SUNDAY
Kim-I keep forgetting you're in Canada too! LOL My best friend's husband (they live across the street from me) is from Canada, but really, the only Canadian Holiday he celebrates is cracking open a Canadian Molsen! LOL
Well, it's Sunday and I'm really loving that today's a rest day. We were up late last night playing cards after our awesome dinner. The lobster was DELISH and so soft-shelled that we didn't even need to use the crackers to open them up. I stuck to my plan and had about 1/3 of my steak, my lobster, 1/2 of my sweet potato and some steamed califlower. It really made me feel IN CONTROL as I watched everybody else just gorge themselves. My boyfriend had a HUGE steak, HUGE potato and THEN his lobster. My friend's DH had his steak, then one of OUR HUGE steaks, a HUGE potato, his lobster and THEN a slice of EACH of the sweet potato pie and sweet potato pound cake that I made. I resisted all the desserts and again, just felt so empowered by it!
Today is quiet, sort of. I have to deliver some artwork entries from our school at 1, then we're having my Grandmom's 94th BDay celebration at 2pm. Clean eats on tap ALL DAY LONG!
As soon as I go dry my hair, I'll be in the kitchen making Chicken Soup with Rivlets. I'll share the recipe, but it's a healthy version of chicken soup with dumplings. This recipe is brand new to me, and it reminds me of a soup my Grandmom used to make, so I'm making it in honor of her BDay today!
