Cathe...reading Framework

Hi Cathe,

I want to thank you for the link to Dr. DiNubile's book Framework. I ran to the library right away and checked it out. I'ts like he is talking directly to me since I feel like the poster child for "boomeritis". I had just recovered from a strained achilles tendon and last week I tore my supraspinatus rotator cuff muscle. I was sparring when both injuries occurred and both involved quick explosive movement. I considered myself to be in top physical form for someone age 45 but now I realize there may be underlying issues that are not always easy to detect. I obviously had weaknesses that contributed to these injuries and they were not being addressed under my fitness program.

I'll be having surgery next week to repair the tear and hoping with time and physical therapy, I'll be back to 100% or close to it. Unfortunately, I was two weeks away from my black belt exam and very disappointed. But then I think of how you have handled your injury with grace, patience and respect for your body. You are a great role model!!

Thanks again for sharing everything with us. It is helping me get through this difficult time :)

Hi JJ! I'm so glad you are enjoying the book. It is a very valuable tool for anyone of any age, and even for those who are not injured. Lots of great advice for all active people.

Good luck with your surgery!
