Cathe's October Rotation Check-In (Oct 15-21st)

Hi everyone,
I haven't checked in in a couple of days. I missed 2 days' workouts because of a cold but I'm fine now so today I'm doing PUB and some sort of cardio, I don't think I'll have time for MIC. I did PLB the night before last and my fanny is sore. I like to change up the standing work, I do squats and plie squats first, then static lunges, then leg presses (my legs are pretty shaky by then) and then deadlifts (or whatever you call them). Then I did the floorwork. I like to get the squats over and done with because I don't particularly like them. Anyways, I'm a bit discouraged because the rotation got all messed up this week, but I'm just going to do as much of it as i can until the end or until the new DVD's come, whichever is first ;-) . I'll tell you one thing though, working out regularly has made a huge difference for me in that when I do get sick, it's not nearly as bad as it could be and I always get over it pretty quickly.

Marcy, i'm sorry about your dad. I hope he has a speedy recovery. Gayle, I used to have the same problem with the 40lb. barbell. I couldn't get it over my head to get on my shoulders. I can do it now though, just not after working upper body hard. i tried that once not too long ago and I ended up yelling for my husband to help me because I couldn't get it off of my back!!! My arms were just too fried!

I did PLB this morning. This video was never one of my favourites. Not sure why I think I find the pyramid style just a little monotonous, too many leg presses in a row. It is a hard one though!

Glad you're feeling better Ashley. I am the same way as you are with the squats with leg presses I don't really like them so glad they are first I like to get them out of the way.

Marcy, how is your dad doing?

I'm so excited about the new videos shipping Monday!Being up in Canada I don't expect them till closer to Halloween so should just have time to finish this rotation. Enjoy the weekend! Kim

Ashley-I never thought of changing up the order of the Pyramids. HMMMM. Maybe I'll give that a try tomorrow!

Good Morning! It's Sunday and it's not raining here, so football will be dry but COLD!

Marcy-how is your dad doing????

PLB done for the day. Here's the good thing. I don't know what I was thinking yesterday when I said I'd be increasing to 40 to max on this one. I alreay DO 40!!! LOL. I sat up in bed, in the middle of the night last night, and realized my mistake. lol. SO.......I did 35/40/45 on all the pyramid sets this morning and feel so good about that. It was tough getting the barbell over my head for those last 2 or 3 sets, but my legs held strong!

Gotta get ready for football, then my DSs Birthday party for the family.

Have a great Sunday. The new workouts start going out tomorrow! Can't WAIT!!!!!!

Did PUB and a 30 minute run on the treadmill.

I usually do 30/35/40 on the leg presses but 35/40/45 for the squats.

Boy, Gayle your boys spend so much time at football. My son is the same with hockey.At age 9 he had two practices Sat. and two on Sunday. The season has even started yet. At least my daughtrt (age 6) has no interested in sports she takes piano and swimming lessons each are only once a week. She's a really homebody and would just stay home and play with her "babies" every day/all day if I let her. lol Kim
 
Hi ladies. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes. My dad seems to be doing okay. He definitely had a heart attack although he says he feels fine now. His doctor was away this weekend so he had to stay in the hospital. Tomorrow he gets a catheterization to see how much damage was done to his heart but he seems to be in good spirits. I'm going back to the hospital tomorrow to be with him for his tests.

Good going on the leg presses ladies. I lost a few days of the rotation but I plan to start back tomorrow with S&H.
