CCPP Saturday

I'm in!
Dedicated to Gin, Shelley's sister, Melissa's aunt, and Bryan.:)
I'm not sure what challenge. I'm sure it will be hills. Sprints fry my legs and I'm doing STS legs Friday so sprints are not an option:eek:

I hope to be in also!! I have the beginnings of a cold, but am fighting it off and hopefully it will be gone, gone, gone by Saturday! I love the "pick your own challenge" idea Michele! You're brillant :D Not sure which I will do yet. I will dedicate my workout to TXGin, Shelley's sister and a couple that I know going through super tough stuff in their marriage.

See ya in the workout!

Oh Bekki - I'm so sorry for your loss

Well, I haven't done a PP in a while, but I think I will this time. I'm not sure what day - I have spinning on Saturday, and I am headed up to Disney on Sunday to see DH's brother (visiting from MT) - I guess I may just do it on Sat after spin. We will see.

I am dedicating to my brother Bryan, who died last Saturday of lung cancer. He was 47 and had only been diagnosed 3 weeks ago.

I'm adding Bryan to my dedication list of our Cathe friends/family which include you my friend. Sending you {{{{Big Hugs}}}}

Bekki - I'm adding Bryan to my dedication list as well. I'm so sorry for your loss, and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Tneah - I just wanted to remind you that challenges 2 & 3 from Volume 7 are a part of the PP workout. You said you want hills -- the 1st challenge in V7 is treks, or what Sean refers to as "fast hills", which I LOVE, but I wasn't sure if that's what you had in mind ;). If you really want hills, maybe you should go with Volume 8, or CH 2 from V2, or CH 2 from V4 is really good, too. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, HTH's though. :D

Mary - I will be thinking of your friends, too. I hope they figure things out. It's so nice to see you -- I miss you terrible! ;)

I'm in for CCPP (still have yet to figure out my xtra challenge --- I know I'm looking for a short one!). I'll dedicate to all who are going thru trying times.

Michele, love your new pic!

Thanks Cynthia, I appreciate that!

I'll be adding on a hill challenge since Friday is my STS legs day as well.

Off to find the shortest hill challenge in my CC library...;)

Hey y'all - I've been so out of touch that I forgot it was CCPP weekend. I can't join in because I have to limit my elliptical work. I did some Wednesday and don't want to push it. But I'll be thinking of everyone!

Can somebody tell me who TXGin is? Like I said, I'm out of touch. Thanks!

CUZ!!!!!

I hope your feet are back to 100% SOON!!! Hey, I miss you around here, and now that our other check-in place is gone, you should come back -- K!?

I'm not totally sure who Texas Gin is, but here's the link to her Caring Bridge page. From her posts, and the things she and her DH have put up on CB, she seems like an absolutely lovely person.

And here's a link to a thread she started the other day:

Hey Cuz! :D
Thanks for the links. Stage III Ovarian??? OMG.
I might come back, depending on how things go with the job, etc. MWAH!

TXGin, my thoughts and prayers are with you. It sounds like you are doing great!!!

Okay, I think I picked a challenge... this one:

Challenge 3 - The 3rd challenge is optional in the Volume 4 workout and is designed for more advanced participants. Those who are seeking the challenge will faced with a 3:00 minute Level 3 climb to start. At the top, take a 1:00 rest and prepare for an all out Level 4 sprint for :45 seconds. After the rest, prepare for 2 minute level 3 climb followed by a 2 minute rest. The last sprint interval of the challenge is a Level 4 all out sprint for 1:00.

Apparently I've lost my mind.

I love that challenge, Shell! We did it back in September for Tanya. I was tempted to do it again myself but I think it might be too hard for me right now.

TXGin is a super-nice, wonderful lady who several of us have been lucky enough to meet at the last two Road Trips. She is such a sweetie, as you can guess from the outpouring of support, hugs, and prayers we are all sending her way.

Here's a quick picture of the lovely Gin with our equally lovely Evily, taken by me at last year's RT (Emily on the left, Gin on the right): (And let's not forget the also lovely Linda in the background!)
