All done. Gin and Shelley's sister, that one was for you. I also dedicated this Saturday to my sister, who flew with my senile, incontinent mother from Vermont to Spokane, Washington yesterday. Love you, DS!

I'm done, too. I added Challenge 1 from Vol. 6 for a total of 86 minutes. Yeah! I love it when Coach Sean calls me "Barracuda." My DH is going to do it for TxGin later (without the challenge ;)).

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone!

I'm planning to do the workout in the next hour or 2 -- I'm waiting for my DH who wants to sleep in today (my elliptical is in the bedroom).;)

Robin - ^^^5's for your workout! Did you do it on the bike? It's so FUN to see you in the CCPP thread!!! I hope your mom had a safe journey. She's there to stay, right?

Kristi - Ch 1 from V6 is quite possibly my favorite CC challenge. I think Sean is extra specially spunky in that one and it's infectious!

WTG Robin and Kristi! I am off to do the workout in a couple of minutes. (I have a kid in "time out" right now, so he needs his final talking to before I get started.) I have to admit I'm a little nervous about it, since I know my endurance is pretty poor these days. But I will do the best I can!

{{{{{Jodi}}}}} We're in the same predicament :(. Isn't it Tony Horton who says, do your best and forget the rest? Thems words to live by! ;)

I finished! Dedicated this one to TXgin and Shelley's sis. I tacked on V6C3, and the level 4 and the end just about had me visiting my breakfast again. Woosh!!! Came in at about 69 mins. I am now off for some badly needed H2O and a shower.

I would say that your worst is still way ahead of the curve compared to the majority of people, Jodi and Michele!! I like that saying "Do your best and forget the rest".

Way to go Robin and Kristi!!!

I was planning to do challenge 2 from vol. 8 but I didn't take into consideration that it has been getting quite warm here in Arizona around 10 am and I left after 9 . At the end of challenge 5 I had to drag my dog Pepper behind me. She does not like to run in the heat

We ended up doing challenge 1 from volume 1. I know, cheater :p! It still was the fastest we have done so far, clocking in at almost 7 miles. 6.95 to be exact. But boy the last sprint ..... (I changed the hill climbs to six 20 sec sprints) I thought I am going to cough up my lungs and then drop on the floor in the middle of the street .

I dedicated this workout to Gin, Becky's DH Mike, Shelley's sister Karen and everyone who has been and is going through challenging times. GO TEAM!!!!

Now I am soooo ready for a shower. Have a fantabulous day everyone!

ETA: LOL Nan, visit your breakfast??? Sounds like you had a great workout!

I have been done for a while now, but just getting on the computer.

I felt really good considering my head cold. I'm hoping the CCPP+ bike ride will kick that cold's rear :p

I ended up doing the CCPP challenge 5 (is that from Vol. 7??!?) twice! I felt so good doing it the first time (and the music was so good! "it's doin time, it's doin time!") I just did it again :D And it gave me time to think about Carola (and her signature line quote from Mr. O'Malley) :)

Have a super duper days ladies and gents!

I'm done and showered. Whew! That certainly put an exclamation point on the end of meso 1. This was for all the Catheites who are going thru tough times......I'm pulling for you all.

I increased the sprints to level 4's - it gets me every time. Geez, by the end of challenge one, I'm thinking I could call it a day and still be pretty proud of myself....but Sean will have none of that. *lol* I added my own challenge which was Ab ripper 200 and the stretch from GS legs. I certainly do feel accomplished.:)

High 5's to all of you who have completed this and also to those who will have it done by the end of the day. And I'm more than just a little jealous of those of you in warm weather.:p

Woo hoo! Got it done! I dedicated it to Gin, Shelley's sister, ivorygorgon's family, Melissa's aunt, Shirl's BIL, Robin's family, and anyone else who is facing challenges in their lives right now.

I had a false start when I realized that I wasn't wearing my wristbands! I had to dash up the stairs to get them...made for an additional warm up, I guess.

The workout went better than I expected...hopefully that means I am coming back even faster than I hoped. My knee didn't give me any trouble either. I started out with conservative settings on my bike, but after getting warmed up a bit I was able to crank it up to my usual settings. I hit a nice second wind before the last challenge. Seeing Cathe saying "Yes you can!" on my calendar helped too!

Then took a short break to set up for my SB challenge....move the bike, set up the step, and change out of my padded bike shorts and into my "real" workout pants. Legs were feeling a little shakey. When I did that first set of slam-its, I started to question the sanity of doing this as a challenge! But then I was reminded of the slam-its at last year's RT, which reminded me of Gin all over again, and I powered through it. By the end my calves were killing me (not sure why), but I had such a sense of accomplishment!!

WTG Robin, Kristi, Carola, Nan, Mary, and Angie!! And Michele and everyone else who does the workout later!

DH and I just finished. We did our usual Sat. A.M. spin class, then hopped immediately in to PP. We called the Spin class our add on. DH said at the end "we should do that every Saturday!"

I dedicated to TxGin and my dear brother Bryan.

Thank you to all of my kind hearted Catheites who dedicated to Bryan and my family. I truly feel it is a blessing and it means a tremendous amount to me. Even-though I am pretty much a lurker here, this has touched my heart and me feel closer to all of you.

I just finished. I added the 4th challenge from Press Play as my bonus. I really love hills.

I dedicated my workout to TxGin, my DH, and my dear friend Cindy who went through a horrible accident several months ago and continues to come up against setbacks in her recovery and yet, she faces them with the most amazing positive attitude! Which is why I also dedicated my workout to Carola. You have been such an inspiration to me! And as always, my workout is dedicated to Jim.

ALL of you in the check-in are such an inspiration. This is my favorite forum. The collective energy created through PP is amazing.

I think I talked two of my vidiot friends into doing PP today too, so Kristi and Angela if you're out there... how'd you do? Please join in! :)

I love Press Play Saturday!!

Becky

High fives to all the CCPPers!!

I'm Woo Hooing here because I finally got back on my treadmill and ran, albeit slowly, but no hip pain. Didn't want to push it so I left off the challenge but still feeling good:D.

I thought about Gin, Shelley's sister, and all our Cathe friends who are dealing with illness, loss and other life struggles. Hugs to all of you!!

Hi everybody!! And ^^^5's to everyone who completed the workout!!!! I ran into a little snafu when I realized that my iPod and headphones were dead , so it's a good thing I didn't have any other plans for the afternoon -- LOL!!!

I'm just coming out of a workout slump so I had to play it smart. I knew I couldn't do 6 challenges, and I really wanted to do the bonus from the V-day edition, so I replaced the 1st PP challenge with CH 3 from V5 but I put it at the end. It was AWESOME :D!!!! I LOVE that challenge and I dedicated it to all of you who did the workout for me on Valentine's Day.

My workout was also dedicated to:
- Shelley's sister, Karen
- TXGIN
- Shirl's DBIL
- Melissa's aunt
- Bekki's family and the memory of her DB Bryan
- Mary's friends
- Becky's DH, Mike, and her friend (I HOPE your friends Angela and Kristi will join us!!)
- And of course, to Sean and Jim

I finished my CCPP workout earlier today but am just now getting the opportunity to post (it's been a long day!). It is always invigorating to do the CCPP workout. For some reason, I hit a wall on the first challenge! I powered through that wall and kept going. I added CH3 from V3 - level 4 sprints. I am finding I like doing sprints. Good job to all who participated!

Hi All!

I just love CCPP days..they have so much meaning for me and I always bring my best. I added challenge 3 from volume 5. We are all in this together ;)

GREAT WORKOUT!

I had a CCPP SUNDAY. Got a terrible headache Friday and it was still with me on Saturday although not as bad but just had that hungover feeling that comes from one of those headaches. So, switched rest days and had a great workout yesterday!! I pushed myself too and my legs were on fire but I just kept thinking of those I was dedicating my workout too and that they were going through so much more than my little leg burning so I pushed even harder.

Results were as follows:

Oh, added V8CH2 - those two 8 minute treks :)

Bike: 8 miles
TM: 2 miles
SM: just over .5 miles
Arc (yeah - this one seems to work!!) - 1 mile
Cool down: short walk with DD

Calorie burn - 909 - not going to post HR b/c I had a heart thing happen where it sort of flip flops and it got to 220 so the avg and MAX HR are obviously off!!

Shana, OMG I'm exhausted just reading your post! You're one of them Hardcore Maniacs, aren't you, AREN'T YOU!!?! LOL!!!!! :p

I'm very sorry about your headache. There's just nothing worse. ;)

HI Cardio coach Friends

This weekend was not conducive to doing a long cardio, but this morning was kind of ok. I chose to do CC#8 though since I have not done it in a while.

Any way I did dedicate it to all the folks here and their families who need special prayers as well as a famliy friend of mine, Steve (A PREVIOUSLY HEALTHY 45 year old) who is recovering from a hypoxic brain insult due to a cardic arest!

Shelly - I was unaware of your DSis needing chemo (((HUGS))) she is in my prayers

TXGin you are in my prayers as well.

If you all have extra room in you heart, please pray for my friend Steve, the. He learning to walk and talk again. This guy is an avid athlete. ( and married father of 4 teens and tweens) In fact his cardiac arrest occurred right after his morning swim workout in the men's locker room. TG his buddy was there and he got immediate CPR and defibrillation. I get emotional thinking about it.

Judy, I'm so sorry about your friend, He and his family will be remembered in my thoughts and prayers, and you, too, because it's so very hard to witness the suffering of dear friends.
