Cathe, I've been taking you for granted

Since ordering CTX back in 2002, I've done nothing but your workouts. Recently (while patiently waiting for your new vids to be filmed) - I've "cheated on you" and ordered a few workouts by other instructors.

Before "finding" you, I had done others' videos, so upon doing CTX I could tell right away that your production was the best, barring none. But now, in comparison to other instructors' videos, I see how incredible your DVDs are; the premixes, chapters, main menu selections, etc. are so much better than the rest. And then there's your cuing. No one else cues as well as you do. The other day, for instance, I was doing Imax 3 and had so much sweat in my eyes I couldn't see. I wanted to finish the interval I was doing before grabbing a towel and mopping off - and I finished it because your cuing was so spot on I knew exactly what to do next.

Also, the background exercisers in the videos I've recently purchased just don't have the same appeal as the cast members from your workouts. Granted, people aren't robots - and I don't expect them to be - but your entire crew is top notch.

Thank you so much for making such wonderful workouts - and I'm sorry for overlooking how special you and your DVDs truly are!!

I agree, Jillybean :)! I am no longer willing to accept just any old workout after having gotten addicted to Cathe :7.

Thank you, Cathe, for being such a wonderful instructor and motivator and for producing absolute top-of-the-line workouts!

I also agree. No one is as fun or as talented, at least IMO, than Cathe. I also did only Cathe for three years and now tried some other instructors. They and their workouts just don't compare. Thanks

Hi Jillybean and gang! What a very kind thing to say. Thank you so much. I equally appreciate all of you for believing in me and hanging in there until I am ready to kick some more butt ;-)

Thanks again

The Bean says what is in The Bald One's heart. I too have "strayed off the pasture" recently, and while these Non-Cathe workouts may tide me over temporarily until Drill Max is in my sweaty little hands, still, in terms of exercise DVD production there's Cathe and then there's everyone else. (I ordered the whole taco as I always do, but Drill Max is what I'm looking forward to most.)

Hi,
I do agree with you that Cathe's workouts are really good. In fact, I have yet to find a weight training home video that kicks more butt than hers. [ Karen Voight's great weighted workout comes close ]

But there are other aerobic workouts that I also love. Mindy Mylrea's workouts are as grueling as Cathe's Imax. Gin Miller's Simply step gives as good a workout as say rhythmic step. Christy Taylor's, Marcus Irwin's, Rob Glick's and Kari Anderson's aerobic workouts are pure fun if you like choreography. Patrick Godeau, Janis Safell, Seasun Zeiger, Kelly Roberts, Donna Read are some of the other people who in my opinion have some really good workouts.
And, as Cathe does not do Yoga, I have my Yoga favourites too - Shiva Rhea, Baron Baptiste, Rodney Yee and Bryan Krest.

I do love Cathe and her DVDs dominate my collection but I would not give up the others I mentioned above either.
Am really looking forward to her forthcoming dvds. Here's to her having a FULL RECOVERY!

Oh, I wasn't commenting on the quality or content of others' workouts - I have just gotten into Mindy Mylrea (thanks to my Bees!) and really like her, but the lack of chapter points and premixes was a bit disappointing. I simply think Cathe delivers the entire package - Intense workouts with great music & marvelous cuing and instruction as well as placing these workouts in a top notch DVD set-up (mix 'n' match, chapters, premixes, bonus combos, etc.) - better than anyone else.

Before Cathe, I used Voight a lot. Recently, in a nostalgic mood, I bought Energy Sprint at Borders but hated it! I used to love it and find it challenging but the intensity just is not there. Great weighted workout was one of my firsst videos. Somehow I think it too would not live up to the divine Cathe. I had a Kari Step workout long ago but found it too complexly choreographed. I am hoping since I mastered RS that I canhandle Kari's choreography but tht remains to be seen. I think you re right about Cathe delivering so completely. I love not only her cuing but her laughter and ligh-heartedness as we are being worked out so hard. There is never not a point in her workouts where I do not find myself delighted by one of her comments. I love to watch the crew too, especially Cedie. I often find myself grinning broadly at her perpetual smile. Studies have shown tht smiling, even faking a smile releases soothing hormones just as if one is really smiling. Cedie is therauetic in her tendancy to smile all the time! I am so stoked for the new workouts, it's crazy! I recently pulled out Body Max and was struck by how chiseled Rhonda became in later series. They are all so inspirational. I am truly smitten. I am off to do Cardio Kicks....
