Cathletes-need your DVD advice

Cathlete
I am an old fashioned Cathe girl. I love Rhythmic Step, IMAX 2 and 3, Cardio and Weights, Butts and Guts, Kick Punch Crunch, and Drill Max. I have 2 DVDs from the LIS series, and those are the most recent.

I am looking for some newer DVDs. Should I consider Xtrain or Hiit? What about High Step Circuit, Step Moves or Step Blast? I like the dancing type step choreography in step workouts.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Lisa

Step blast and all of xtrain.
Step moves is good too! It is more complex but not hard intensity wise. Step blast Is my fav and on that one it has the,wo of step, jump, and pump that step portion is fun to.. Xtrain doex not have step in it like the ones u r talking about . But she has some mode coming late summer that is step. But i do love xtrain anyway.

Hi Lisa,
I agree with everything Renee said! I am enjoying everything in the Xtrain and Low Impact Series, though there are a few I haven't gotten to yet. If you haven't tried Low Impact Challenge, I would recommend that one!

HiiT might be great for you too, since you love IMAX 2 & 3. Those 3 are super challenging for me!

I don't have High Step Circuit. Gee, I guess I haven't really narrowed it down much for you .

(Rhythmic Step is on my wish list!) :D

Step Blast is just tremendous and you will adore it. It is my desert island step workout of Cathe's. You can keep the step workouts from the 4DS series, I'm never letting Step Blast go! Fab moves, brilliantly choreographed and put together, a smart and fun workout whose music totally rocks and you get the challenge at the end (as with RS which you already have) which includes blasts (like Imax 2). Anybody who loves Imax 2, C&W step and RS, as you and I both do, will die for Step Blast. Don't wait: get it ordered now!

Lowmax also hits all the characteristics that make SB great and it will work your lower body like no other step workout ever. Boy! I sing along with this one because the music is awesome.

Do you have the CTX series? People think it is old but I have always thought, that just as Xtrain, the STS series and the LIS series are absolute gems, the CTX series represents a pinnacle of Cathe creativity. The cardio on this series is the bomb and I love putting 2 of them together for a fully loaded routine. Try All Step followed by Step & Intervals: it'll work you good!

Apart from this, I have no bad words at all to say about Xtrain: it is fresh, inspired, creative, great music, fun, and will work your body in new ways without needing a 50 pound barbell!

You have so much great stuff to look forward to! Head now to order the new 7 DVDs on pre-sale. Don't miss out.

I own High Step Circuit and it bores me to death. Just another circuit workout, same old, same old, nothing new or inspired on it and the use of the high step is gimmicky. Cathe has rarely done much with the high step, except for weighted leg work, since. Don't bother. Invest in the new series instead. And if you don't get Step Blast, you'll need your head examined!!!! (in a friendly way!)

If you like IMAX2 and IMAX3, you'll like the original IMAX, which is on the same disk as Rhythmic Step. I do not recommend Step Moves because although the choreography is complex (frustratingly so for me and some others on this forum), the cardio challenge is nowhere near as great as the IMAXes. I like Low Max and to a lesser extent, Low Impact Challenge in the Low Impact Series. I don't have the other step workouts that you mentioned. I too was a fan of traditional step workouts for many years but came to enjoy low-impact HiiT workouts (Afterburn and Cardio Supersets in the Low Impact Series) even more. So old dogs can learn new tricks.

I like cardio hits. It's older but you have 3 step routines on 1 dvd. They are longer workouts but for me, just like step blast, they are hard to beat.
