Just starting up a checkin for anyone doing Cathe's November Rotation. Everyone is welcome! I'm starting the rotation today. Kim
 
Hey, Kim. Thanks for starting us off. I'm really looking forward to COMPLETING this entire month's rotatin. I may need you guys as we get 2 weeks in....that's when I start losing my interest! LOL

Happy Election Day. I'll be so glad when the commercials can get back to NORMAL! :)

Today was GS Legs! YIKES! LOL Seriously LOVE that workout. I'm sporting some DOMS in my biceps and upper back, but not too bad from yesterday's workout.

I'm headed to the busstop in 3 minutes, then right off to the grocery store to stock my fridge and pantry with clean-eats.

Sorry to hit and run.......time is a'wastin'! BBL to check in with everybody again!

I do that often too Gayle, start and not finish a rotation! We will finish this rotation ! Not at work today as home with sick ds. Will have to take him to the dr's later but should have time to fit in GS BSB at some point.
 
Kim-hope DS is feeling better soon. This time of year stinks with it being COLD one day and 60s the next! Nurse him a bit....then ROCK THAT WORKOUT!

Okay, I finished GymStyle Back, Shoulders and Biceps. My one shoulder is a little tender from getting the flu shot yesterday. Going to take ds to the pediatricain this am for a chest xray as I think he has pneumonia and then to see the orthopaedic surgeon this afternoon for a followup appt about his broken leg. Kids!;);)

I must admit I'm another starter, but lack in the finishing department on a LOT of things in my life... Although so far I've been pretty consistent with workouts (except when traveling lately) for the past 3 months so look forward to my first go round with an actual rotation of any kind... I had to modify this one a good deal because I don't have enough Cathe DVD's to do it as is... but hopefully the intent will give some desired results!

I did GSBSB last night and have the GSlegs tonite!

Kim: sorry for all your DS's health issues! Hope it's just a bad cold and not pnuemonia (SP?) and wish I had DOMS from GS BSB today, but alas! must need heavier weights! UGH!

WE WILL GET THRU THIS ENTIRE ROTATION this month.....come he11 or high-water! lol

I'm strapping on my GPS and getting in a 30 minute run. Why? Because I just FEEL LIKE IT! LOL And the weather's gorgeous. And I could use a stress buster from the recent PTA stress I'm dealing with!~

Thanks for joining us Dani! Just think how great you'll feel at the end of November knowing that you completed the whole rotation! Maybe you feel the DOMS tomorrow from BBS!

Gayle You're doing a run after GSL!!! Hats off to you,girl!!!!

Back from the pediatrician, chest xray done, definitely pneumonia. Picked up the antibiotics and he had his first dose. The appt was 2 hrs as the xray people were gone for lunch so had to wait. The poor kid feels awful and I hate to drag him to another dr's appt. He's napping and we'll see what he feels like in a hour.
 
Oh, Kim. I was hoping DS' diagnosis would have been much better. But at least you can start the antibiotics ASAP. Give him a tender hug from me!

And yes....crazy to want to run the same day as GS Legs. But sometimes that later-in-the-day cardio/run actually helps with the DOMS that start setting in. And it did. And it cleared my head for a little while too. I ran 30 minutes as planned....nice and easy. Logged just over 3.2 miles. The only thing I hate about a second workout during the day is that I have to take a second shower too! LOL

Time for dinner. Kids are due back from Religion class any moment and I'm having grilled salmon, 1/2 baked potato and steamed carrots. Plus a small serving of homemade Garden Veggie Soup that I just made. YUMMO!

Have an awesome evening. I'll be watching the Biggest Loser and the election returns all at the same time. Awesome entertainment, hugh? LOL

p.s. Can I admit something? I'm avoiding taking some phone calls today and tonight. After last night's PTA meeting, there are a few folks unhappy with me right now and I'm purposely screening my calls. Thank goodness for Caller ID, hugh? lol Worth every penny right now!
 
WooHoo! GSL done!!! that's 2 days into the rotation!! choochoo! I'm on track now! :)

it was harder than I remember... I guess I gravitate more towards B&G so I haven't done GSL very much since I got it... I gotta admit that I couldn't do much of the leg work on the stability ball... so did standing wall/stability ball squats to make up for it... worked pretty well!

look forward to seeing everyone check off tomorrow as well :)

PS> I forgot to mention that I added several rounds of Firewalkers too!!! ouch!

Off to work today, hopefully ds will be OK at school, will plan to do GSL after supper. This one has such a dread factor for me. :confused:

Gayle I think there is nothing wrong with not wanting your personal time interrupted. Maybe it's good to let people cool off for a few days too. I don't think TBL was on last night, there's a 2 hr special of it next Tues that looks really good.

Dani WTG adding on extra exercises. I'm always so glad when GSL is done. It's a hard workout!!

Hey, Kim. Yes....I learned pretty quickly last night that TBL wasn't on. I watched a little of the voting returns and then hit the bed earlier than normal.

As for our posts......should we start a new one each day with the date on it so it's easier to see the new posts???

This morning's workout was Cardio Kicks....my all-time fave Cathe KB workout. LOVE it. But today.....my entire body just felt like it was filled with lead! LOL My legs were heavy...probably a combination of GS Legs yesterday morning and my run yesterday afternoon. My shoulders and arms were heavy....I took off my 1# weighted KB gloves when the intervals at the end came. Nice long stretch afterward felt great, that's for sure!

OK....today is pretty quiet. This morning before work (I start at 10am at the school) I'll be doing laundry and making hard-boiled eggs to have on hand. Then after school (I'm done by 12:45) I'll finish the laundry. Then tonight is a late basketball practice for my older son. Pretty quiet, just later than normal.

and shhhhhhhhhhhhhh...I'm considering screening my calls again today. I NEVER do that...I'd rather take care of all my calls right away and be done with it, but I'm tired of everybody's negativity. We'll see.

OK....off to do laundryMax!

HI all!

did GSL last night and feeling it today OMG!!! for some reason I am eating everything in sight today, too! I don't know what it is, but I just get the urge for something sweet and/or salty... don't think i'm PMSing or anything but maybe it is starting really early this month.

have seen some gradual results from all this exercise stuff, but the scale is barely budging. I am at least encouraged that my waist, hips and thighs are smaller than they were a month or so ago when I did the measurements! so that is good news anyway!


hmmm... I think checking in daily is fine, but maybe we can do a weekly thread and just keep adding... since I'm not sure what everyone's rest day is, maybe we can start new every monday for the week? Sometimes I can't post until later in the day and live on the West coast, so tend to be a thread killer by default :eek: so sometimes a weekly thread keeps us more in tuned with eachother... just my 2 cents :)
 
Dani-that's a very good point! I didn't think of it that way!

The DOMS in my lower half are incredible today. They're getting worse as the day moves on too! LOL Today at school/work, if I sat down for even 2 minutes (which is very rare, btw) it took me several seconds to limber back up to walk up and down the room! LOL

I'm curious....what's on your dinner menu tonight?

I'm making hamburgers with bacon for the boys and a white bean veggie burger for myself. Steamed veggies for me, corn for the boys, and mac n cheese for them.

Thank goodness I can check GSL off as done. My legs were feeling sore a little from doing LowMax on Sunday! I'm looking forward to CK tomorrow. DS managed half a day at school then came home and slept for the afternoon, definitely seems better this evening.

Gayle I bet you have DOMS today!! I have weighted gloves for kickboxing on my Christmas wish list! Supper was pretty boring tonight tortellini with a salad but warm homemade brownies for dessert. :eek: Are you still getting phone calls?

I like the new thread each Monday idea if that's ok!

Dani WTG on the inches lost! When did you start exercising?? Are you new to cathe??

Hey, I´ll join this one, although as you can see, I can´t get to this site everyday ;). so far I´ve done the rotation, subbing swimming today for Cardio kicks.

Cathe, just posted another STS clip! And I was dreading GSL today, wait till you see this workout. :confused:

Yeah! Welcome lala1! the more the merrier and the more we can stick together!

workout done! it wasn't Cardio Kick or even KPC as planned because I left the DVD at my office in my brief case (as I took that one on my trip last week and forgot they were still in my case and not in my WO room!) I did an older Firm workout and didn't really realise that it was going to work legs that hard... my legs were shaking bad towards the end and I couldn't do the last routines with side leg raises and tall box climbs... I had DOMS today from GSL yesterday, I can't wait until tomorrow... Hope I can get out of bed!

Kim: I actually started working regularly mid august seriously (again) and with the exception of 3 weeks between now and then I have managed to w/o 5 times a week... I ordered STS as my first Cathe order, and then purchased 8 or so DVD's in September and started hard core... my eating really sucks so not seeing results that I could be if I ate cleaner or even healthier... I just checked in my WW site and noticed I joined WW Online on 9/12 and have only been on there twice :eek: I started logging food again monday so hopefully that will "reveal" the better eater in me!

Good Thursday morning, ladies!!!

Raise your hand if you're as sore as I am! LOL DOMS in just about every part of my body today! My lats and shoulders are incredibly sore from Cardio Kicks yesterday. My hammies and calves are still sore from GS Legs on Tuesday. What next? :)

On the rotation today is 30 min bike ride, then GS chest & tris. I wasn't sure if I would have to break it up today, one in the AM on in the PM, but I managed to get up early enough to do it all. First I started with my stationary bike's interval program. 30 minutes, logged 7.7 miles. Then did chest & tris in full (minus the warm up). YIKES!

A bit of a busy day for me. Kids to school, cleaning a friend's house, work/school. Then just after dinner, my older DS and I are going "to work" at Crayola. They're local here, and they pay consumers as part of their product testing program. So we're testing out something new, and will be paid $40 to do it! Can't argue, right? Then Survivor tonight. YEAH!

I'm always glad when Thursday night is here. It's like the start of my weekend!

Ladies.....go kick butt! I'll check back tonight.

I'd try to raise my hand for the DOMS question today but I can't!! come to think of it, sitting, standing and generally just putting one foot in front of the other is a bit of a challenge today! GSL didn't kick in until this morning, and I didn't do KPC as planned last night because I left it at the office, but did a Firm Cardio Sculpt and forgot it was not a cardio but a sculpt! that fanny lifter certainly works!

For tonite, I will probably see if I can log some TM time in for the cardio (if I can get to it before DH!) and then since I don't have GSCT I'll have to find an UB alternative! maybe PUB or heck, make up my own chest and tricept workout circuit! (sounds good anyway)
