!! I think Shelley has much commonsense and I second (or is that 3rd, 4th, 5th?) the motion for a new "check-in" forum.
 
I checked in and found Shelley's great idea. Everyone needs to continue their supportive checkins and a separate forum would make them much easier to locate and keep tabs on.
