Cathe's November Rotation....Week 3

OK, everybody! Brand new week. Re-set your focus and your goals. What will you accomplish THIS WEEK?

Me? I'm going to accomplish CONSISTANT clean eating and this week's workouts. I WILL! I started a brand new journal this morning! I was up EARLY for GS back, shoulders, bis. LOVE IT!

My week is pretty quiet, compared to last week, so I should have more time to FOCUS on what needs to be FOCUSSED ON! I NEED to clean my house in a very bad way, so I'll add that to my to-do list of goals!

Week Three:D:D:D
Today was GS BSB. This past weekend I ran and raked! Am exhausted today and hope I can get to work tomorrow AND work out!
 
I see everyone has a good start to the week! Today was my rest day which was much needed since I spent last night at Children's Hospital with ds who had a asthma attack. :( The poor kid has been so sick all fall (broken leg, abdominal surgery, pneumonia, asthma), his little body just seems so weakend and he can't seem to get his strength back.

Tomorrow I plan to do GSL instead of GSBSB just because I have more time Tues than Wed and GSL has such a dread factor for me, I really want to get it done with.
 
Hey guys... I was lookin' for you all!

I have also committed to doing this weeks rotation! I am excited to report in that GSBSB is done!!! I think I would actually prefer to do GSL better, because I need more lower body work than I think I do upper body, but did DM and KM this weekend, plus working in the yard, so my LB was pretty ouchy already! I guess if I were doing my own rotation I would have reversed the frequency of UB and LB work, but hey... this is Cathe's rotation!

Good job everyone for hanging with this! We are making progress and we CAN do it!

'cab'....sorry to hear about DS' asthma attack! And you're right...he's been thru so much with all his recent ailments. How is he feeling today??? What sport is next for DS? And what about YOU too? How are you?

Dani-I LOL when I read another post by you, saying that you have a hard time resisting something in front of you.....and the 'fluffy' comment! I guess I could say the same thing.

I have a confession. I promised myself I wouldn't buy anything new, fitness-wise, unless absolutely needed, until STS came out. Well, I couldn't pass up a great deal on kettlebells, plus all that talk about it lately has me VERY interested! So....I broke down yesterday and bought a 10# and 15#KB from GNC.com, with FREE shipping. And I'm buying Kettlebell Goddess from the ya ya swaps for a decent price. SO.....I caved. lol But I guess it could be worse, right?

OK...today started out with GS Legs and I LOVED it! I love working LB, and this one is no exception.

Today is SUPER QUIET, and I hope it stays that way! No practice, only religion classes for the kids this afternoon just before dinner time. SO, they'll be in bed ON TIME tonight and I'll snuggle in for a good episode of the Biggest Loser.

As I posted yesterday, I was exhausted, so I did stay home today AND in bed (sometimes it's more of a mental day and I work out ;)). But I will be back at it tomorrow.

Gayle, I broke down, too, and preordered Kelly Coffey-Meyer's new kickbox workout. It got good reviews here and the video looks good!
 
Just finished GSL legs (switching it with GSBSB for tomorrow)

Thanks for the sweet words, Gayle, poor ds has had a terrible autumn(broken leg, abdominal surgery, death of a pet, pneumonia and asthma). His leg fracture was quite severe, so no sports till end of January, and he loves sports, he most likely will miss the whole hockey season which he is very upset about. :( So many of his friends are busy with sports so he's feeling pretty left out. I keep telling him that things will get better soon and he keeps asking when. :(:(

How's your ds doing with his broken hand, all recovered now??

Yeah, another one bites the dust! GSL done!!! I had a bit of trouble with the stability ball portion, so I just winged it through most of that, but I have made it this far I'm not giving up now!

sounds like everyone has had some horrible family health issues to deal with lately! I have been blessed, and most of my ailments are due to inactivity rather than over-activity :eek: oh well... i'm workin on it!

I'm SO glad we are hanging in there!!! Good job to all of us!

getting ready for something to eat... had soup and salad for lunch, so I'm a but hungry!

Up early and did GSBSB before work as have a meeting at the kids' school tonight.
Gayle, how was TBL? I was a good girl and did GSL instead of watching it, I've taped it and will watch it later. Did Vicki get her revenge?

Kim-I will not tell you how TBL turned out last night. I was on the edge of my seat the whole 2 hours! LOL As for my DS, he's completely recovered. Pretty quickly. Had the pins taken out and was on the baseball field that very same night! LOL ANd yes, your poor DS. I didn't realize HOW severe his leg injury was! WOW.......wait till January! I can only imagine how hard that is on him....my DS would be climbing the walls! :)

This morning's workout was KP&C and WOW! I have to admit that I didn't like this workout all that much when I first got it. I MUCH preferred Cardio Kicks for the cardio factor. But today, I just felt IN THE ZONE and I was drenched! By the time the abs came around, I was ready for a stretch! lol I wore my 1# weighted gloves and I'm SURE I'll feel that tomorrow!

Today's plan: clean my friend's house, work/school, the DS has basketball practice..and at least it's early from 5:30-7:05. He's been having practice from 7:30-9 and that's just SO late! THeir bed time is normally 8pm, but I don't hear EITHER Of my boys complaining! LOL

Yeah! I did KM in lieu of KPC because I just got the DVD so I was itching to do some more! I loved it... sorta took a bit to get all the combinations, and at times I looked like a dancing monkey, but felt good when it was done... Also using the foam roller to try working some of my IT band and knee issues... not sure if it is working or how long it is supposed to take but something's gotta give here or I'm gonna die!!! my knees are so tight lately and no amount of stretching has helped so far.. next step is the DR. but I don't want to get involved in something like that and then we move... so still waiting for that as well!!! My eating sucks because I'm stressing out about that, but have pretty much decided to just try to watch what I eat as best I can and hit the eating after New Years...

oh well... at least I am succeeding at the rotation! Looking forward to your checkin! ;)
 
Dani-good job with KM. Those drills slay me, hard! LOL Sorry to hear about the IT issues. And as far as food, this is a very hard time of year. Do the best you can!!!!

It's THURSDAY! That means several things for me. It means that today is the last day I work until Dec 2nd. I work PT at the school as a Monitor during the lunch hours, so half days when there is no lunch, I don't work. It also means SURVIVOR and ER tonight! My TV night. It also means Week 3 is ALMOST done!!!!!!!

This morning's workout was AWESOME! iTread 10, 30 minutes and logged over 3 miles and then GS Chest & Tris. I LOVE those pushups. I really like doing them on my knees with my hands on my bench/step that is has 3 risers under it. It allows me to really REALLY concentrate on pushing up thru the base of my hand (instead of my palm or fingers) and that gets in good right in the chest. I alternate doing it that way with doing it on the floor.

ANywho......

Today's plan: work/school; then I'm hosting a meeting at my house with the other 2 PTA Presidents from our other elementary schools at 2:45; then DS has his first scrimmage tonight. Then, of course, TV! LOL

ROCK IT LADIES! We are so close to COMPLETING this rotation (although I do know that I did waiver a bit last week, lol).

I'm off work today. Most weeks I have Fridays off but once a month I get Thursdays off as well :confused: Just to keep everything confusing, it always feels like a bonus day. Anyways, spent the morning running errands, kids are home for lunch right now but as soon as they head back, I'm doing KPC and then watch TBL. :)

Then this evening, I'll join you Gayle in watching Survivor and ER. I usually watch the Office as well! Thursday is my relaxation night! So Gayle, are the kids off school next week?? Next week is Thansgiving in the US right?

Hope your PTA meeting goes well this afternoon, I was at a daycare meeting yesterday (before/after school and holiday program), lots of "discussion" happening. We ended the year with a huge surplus which we can't keep as we're non-profit, so lots of decisions to decide what to do with the money. The discussion is still going strong by email today.:rolleyes:

Dani, LOL on the dancing monkey! It is a fun workout, isn't it! Sorry about the IT band issues, how come you don't want to check in with the doctor?

Today did GSCT but no cardio. Still pretty tired. Tomorrow I´ll swim with my iswim, and Sat plan on Boot camp. Everyone is hanging in there...WTG!

Kim-Thanksgiving is next Thursday. My kids have half days today, M,Tu and Wed of next week, then return to school the following Tuesday (Dec 2nd) which is when I go back too.

I'm really looking forward to having these days off. I've got a few small errands to run and some stuff I'd like to get done around the house so the time will be well-spent (unless I get lazy or too busy reading a good book! LOL)

OK.....It's FRIDAY!

This morning's workout is done! I did Low Max and LOVED every second of it. What a leg-burner that workout is!

Gotta get the kids ready for the bus! BBL

I did 30 minute interval run on the tm this morning, then went to the school for parent-teacher interviews. Kids are doing well except they both talk too much:rolleyes:. Going to take the kids to mini golf this afternoon and do GSCT afterwards.

Lala, I would like to hear more about the iswim. Can you describe it??

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22nd

Good morning, everybody!!!! Happy weekend!

I, for one, am in an AWESOME MOOD! I just closed out week 3 of this rotation and loving it!!! Boot Camp this morning...it was the first time I've done this one since May 2007! LOL And it wasn't anywhere NEAR as hard as I remember it being....that's good, right? HA!

We're going to be enjoying a nice steak and lobster dinner tonight. My Aunt from Boston is bringing us live lobsters, and SO is picking up steaks. Add some steamed veggies and some baked sweet potatoes and you have a YUMMY CLEAN dinner. (I don't eat my lobster with butter, so no worries there!)

OK.....I have to dry my hair and hit the grocery store for a few things.

I just finished LowMax, really enjoyed it today was just in the right mood for that workout. No DOMS from yesterday but ds is complaining his arms are sore;) He did GSCT with me. I went really heavy with the workout, so was except some DOMS.

I think we'll work on the Christmas tree this afternoon. Kim
 
yes, I'm still here... a little worse for wear as a group from work had happy hour last night after work and we had a little TOO much fun... I'm on my way to pick up my truck now if that is any indication! Needless to say I didn't get my workout in, nor was I eating anything paticularly healthy last night! oh well... will be doing Bootcamp this evening if I am feeling better... Guess I'm still in the Rotation club, right? LOL!

YEAH, to Gayle on your fabulous mood! I want some of that! my butt is dragging a little today... and you haven't done BC in over a year??? wow... I only have a small collection (and gaining) of Cathe so I have done most of them multiple times, but have to admit I have only done Premixes from BC... it scares me!!! :eek:

Kim: ok, you must also send me some of your Christmas spirit! your tree BEFORE thanksgiving??? lol! Good job on getting DS to do GSCT with you... I did that one thursday night and I was not having DOMS per se, but definately felt the muscles when I would reach or stretch!
