Cathlete's Gettin' to Goal Sept.27-Oct.3

Thursday

Jacque, great news about your son's ankle. It's funny, but as I was driving to Phoenix on Saturday and passing the Coolidge exit I thought about you. I was guessing you probably had to travel there for games and was thinking what a pain it must be to travel so far the weeks that your son's team has an away game. Will he still travel with the team to the game? What a long day for those kids. But then, they're kids! I've heard of South Beach, of course, but have never gotten the book. I really do think lower carb is the way for me to go. The great thing about Protein Power is they are not antic-(good)carb -- just up to the point where they start making a negative impact and that is different for each person. From what I've heard, SB also has "good" carbs in the plan.

Linda, if you're having to stop in the middle of workouts to get food, then there is definitely something wrong. Are you working out before work? If so, you may need to get something in your system before you start. If it's after work then you really do need to take a look at what/when you're eating. Good luck!

I did the CLX Burn Intervals today, per the rotation, along with Ab Burner. it's going well, I think. When I logged onto the site just now I realized that in the RT dance party picture that cycles through Linda and Lisa are standing right next to each other! What a fun coincidence. I had better get dinner going. Keep swimmin'!

I get up about 5am, eat a small bowl of oatmeal with rice milk, raisins, 1T flax oil. Also, have a shot of espresso with about 1/4 C rice milk. This is my normal breakfast lately since it has been cold. If I don't have oatmeal, I have a berry/banana/rice milk/flax oil/greens powder smoothie(about 2 measuring cups worth). These breakfasts have got me by for about 3 years. Once in awhile I have to eat in the middle of a workout(don't know why though)! I then do a bunch of stuff to get my daughter ready for school + read the internet then exercise at 5:30 or 6:00am... I always have something in my stomach otherwise I'd get more hungry! :)

Hope CLX was fun. Good to get an ab workout in when possible--I always want to do abs, but, run out of time! What pic are Lisa & I standing next to each other? Might have not been a coincidence. I think Lisa was the 2nd person I met atthe RT. She always was so friendly, and I didn't always recognize her because sometimes she had glasses on and sometimes not. I am really bad at recognizing people. I sat at 4 different tables and decided to move to her table that night because I knew already(sort of) Cathy, Kevin, Lisa, and just met Lisa's roomate Patricia, and 2 other friendly people from that table--they were a fun group! I met Rhondalyn I think the first day on the bus, then later was sitting at her table, but, then later someone sat in my chair, so I got kicked off the table. That started my journey sitting at 4 tables! I sat at your table, too, Nancy, maybe 1 or 2 times -- I was invited by somebody(forgot her name!). I think I even sat at a table with you, too,Jacque, right?? Was that Rhondalyn's table?
Did I sit at your table Lacey(were you the math teacher?)? Well, I am probably dillusional, but, I hope not!

Nancy: Looks like we were posting at the same time last night.:D It is kind of a pain traveling so far for games. I decided at the beginning of the season that I would go to all of his games no matter how far. He'll still be traveling with the team this week because they want him to film the game. I guess the injured player who usually films is currrently ineligible so he won't be going. He probably won't get home until 2 or 3 in the morning. I think the farthest we'll have to travel is to Round Valley (which is in Springerville in case you didn't know:D) I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying CLX. I really want to get the new deluxe workouts she just released. I already have the deluxe set though so I don't want to have to buy the same workouts just to get the new ones:mad: I wonder about Beachbody sometimes:rolleyes:

Linda: I don't know how you can function on 18-23 points a day. When I was following WW I had 26 points and I still felt hungry all the time. I probably wasn't eating the right foods. I hope I didn't sit in your chair at the RT:eek: I was sitting next to Rondalynn. I don't remember you at our table. Lacey and Melissa were at the same table as us.

Today's workout was Tracey Staehle's Parts Series Strictly Upper Body (wow that's a long title) and CTX All Step cardio.

Well goodnight everyone.

Hi Nancy: thx for posting the picture! That whole back row was Ball and Chain Gang, which I barged in on the last day!
Jacque: I think you didn't take my chair:), you were already there the first day, I think, and I am pretty sure I sat on one side of you and Rhondalyn on the other. Whoever that was, it is okay, because I got to mingle a little more!;) Oh, I thought Lacey was at table number 2 I sat at! Or, maybe that was Melissa. You can see how mixed up I am!
Yes 18-23 WW points is really hard, but, I did do that before, but, having lots of trouble now! I did lose the weight before, but, guess I am not so disciplined now.
I'm going to be doing 45 minutes of something(???), for a workout today in a few minutes, but, not sure what!
This week,so far I have done 2 Amy Slo Mo upper body splits, and Cathe's Step Works twice.
DH is going to help paint this weekend, so maybe I'll get the computer/workout room painted!

Gotta get moving, so, I'll post again a bit later, I think. Have a great Friday!

Where's everyone been today?

Linda: Good luck on getting your new workout room painted. Tomorrow I'm going to attempt to clean out my garage and put up some shelves. Today I took out all my summer clothes out of my closet and put my winter clothes in. I'm not sure why I did this as it is still in the 80's:confused:. I guess I'm just ready for summer to be over.:D

I wish I would of mingled more at the RT. Before I went I told myself that I'd be more outgoing and talk to more people but it didn't happen that way. I'm too much of an introvert and have a hard time just going up and talking to people. Maybe next RT I'll do better.;)

Today's workout was HIS/LIS Double Cardio premix. I love the blasts in HIS.:)

Hi Jacque:
Yeah, where is everyone! I just got the room painted, with DH's help. It's only 2:00 here(and I started late and ate lunch, too!). Tomorrow we'll take the masking papers off the ceiling and openings, and start moving stuff in and organizing. I think I am going to buy a bench, too(the one Cathe has--I think). I hope there's going to be enough room for everything. Also, I want to get mirrors -- we'll see!

At the RT I think if they didn't have you stuck at one table all the time, it would be easier to meet more people. I was probably lucky to get accidentally kicked off my table ;), so I met lots of people, but, didn't necessarily get to know a group of people real well. The one advantage of sitting at one table would be you get to know all the people at your table pretty well--but, you could also get stuck at a table of people you don't like!

Today I wanted to concentrate on painting the room, so I didn't exercise. Tomorrow, I will do a weight workout, my PT, and my Egosque exercises.
And, BTW, DH is making steady progress with the Egosque methods! It's slow, but, he is able to do stuff for longer periods now, rather than just lay on his back the whole time. When I do the exercises I feel really good, too. There is a ~6 hour seminar for only $25, so I'm going next week to see what else i can learn to improve my knee problems(and other things).

Have a nice weekend everyone.

I'm going to Peet's Coffee now to get a free latte now(it's a coupon:buy one get one free ).

Hi girls,

Just checking in to say that 4DS is complete but that's all I've done in the way of exercise this week. There's been something going on all week.

I hope I didn't sit in your chair at the RT:eek: I was sitting next to Rondalynn. I don't remember you at our table.
Linda was the official table hopper on the RT. She tried to hit as many as she could. LOL She met a lot of people that way though.:D I think it was actually Chris who sat down in her seat but I might be wrong.

I hope to check in better next week. I'm going to be busy but plan on getting a few w/os in. I can't decide what to do with my hair. I went for a trial updo and didn't like it. I've only got a week to decide.:eek::eek:

I'll be back tomorrow night. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Saturday

Jacque, I'm ready for those cooler temps, too! We did get a little rain here last night and it was nice and cool this morning. I headed to Udall Park to see my niece from St. Johns play in a soccer tournament and got to use my new sunroof! How did it go with the garage? I am so very introverted when I don't know people that's just silly sometimes. Just going on the RT was a huge leap for me and although I didn't get to meet some of the people I would have liked to, I was much more outgoing than my normal self, so it was progress. really enjoyed have lunch with Rhondalyn on RT Friday. Now, get me with people I know and you can't shut me up!

Linda, that's so exciting that your new workout room is nearly ready. It's going to be quite the great space for you to exercise in. That seminar sounds like something you just can't pass up at that price.

Rhondalyn, that's too bad about the test updo not working for you. You must be going crazy with all you have to do. Great job on getting 4DS in last week.

Today was CLX BC3 for me today since I ended up not working out yesterday. I bit the bullet and did some clothes shopping since I need winter clothes for a trip to Connecticut in November. I only wanted to get a few things right now and actually had some success -- hooray! That was a good psychological boost.

Jacque: Hope you get your garage organized! Tomorrow I hope our house will start to look less like a warehouse, when we organize and move stuff in an orderly manner into the office/workout area. Shelves! Good idea Jacque; I wonder if I can use them in my room? I’ll have to think about that one. I might put wooden pegs behind the door to hang stuff(like bands, etc). Here is the bench I’m going to buy:
http://www.bayoufitness.com/gfid225-467?zmam=2856867&zmas=1&zmac=2&zmap=GFID225

Rhondalyn: You’re right that it was Chris that took my seat at the RT!
Too bad you didn’t like your updo. Seems like that with your hair back, it would look really good on you. Maybe a French braid- type do? Good luck with that – you should post pics J. Guess you may post them on FB for us to see later? That would be nice…

Nancy: Looks like you’ve lost quite a bit of weight. That is great! Glad you had some success buying winter clothes J. Success meaning they looked pretty good on, and you actually like the clothes a lot? What will you be doing in Conneticut?
Yes, that’s a good price for the Egoscue seminar that I’m planning on going to next week. I got in for the good price(otherwise it is $200), because I took a session from the director using one out of my husband’s Therapy package. Normally if you haven’t paid for a package (his was 8 lessons for ~ $1500), then you don’t get the $25 deal. I lucked out!

Tomorrow starts another week. Good luck on your continuing goals everyone!
:D
