FRIDAY~Practiced new routines again, MIS-whew did I ever get sore since I haven't had this tape in my rotation for awhile! :-tired

SATURDAY~Practiced routines and then, I had a burst of energy left over to do IMax! I am amazed at how much easier (well, not easy, but EASIER) the intervals have become since I have put this into my rotation on a regular basis the past couple of months.:7

SUNDAY~REST! :-jumpy We get to go baby-sit Kennedy tomorrow so the kids can go see a show. Can't wait to see that lil' punkin'. She is 8 1/2 months old already and growing like crazy!

I just finished my 2nd. week of the PS Series. I may do them for another week but I sure am missing the S&H Series! Too many tapes & soo lil' time! Have a great week everyone. I look forward to your check-in and WELCOME all you new posters. Glad to have you here!

Hi Debbie, Stacy, Andrea, and Hollie!
My big news is that I got a Step Co. step today- practically new- for
five bucks!
On the Video fitness bargain watch board was mentioned this step, SF bay area, and when I went to the link I saw that it was located 5 minutes away from my house! And I needed a step!

My DH made me a step but it was not the same. It was usable but it might have caused an injury in the future. I can still use it for inclines though!

Here's how my week went down:

Sun- cleaned kitchen floor. Lots of deep squats.

Mon- went to schoolyard monkey bars with son, did slow pull-downs (negatives of pull-ups) training to work up to a pull-up. Ran 8 laps around the basketball court. Running's new to me now.

Tue- PowerHour

Wed- Breakthru Cardio Dance

Thur- Interval Max and an evening Hiphop class (won't go again)

Fri- Rest

Sat- PowerHour, floor abduct/adductor and two-legged hamstring (bridge) section from PSLegs

Sun (tomorrow) What should I do? Cardio Kicks for the first time?

Thanks for the check-in!

Hey everyone....

Debbie - I'm going to do week 4 of S&H - i know that's the max... but I'm afraid like you I'm really gonna missit... it's wonderful how quickly you can see the results :)

My daughter and fitness partner was away this week - so it just wasnt the same!

Good week though

Sun - LL and Circuit max (I LOVE this tape) - I really like the tapes with variety
Mon - planned rest
Tue - S&H - Legs and Shoulder (love this tape)
Weds - Power circuit CTX(also great variety)
Thurs - S&H - Chest and Back
Friday - S&H Tri and Bicept
Sat - 10-10-10

I'm thinking of taking things to a new level...
Thinking of joining a gym near me (though not sure exactly how I'd incorporate it in - perhaps as weights when I'm not doing S&H) and cardio when I'm doing S&H. Though I do love body pump... as someone else said too many tapes and not enough days!!!

Also my daughter and I are trying a few weeks of clean eating to the extent of no sugar and no white flour... I've never done it.. figure I'll give it a try!

Have a great week all...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone. If you could see me through your computer you would see ONE TIRED PUPPY!!!!! My house is soooooo clean and straight but I am pooped. The party was great except my son did not want to open any of his presents. It's always wonderful when your child snubbs all his gift givers. We had to have a little "talk". Anyway....we ate, drank and was merry---Pizza, Dr. Pepper, and at least I wasn't asleep! I love for my house to be clean AND straight but it is just way too much trouble. Remind me to NEVER clean my house again!!!!! We will just live somewhere else so it will stay clean.

My week is not very impressive but I plan to start next week with a vengence.

MONDAY: Down on hands and knees scrubbing kitchen floor.

TUESDAY: See Monday.

WEDNESDAY: 2nd section of Step This Way. Love it. I was too tired to really get into it but that workout is really fun.

THURSDAY: Housework.

FRIDAY: See Thursday.

SATURDAY: PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh well, there is always next week and I will did burn a lot of calories with the housework, didn't I????????

Hi, everyone! I had a good week. The weather in Tucson is gorgeous (high 70's to low 80's) so I can't help but be in a great mood. My kids had Thursday and Friday off for Rodeo Weekend, a big deal here in the Southwest so my house is the opposite of Kelly's. Boo hoo:-( Then I had a Girl Scout Cookie thing to do Saturday. But that's what Monday's are for, right?

Sunday 10 miler

Monday CTX Kickbox SH Shoulders

Tuesday Interval Max SH Tris/Bis and Total Yoga

Wednesday MIC WarmUp/Low Impact/Step Leaner Legs

Thursday 6 Miler SH Chest PS Back

Friday 5.5 miler Speed Work

Saturday Total Yoga Pilates/Beginner Mat Work

I hope you all have a terrific week training and all that Jazz!

Ugh....This was a sad sad week for me workout-wise and this week coming up looks like it's going to be the same. This past week was because I got my period and that always seems to screw me up....and NOW I came down with a head cold so I'm going to have to rest yet AGAIN. (Can you tell I'm frustrated???)

Anyway...here goes:

Monday: Nothing

Tuesday: MIS Upper Body

Wednesday: Got my period, too tired to do anything.

Thursday: Too LAZY to do anything.

Friday: MIS Legs/Chest/Back/Shoulders/Abs

Saturday: CTX Kickbox/Planks/Abs

Sunday: Woke up with a head cold...BOO! Did Power Hour Upper Body/Abs ANYWAY!

Well, here's hoping I feel better FAST!

RE: Yay Team Canada!

LAST EDITED ON Feb-24-02 AT 09:58PM (Est)[p]Wow, gold medals for both the Canadian hockey teams. I had to make sure I got my workout in today before the game.

Here was my week:

Monday - rest

Tuesday - Cardio Kicks

Wednesday - rest

Thursday - Rhythmic Step

Friday - PS BBA

Saturday - Happy Hour without the abs

Sunday - Step this Way. Today I did the first hal of this tape on my usual 8" and the 2nd half on 6" and I found some of those power jumps alot more easily coordinated.

I am really loving this workout as I get better at it. It really is a good workout.

Have a great week all. Once again, YAHOO CANADA.

Kim

I haven't bothered to check in for a long time.....seems too boring, this stuff that I do (not that Cathe tapes are boring). I just need to post: Weeks of various Cathe tapes in different orders including PS, CTX, Cardio Kicks, Imax, Powermax, Circuit Max and Stepfit. This week I added MIC which I had to do on a 6" step, but I did it all the way through for only the second time ever. Great tape! Makes one feel Amazon-ish when one finishes it!

Got all my study materials for preparing for the AFAA Personal Trainer workshop....just got to watch for the nearest one a couple of months out.

I have to laugh at the couple at my church who are pushing their weighted shoes.....they are telling everyone they are losing weight, but then anyone who starts any kind of walking programs after years of a couch potato life style will lose weight. I want to see how long it lasts.

Ta-ta for now.

RE: Yay Team Canada!

Funny, Kim, I just tried out Step this Way today for the first time. Boy, it is going to be a while before I get that choreography down pat and there is no way I'm going to be able to do all the power jumps :-jumpy :-jumpy...I'll just have to modify. Great tape though! I do have Rhythmic Step down pretty smoothly. Love that tape too :)!

I am not going to post my week here anymore....I'm still working out....it's just that I push myself too hard when I post here and my body is telling me that I am too old for that kind of a push. There is good pain and bad pain and I was getting into the bad pain.

Anyway....I just want to say YAHOO TEAM CANADA Too! http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Usersmilies/Rafael/03/OLA.gif[/img]

Hope you are having a good day in Saskatchewan! Great day here in Southern Ontario....going to be 12 Celsius today! http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein/shine.gif

The beginning of my week started out great, but I finished with a dud. I did the S&H series all week, and did some great cardio. From Friday on, I have done nothing. I am going to cut my workout time down to an hour a day, and see if that helps. I hate an hour and a half a day. It really bogs me down. I have also decided to concentrate on healthy eating, and allow myself 3 cheat meals per week. I always feel I have to follow a certain food program, and I also bog myself down that way. I am constantly dening myself, and don't want to go to lunch or anything. I am also going to the library and see if they have that Intuitive Eating book. I used to have it, but I don't anymore. I think I need to make that my second Bible. Thanks for listening.....
Lori
P.S.- If I can folow thru until the end of March, I will get 3 new Cathe aerobic tapes, and I really want some!!!!

RE: weighted shoes

Honeybunch I saw those weighted shoes for the first time last week. I'm afraid I offended the woman who brought them to class because when she started detailing all the things they'd do for you...I laughed. I really didn't mean to hurt her feelings, but she spent $200 on them and seems to believe they'll bring her a miracle. Ironically this is a woman who lost 50+ pounds and has kept it off for a year with clean eating and a steady walking program.

My week was bad. I ate well but only exercised minimally. I didn't lose or gain weight. I see the doctor to schedule the gallbladder surgery today, so that will determine what rotation I start this next week.

Hi Lori...

Do you participate in the weekly weightloss check-in? That may help you stay on track with both eating and working out. I have found that working out too long isn't good for me either. I have too many other things to do during the day, and if I know I have an hour and a half workout ahead of me, it really wreaks havoc on my psyche!!! :( Anyway, like I said, maybe checking in with the weightloss check-in will help! :) :)

Hollie

This last week, well actually the last two weeks have been less than stellar. All I did this week was a total body workout (MIS) a cardio tape (BodyMax step and interval portions) walked one lunch hour and went on the treadmill for 20 minutes.

The funny thing is I lost some weight. I'm starting to think trying to get in 5-6 intense workouts a week may just be too much. I'm trying to re-think what I'm doing and why.

I agree with those who like Step this Way. A really good workout but don't let your mind stray while your doing this one or you just may end up sitting on your butt.

Have a good week everyone.

I'm strivN2Bfit , Paulette
