Cathe, what would you consider kickboxing to be....

Would you classify it as cardio, strength training, circuit? I have heard it described as all three in the past.

I guess what I am asking is can I use kickboxing as my cardio workout, and use your weight training vids as my strength training, or is 3 days of kickboxing + 2 days of weights too much??

Hi Jerry! It depends on what the kickboxing workout is like. If it is keeping your heartrate in your training zone for most of the workout then it is definitely a cardio workout. If the combinations are giving you nice DOMS in certain body parts then it certainly has muscle endurance, with very limited muscle strength benefits, and depending on the layout it can be considered circuit. So, now to totally confuse you, LOL, yes it can be a combo of all three or favor one over the other, or favor two over the one :7
