I decided to take a break from my love affair with S&H, and it was kind of fun just playing around with all the other workouts which I've neglected (MIS/CTX etc.)

Sunday: MIS Legs/Chest/Back/Shoulders/Abs

Monday: Cardio Kicks (Haven't done this one in a long time...forgot how much fun it is!)

Tuesday: CTX Biceps/Triceps - CTX Power Circuit Cardio - Planks

Wednesday: PS Chest/Shoulders/Back/Abs

Thursday: Took a rest day

Friday: Circuit Max

Saturday: Power Hour/Abs

Sunday: Rhythmic Step (missed my footing on one of the moves and nearly went flying across the room. I didn't realized I had screamed out loud until my dog came bounding in to check on me! LOL)

Hope everyone has a good week!

Terri

Hi everyone!

I'm going to be joining you... one of the suggestions on my "need some MOTIVATION" was that I joing a weekly check in...
So last week I have little to post :(
Yesterday I did LL... but on to the week ahead....

Just checked the UPS tracking and my tapes... S&H, Power hour, Circuit max, interval max, and body max are ALMOST here ---

My goal this week is to jump start my program... I really need it.. YUCK...

Looking forward to talking to all of you soon!

Wow, Andrea, I can't believe it's been a year, either! Happy Birthday to your little one :)

I'm doing one body part per day, trying to work each part for about 1/2 hour. Also trying to get 4 cardio sessions in per week. This week I got everything in, but not in the order I had planned. I guess it doesn't matter, but I would like to try to spread things out differently next week. Things get in the way, don't they... My cardios were a little short some days...

MONDAY: PS BBA wu and back
PH back
PH lunges
PS low back, abs and stretch

TUESDAY: Andre's Greatest Step (uh, I was dissappointed in his cuing capabilities and his form, and the way he calls "ball change" scissors. Yuck. I might just trade this one)
Tamilee floor stretch

WEDNESDAY: Stepping Zone (ahh, Christi...)
PS shoulders
PH shoulders
my own stretches

THURSDAY: HiLo Heaven wu and I only (35 minutes)

FRIDAY: unplanned rest

SATURDAY: 10-10-10- wu and step
All Step
PS and CTX triceps
MIS abs ans stretch

SUNDAY: PS CST wu and chest
PH chest
PS bis (and that's all for bis, because I'm happy with them)
Leaner Legs, including abs and stretch

That's it for me. Have the bahamas coming up Feb. 14th, so I may increase the core work a bit over the next month :)

Have a great week, everyone!
Wendy

Hello everyone. I hope your week was great. I have been sooooo busy this week but managed to get everything that I intended in.
I was fairly happy with my week but the weight work did not go as well as I had hoped. One happy note is I have lost 13 pounds since the first of the year. I have at least 14 more to go. Christmas was not good for me. I gained 5 pounds.

Andrea: Happy Birthday to your little one. It really does go by fast.

Terri: Be careful. I have done that a few times myself. I usually just run into my furniture.

Fit@home: I'm sure you had a good time walking with your kids and dog even if it didn't burn too many calories.

Robyn: Good for you for taking a step toward motivation. Welcome to our humble checkin.

Wendy: Sorry you didn't like Andre's video. I really like it. I also LOVE Stepping Zone. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!!!

Stacy: Congratulations on those 3 pounds. I know it is soooo hard. Don't get discouraged it will happen if you just stay strong.

MONDAY: Step Heaven Stage 1 and 2
Tamilee's total body stretch (standing)

TUESDAY: MIS-legs only (no weights)
9906 (step)15 minutes and Tamilee's TBS (standing)

WEDNESDAY: 9906 (Step)
TBS (standing)

THURSDAY: MIS-Chest and back (light to no weights)
TBS (floor)

FRIDAY: Club Hi/Lo and 35 minutes of 9906 (step)

SATURDAY: Tamilee's Beginner Stretch. I did have time for anything else today. Our electricity was out from 5 a.m. to 1 in the afternoon. Boo Hoo. Somebody hit a power pole.

I felt I did well with the legs on MIS. I didn't use weights but was still sore the next day. My back felt tight but didn't hurt. I was encouraged. THEN Thursday I tried upper body. Did not go well. It was uncomfortable and I didn't even use weights on the back work except for the one arm row and I think I used 5 or 10 for that. I use to use 20 and 25 pounds. Boo Hoo. ANYWAY, I was a little uncomfortable the next day so I guess I am not ready for the upper body stuff yet. My back just felt weak which I am sure it is. I think I need to find a way to strengthen my back which does not hurt my back. Any suggestions. Pilates maybe??? I am a little discouraged but will try to find something to strengthen this old back of mine.

Can't wait to read about everyone's week!!!!!

Well, it's been another week. My eating has been awful lately, but I know I will straighten up because I just entered another bodybuilding competition!! WAHOOOO!! I'm getting excited!! I don't have to start my precomping until near the end of Feb. , but I won't want to make my work harder for me, so starting tomorrow, I'm really going to start watching it!! Wish me luck please, this is a national qualifier!! Ok, enough gabbing about myself, here's my week!!

MON: yoga and bodypump

TUES:power Circuit, but put a twist on it and did intervals from IMAX instead of the weights. What fun!!

THURS: legs abs and taught my first yoga class!!

FRI: 10-10-10 shoulders, bi's and tri's

RE: Check-in week ended 1-20-02

Had a nice week of variety. I think this is my first check-in here.

Monday 1-14 Breakthru Hard Core Conditioning, and rode bike round trip to work (total- 7 or 8 miles)

Tue 1-15 PS SLA skipped some sets by the way one-legged bridges have 62 reps each side.

Wed 1-16 Cory Everson Get Hard Arms and Shoulders. First half of Crunch Ball Workout- my mom got this tape with her big ball. It's OK- first time.

Thur 1-17- rest.

Fri 1-18- inline skating 8 miles with intense speed intervals, about 5 sprints. What a skate. It's all on a flat trail that used to be a railroad track, and now it's a paved bike and skate trail.

Sat 1-19 "Rest"- designed a strength workout to some real good music CD tracks and had to do some of the exercises to gauge speed and fit, and fried myself.

Sunday 1-20 Rest, some stretch, a set or so of delt flies.

Tomorrow I plan to do something, I don't know what yet. I could use some IMax.

Eating more than I should, and not enough protein, but always thinking protein! and getting hungry often. I still want to lose some fat. Not enough veg or fruit, but more than I used to. 1 or 2 servings a day.

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to get in a few morning workouts but this week it just didn't happen. It's pretty hard to get out of bed at 5 am, especially when you don't go to bed til 11:30 ish. (I'll need to work on this some more)

Anyway here's my week:

Monday: Power Hour

Tuesday: off

Wednesday: PS Chest/Shdr/Tri, PS BBA-Abs only, PS Legs Standing

Thursday: off

Friday: :-tired unplanned day off, feeling a little under the weather

Saturday: PS Backs Bis Abs & Kirsten Kagen's Step this way. Thought I'd play catch up. Guess what? During Step this Way, I lost my attention, my legs were tired, who knows but I fell off my step and landed sitting on my butt.:-wow The good news is no damage was done - except to my pride. But then again, no one saw me. (lol) Actually I was lucky I did not sprain my ankle. I really like this tape but you need to pay attention.

Saturday: Hi low Heaven all of it (fun tape)

Well I have been trying to lose 15-20 lbs for what seems like forever. Christmas time didn't help any. :'( I've come to the conclusion if exercising isn't helping out as much as I'd like, it's really eating habits that need to improve. Since Christmas I've "given my self permission" to eat more for some reason. For the next six weeks I'll be trying to eat healthier, smaller portions and of course I'll continue to exercise. It'd be great to be down 10 lbs by March 1st. :) Sorry I got off topic of check in. I really admire those of you who have taken off weight and kept it off.

Hi Everyone! I need some serious motivation and decided to join all of you. I hope you don't mind. Been feeling very stressed out lately due to my job and its demands as well as home life and well, LIFE in general! I keep trying to forge ahead and do my workouts but feeling very BORED lately and need you ladies to help me out.

My week consisted of:

Sun: Power Hour
Mon: Powerstrike Millenium Series 1
Tues: CTX All Step + 30 min. of Pilates
Wed: MIS
Thurs: Felt crappy & very sore from MIS so rested
Fri: Yogasculpt
Sat: Too many appointments so took off

The best day I felt I had was in doing All Step and Pilates simply because it was so different from always doing my strength training and cardio. How can I make my weeks different? Tired of strength training. What do all of you suggest?

I think all of you are the best. Always read a lot of posts but don't always chime in. Thanks for everything, Kathy

Hi Kathy!

Welcome! We're all here for motivation & support so you'll fit right in.

Maybe you need a little break from weight training. Take a few weeks & do things you really enjoy. Mind-Body fitness like Pilates & yoga can help you recharge.

Debra

RE: Hi Kathy!

LAST EDITED ON Jan-25-02 AT 03:22PM (Est)[p]I agree with Debra in that you might need to take some time away from the weights. You could just work one body part a day also if doing a lot at one time wears you out. Just do what you want and enjoy that for a week or two and see how you do. No feeling guilty or bad about not doing what you think you SHOULD, just enjoy exercising. Maybe you need a week of total rest. Just some suggestions.
