Cathe: Lo Max suggestion!

Hi Cathe,

I'm *so* excited about LoMax as are many older fitness fanatics and people with "knee issues."

But I do have one one request: *Please* do not use "oldies," "classic rock" or "soft rock classics" on this workout! I've come to this conclusion after doing Push/Pull a few times: With really recognizable music, I get *tired of hearing it* and doing the workout very quickly.

It's like when you hear a good song on the radio but it's been played too much. Pretty soon, you change the station. I know that other people have other preferences but I still ask that you consider the fact that less recongizable music will not "age" as fast as "I Wanna Be Your Lover" or "Walking in Memphis."

Thank you.

I am hoping for the same thing. I really love the things B.K.Howe has done. I have his GFMix CD's Dance NRG 1,2,3, Tribal Experience, and Latin House. My class loves the music and you never hear it anywhere else.

I LOVE the recognizable music and classic rock and hope Cathe uses it again!!!! Hard to make everyone happy isn't it? I'll be buying either way cause I love my Cathe workouts.

I do not like the soft rock clasics too in the weight training. I loove the intensity series music as the used in ME or Bootcamp.

It really is hard to please everyone. I would ahve to vote for classic rock, kind of like the blast set or intensitites. I like to sing along when it hurts. :)

I agree with you jozybaby - the soft rock-oldies stuff really bugged me. Not the thing to get me pumped up.

Dix,

The Intensities didn't really use a lot of *soft* rock, if any. And the rock music that was included was heavily bassed re-mixes.

FWIW, the music from the Intensities is my favorite of any workout I own. Since I own 120 odd something, that's saying a lot! :)

If the music is ANYTHING like IMAX 2 or C&W, I will LOVE it. I think these two workouts are by far Cathe's best with music. But I also love that country techno from Step Jam and the really energetic techno from StepFit. I don't know what it's called. I love the music with tons of energy. I especially like the "Let It Go" song in C&W's warmup. I wish I could buy it on CD but have no idea who sings it.

This is one of those preferences where everyone is different. Personally, I like most music (even some rap if you can understand the words). I think if you are listening so much to the music maybe you can use the "music off" function that is available on some of the DVD's. :)
