Cathe, question about February rotation

Cathe,

I was wondering what to substitute for running. I have no treadmill and workdays are too long for daylight and don't feel comfortable doing it at night. I noticed some are regular runs and some interval. Thanks!!!

Cathe, I wouldn't mind the answer to this question myself. Same problems where I live, except add snow....well...and...I really hate running. :D

I am obviously not Cathe, but I have the same issue in chilly Ohio and I substitute a good hi/lo workout in place of the running in the rotation. That's my fix, at least!
 
In Cathe's August rotation a lot of people said they dont like to run, so Cathe had this reply:

Hi All! It looks like many are requesting a substitute for running. If you can substitute a brisk walk mixed with light spurts of a jog, that would be great. Say walk fast for 5 minutes and bring it to a jog for 20 to 30 seconds. Then eventually try to reduce the time between the running boosts to every 3 1/2 minutes.

If however, running is truly out of the question, then substitute the same length of any higher intensity cardio (ie: 5 intervals of IMAX , 1/2 of MIC, the step portion of Body Max, etc)
