Cathe - Just started your workouts and need some advice

Hi Cathe. I have very quickly become a huge fan of your workouts after seeing you on Fit TV.

I have a 7 month old baby and have been trying to get my body back in to shape and hopefully in to even better shape than it was before the pregnancy (I was in pretty good shape before I got pregnant, but not as good as I'd like to be). I just purchased your Timesaver 5-Day Rotation DVD because with a young baby and a full time job I don't have a great deal of time to work out. I have been enjoying it so far, but am worried that it is not a long enough workout to give me the results I am looking for. Is it possible to get lean and tone by only working out 40 to 50 minutes a day (and of course eating right) or do I need to add some additional weight training and cardio?

Hi, I am not Cathe but I always recommend the CTX series to new Catheites.
The workouts are longer than Timesaver. You can do a different tape every day of the week. There is varied cardio (step, kickbox, hi-lo, circuit, cardio mix etc) and strength worouts that for the most part focus on a specific body part for each day of the week. There is also core work in some of the tapes and one tape is devoted to a lower body workout. I much prefer this series to the Timesaver workout as I feel much more worked out. I use timesaver only when I am short of time and not as a stand alone rotation. I loved CTX as a stand alone rotation. I now combine CTX with all of her other workouts.
 
I have to agree with Cathy. I too am fairly new to Cathe and just got CTX. I really like it. It's pretty versatile. You can work one body part/day or more if you like. Then there's leaner legs- a workout devoted entirely to lower body which I sooooo need.

Yes I think CTX is a good option but believe me you need to have step blast and SJP in the same dvd. For weight training I love ME ,the most, but I think all the workouts of cathe are awesome. Everytime I do a cathe workout I think is the best workout I have done.
