Cathe,,,, Your advice please....

Hi Cathe, I have been using your dvd for about 5 years now, I started after my first child. I Cant tell you enough how wonderful they are in my life. It sounds so corny but I really dont know what I would do if I did not have your exercise dvds. My husband always threatens to hide them.... Anyway my question is this: I would like to lose another 5-8 lbs. I am cardio queen usa and I really do not see much change. Well I guess I actually have 2 questions, Do you think For me I should try heavy heayy weights and lay off the cardio,,,Or am I not losing the weight because my daughter is 9 mo old.... I am 33 btw,,,, I have been hearing so much lately of going heavy and laying off the cardio. I like to run, imax etc... Thank you again for being a very important part of my daily routine!!!!

Hey Darlene:

It is true that after a certain point, cardio can't do much more for you in the fat loss stakes. Then, you need to start weight training. Just 2 total body weight lifting workouts per week, instead of 2 of your cardio sessions, will pay dividends pretty quickly. Not only will you lose fat, but since muscle tissue is denser than fat, you will drop a dress size or two, your body will be more compact.

3-4 cardio days per week are all you need. Add in 2 or 3 weight training days and you will reap the benefits in more ways than one.
