Cathlete
Hi Cathe and all,
My 8 year old son is a bit on the heavy side - about 10-15 pounds overweight and he's very self-conscious about it. Unfortunately, his 10 year old brother is slim and wiry and very athletic, so this doesn't help his ego much that he is heavier than him.
As a family we are really focusing on diet changes - the boys are constantly reading labels for trans fats/saturated fats, etc. So, I think our diet is really getting on track (other than that evening snacking which I could stop as well )
My question is -- are there age-appropriate workout videos/dvd's for kids? Something with easy moves - calisthenics, stretching, etc. He sees me doing Cathe several times a week, and he said he'd be interested in doing some on his own.
I appreciate any and all help I can get for my little guy - he's such a super-sensitive kid and I want to help build his self-esteem.
Thanks,
Heidi
