Hi Cathe,

I wanted to say I love your new workouts, keep them coming!! I did notice in the new seris how "cut" you look compared to some of you older workouts. Dont get me wrong you looked great in your older workouts too. What would you attribute that to? Is it something that just happens over time, the more you push yourself the more ripped you get? Or was it a change in your workout routine?

I would greatly appreciate your feedback..

Thanks,
Mindy

Thank you Mindy! Actually overtime muscle does mature. In my much older workouts, I didn't have the "maturation time" invested yet, but in my more recent offerings (say over the last 5 or so years), the fluctuations were many times due to the type of training/workouts I did and how clean my diet was. The only exception is in the series with Drill Max and Body Max 2 etc. In those I was just coming off of an injury, so my training was altered to accomodate my healing. In any case, I find my body responds best to heavy weights for upper body, moderate to heavy for lower body, light for core training, and an overall weekely hi-rep workout. Of course the cuts will "really" show up if the diet is clean too.

Take Care!

This is interesting because I have noticed over the last several years that my best results come from heavy upper body weight and moderate hi rep lower body weights and periodic hi rep full body weight workouts.

To look super lean, and get the results I wish I could keep year-round, my diet has to be low in carbs, high in protein and broccoli!}( Yuk.
If I lift really heavy I start to look to linebacker in my upper body. So I suppose my best results weight-wise come with moderate weights, high reps and lots of cardio. Just my 2 or 3 cents worth! It is hard to figure out even after working out for so, so long. I have noticed its even harder as I get older, but have no excuses after seeing Cathe.:)

I too was wondering this same thing. Over the years Cathe's body has definately matured. I think her two recent sets of workouts (Drillmax series and 4 Day Split)Cathe looks fabulous. I am so envious of her body, which I why I use her and have given up the gym and my workouts (even though I make my own workouts using Cathe). I know she can't reveal her dietary secrets, I sure would love to know nutrition-wise what she does to look the way she does. I am fairly tall, lean, but have solid muscle. I am like this because I eat VERY clean, and workout 6 days a week--cardio & moderate to moderately-heavy lifting. I also include one workout of lighter legs and one total upper body circuit (using either BC of HSTA---of my own creation!!)

Gotta Love Cathe...and the wonderful "torture" you can do to yourself using her premixes!!! }(
