Cathe Sub for Power 90

Hey all. I have Power 90, but it drives me crazy. Maybe I need to just give it another try? Anyhow, I like the concept of what it is trying to accomplish workout-wise. Alternating cardio days with full body days, six days a week with abs everyday. On the beachbody site, so many people have had wonderful success following this series. I was wondering if alternating a particular Cathe full body workout with a particular Cathe cardio (or maybe even another cardio) would give you the same type of results (of course following a good diet!)? Or is there something to the science of the Power 90 system and I should give it another shot? I was thinking if I could alternate Cathe strength with her cardio, I could do either Push/Pull or Supersets, or maybe even ME. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hi Kim,

I have Power 90 and have not gotten past day 30. It gets on my nerves. I have done slim in 6 and love that. I also see all the great results on the web ans want to have that. I have been thinking about giving Tony another try. I only want to lose about 8 more pds and add some muscle. Good luck in what you decide.

Hello, I did Power 90 a few years ago and have now graduated to Cathe & P90X. Anyway, when I did it I quickly became bored with their cardio tape and started doing Adv. Tae Bo tapes instead. I still did their Sculpt 3-4 tape the whole way through. I got awesome results.

So, to make a long answer short - I don't think there is any special science to it. I definitely think you can rotate Cathe cardio & full body workouts and get the same results or even better. However, if you are not an advanced exerciser you may want to stick w/ something more on the P90 level before advancing to Cathe. Personally I went P90, The Firm, Cathe, and now P90X (I am still subing some P90X cardio for Cathe). I'm not sure I would have been ready for Cathe level workouts right after Power 90, but everyone is different.
