Cathe, is this a proper form of muscle confusion?

Cathe,

Your workouts are killer, I love them...

I really enjoy the Gym Styles series, and was wondering about something. If I were to do say, a 3 week rotation of GS, follow that up with a week of yoga to shake my routine up a tad, then went back to GS for another rotation, is this muscle confusion, or will my body respond faster to another round of GS because it hasn't been that long since I did it?? Does that make sense at all??

Thanks for such quality workouts!!

I'm most definitely not Cathe (nor an expert), but a quick search for muscle confusion leads me to think that it means just a little bit more. Like changing up the rotation as well. For example one week you may do the legs, then the chest/tricep, then the back, shoulder, biceps. The next week you might do the chest/tricep, legs, then b/s/b or even change it up further and do chest and back (like a push pull), legs, then tricep, bicep, shoulder.

You might take a look at an STS rotation to get a good example as well. I think it also involves changing up the weight and rep amounts too so if you had another DVD set (like Pyramid Upper and Lower or Slow and Heavy) you could toss that in the mix.

Again - no expert!!!
