Cathe, SNM PLease forgive us

Cathlete
Please forgive the crazy things that are going on here on the forums. You have been nothing but kindhearted to everyone here. But I do find the need to apologize for this craziness.I hope that today will be better than yesterday for you and SNM!!! Try not to let people get you down. You have helped my body in so many ways such as this: My husband had to work the day we needed to go to Costco to pick up dog food. I drove there dreading the fact that the bag of food weighed 52 pounds. Once i got there I looked at the bag and said I can do this, I squatted , picked up the 52 pound bag, threw it over my shoulders and into the cart. I immediately said "Thank you Cathe" without thinking. Now I don't need my husband's "muscles" anymore, I have my own, thanks to you!!!! So I want to thank you Cathe for all that you have done for me. Keep it up!!!!

Hugs to You!!:+ :+
Have a Wonderful Day:) :) :)

My husband and I are getting ready to move in November. I didn't realize how strong I am getting until we packed up our books and I was able to lift a box full of books!

becky i am in the process myself. i just moved a bunch of boxes today(books, dishes, you name it) BY MYSELF with viola. no thanks to dh's job that wouldn't let him take a full week off to help me. the lifting boxes was always good, its carrying the heavy boxes down three floors to put them in the car that has been the challenge. my glutes are sore like i was doing some PLB or something LOL.

"And do what thee wilt as long as ye harm none"

I feel the same way from a cardio standpoint.

Way back in the day, when I bought my first Cathe video "Interval Max" (does anyone even remember what videos were? does anyone even remember when "Interval Max" was a stand-alone workout and not cuddled up with two other blast-butts "Rhythmic Step" and "Maximum Intensity Cardio"?), I thought I was in shape. Then I tried to do the second interval and couldn't finish it. Couldn't finish half of them. Now I can, without recoveries and extending the intervals.

Way back in the day, when I first did "Boot Camp" I thought I was in shape. Then I did the first (jacks and a million airborne jacks), fifth (the dreaded squat-thrust climbers with of course those lovely jumps squirted in), sixth (a billion sequential power kicks) and eighth (a trillion ice breakers) cardio intervals. Couldn't finish 5, 6 or eight. Now I can.

Way back in the day, when I first did the "I-Max 3" blast-only premix I thought I was in shape. Then I did Blast #5, the dreaded multi-million plie jacks. Almost couldn't finish it, and had to pause and gasp. Now it's a standard feature (or it's evil mother Blast #9 in "I-Max 2") of every land workout I do.

I'm convinced Cathe's productions, especially the launch from video to DVD and her extremely (and I believe uniquely) gifted use of DVD technology have shaved at least 6 beats per minute from my resting heart rate. And I've become a better and stronger aqua instructor because I can put more power into my aqua routines and can even translate some of her moves to an aquatic environment with certain modifications.

As a person who comes from a family shot through with heart disease and lifestyle-induced obesity and diabetes, all I can say is:

Thanks, Cathe. I'd've waited another year. Gift or no gift.

A-Jock

Very nicely said, ladies. I am in total agreement with all of you. I hope Cathe realizes that the vast majority of us truly appreciate her efforts to bring us such awesome workouts! I hope the current mob attitude (brought on by a few posters who enjoy inciting trouble) doesn't bring anyone down.

Ditto. I would "ditto" your whole post, A-Jock, but I am not at your fitness level. Yet.

Sorry to reply on the "Ask Cathe" board....

Great thread luvmylabs!! I have too felt awful about the complaining going on. You have all done so much preparing us for these workouts. I appreciate every second you Cathe and SNM have taken to get the workouts done and to us...:)...and as for me....well since starting Cathe in 1990 or so I have completed 12 marathons, 2 50K's and countless other races. I know Cathe has helped me get strong and stay that way...:)

Wow, how inspiring it was to read about all of your life altering achievements. Way to go! Thank you kindly for the encouraging words. I know this whole ordeal has been long and frustrating. I can't blame anyone for feeling discouraged and disappointed. We are are feeling it too. We are actively looking into the "freeze" issue and will get back to everyone just as soon as we have more information. Thank you again for your patience.

Yep, me too! Tim and I are enjoying doing the GymStyles together. That is such a great series for its no-nonsense appeal, perfect for men and women. In fact, after the Cathe roadtrip, he started running, and between the strength workouts and running, he has totally changed his shape and lost 30 pounds.
You inspiring in every way, dear!

Just a little addition to the "what I can do now, thanks to Cathe...".

As an Open Heart/Trauma ICU nurse in a pretty busy hospital, I am so thankfor for Cathe on many levels!!! First and foremost, I now can run to a Code Blue and perform chest effective (yes, there is a difference!) compressions on a patient without feeling like "coding" myself!!! Also, I know have no problems getting through a 12 hr shift (well, tonight's a 13...) with energy left to actually drive home staying awake!!! Also, I can move my patients will little trouble due to the weight lifting!

I have been very frustrated with some of the posters on the forum and yes, ashamed, at the lack of understanding a maturity about the whole process.

Thanks, Cathe, for giving me strength (literally), understanding (in what my body can do), patience (to get through a killer workout) and the fortitude to keep coming back for more!!!

Please keep up the great work!!!

Now here's a thread I feel a strong need to chime in on. Cathe, I'm sorry for all your recent misfortune, and I appreciate all you do to put out a quality product and to provide quality support after the sale. Your kind of caring and commitment are rare today. I can only imagine your frustration right now and admire the way you remain poised and gracious at all times. You are a true lady and a class act.

Thank you for posting this luvmylabs...Sometimes my heart rate gets up seeing all the "bratty" behavior that comes out during these anxious waiting times! I believe that Cathe ALWAYS tries to do the best she can given the circumstances and I truly admire the gracious behavior that Cathe and her staff have for the "less than nice" customers. Its a great example for all of us!! Thanks!! :D
