Cathe-please help me build up endurance in my legs

i used the same weights and my quads were burning!the next day i have no doms. i'm kinda worried. i was on crutches for 6 weeks,boot 2 weeks.so i thought i would lose strength in my legs,but i haven't. i can do a leg press with 5 risers,10# weight but dont feel like my legs are working. my quads and outer thighs burn if i push anything a little heavy because my feet dont move fast enough for my upper body. i walk very very slow after awhile. i cant figure out what it is i need to do to start walking normal again. its been over 4 months!

I'm very concerned for you! Before you start any exercise program IMO you should see a doctor and find out what is going on.

i had a torn tendon and can do any exercise-swimming,kb,hi/lo,and total body with no problem. i havent tried step and probly never will-maybe next year? i miss dancing alot! the bike at the gym is too hard for me,even at level zero. my ankle is still stiff from crutches.yuck! i cant wait til this is over. i was wondering if there's a certain exercise i should do to help improve my walking. pt was not very helpful. all she could suggest was strengthening my calves but its from my hip to my ankle that needs to be worked.

From what I understand if you have a torn tendon in your ankle, then that would be your Achilles tendon that was repaired. Right? If so, I found a link for rehabbing the tendon to get you on your way. Make sure though that this is OK with your doctor.
