Hi Cathe,
I know your probably very busy but I hope you can respond to this question. O.K., so I've been working out with your vids for 6 months now using ME, PUB, PLB, and a few other tapes (Jari Love). I also just got SS/PP but have only done those once. I am going to get the entire Gym style series and Muscle max (your new circuit w/o are on their way). I have been doing cardio for 50-60 min., followed by 30-35 min of weights- I split upper and lower- 4 days/wk, then 1 day of 60+ min of cardio, and 1 day of a circuit workout (e.g. Bootcamp). So, I work upper body 2x/wk (30 min) and lower 2x/wk(30 min). My goal is to loose weight (I've lost 15lbs. and have 10 more to go) and gain definition, but not bulk (lean w/ cuts).

Two questions: 1) Does this schedule sound good?

2) Once I begin the Gym style, will I see results by working each body part once a week since I've been working them twice a week? I haven't decided if I will mostly do the timesaver options on these workouts, but if I do, will I get the same intended results?

I feel like I'm doing well but there's so much info out there I'm not sure if what I'm doing is fully benefiting me. You're so knowledgeable about fitness, I would love to here an expert's advice. Thank you.

Hi KC5689! Your right, there is so much info out there and the hardest part is finding the right fit for your genetic blue print.

If the program you are currently on is working for you (ie: you are seeing impressive results, feeling energetic, eating well, sleeping well, not experiencing related aches and pains, and still enjoying it), then you can keep with it and just make subtle changes every 2 to 4 weeks. The more conditioned you become, the more frequently you can make changes. Some people even choose random workouts each time they workout (but I think this works best with seasoned exercisers who have an better idea of what their body responds to).

But the main thing is that your program is constant enough to allow you to acclimate and benefit, yet not become so predictable that you go through the motions without thought or effort.

Based on what you have written I think your body will respond perfectly to the Gym style workouts. It will be a nice change from the all upper, all lower approach (which was also fine). I don't recall what all the timesaver options are on the Gym Styles off hand but nonetheless a change at this point is a good things and you will bebefit from the change.

Remember too that if you are getting too used to the length, intensity, or type of cardio you are doing, implement some change there too.

Good Luck!
