hello Cathe .
I do'nt have any off your tapes , my faviorite tapes right now is tae bo and the firm which are good but I am looking for variation , I want to try step tapes(I have one step tape of Karen Voight ) that would be interisthing , not basic but not too compless .
I also want to try streangth training tapes of yours but from seeing clips of your tapes I understand your ab workout is harder than the firm , so what can I do to handle it ? which tape to buy ?
my goals are to loose weight and be sculpted
I'm 5'3 on 143 lbs . want to be 120 .

any recommendetion from you and tips will be great .

Hey I just noticed my question are'nt clear enough .
when I wrote I use mainly firm and tae bo I thought you will understand that they are workout with simple choreagrephy
the tape of Karen Voight rate moderate choreagrephy at collage . so what I meant to say is that I want more complex choreagraphy to keep things intersting but not in a level that will be impossible to me .

can I start with your CTX series or I be better starting with MIS , power hour and 2-3 old step tape ?
I only have 110 $ right now and I do'nt live in canada/usa
so I pay international shippment cost .
what should I buy ?
is it good to start working out one muscle group a day once a week or should I start with something else ?

Hi Shani,

Welcome to Cathe, get ready for the burn!!! LOL As you can see, I am not Cathe but thought I would jump in here & tell you that Cathe's step tapes are pretty complex. But I think if you are ready to "take the next step" you will really enjoy the work. I was insane & jumped right into step with Rhythmic Step. You can break it down into little "bites" by rewinding & trying again.

As for her weight tapes, they are "aimed" at the advanced exerciser but you can easily modify the work by lightening up your weight load. Start light & you will be surprised by how easily you progress. The ab work is harder than the Firm but you will get nice results.

If I could make a suggestion, I do think CTX is a great investment & allows you to learn some of Cathe's step choreography. You modify by not "jumping" as much. You won't need as much room to workout as some of her other tapes.

The only think I warn you about is once you start buying Cathe tapes, you may not be able to stop. LOL

Good luck in your pursuit of fitness!

I came back to add, don't forget that diet is a huge part of reaching your fitness goals. You will need to learn to eat healthy. Once you get that down, that's a huge part of the battle.

Thank you very much FITNESSGODDESS .you gave me great tips but I'm still going to think about what I'm going to buy
I'm not sure yet .
I'm hoping that Cathe will find a time to answer too .

All 50 American states use a two letter abbreviation for the postal service. Examples: CA is California, MA is Massachusetts, MS is Mississippi.

I'm not Cathe, but if you own a Dvd I would suggest the crosstraining series on DVD. You will have so many options for working out. It is a wonderful series. Especially someone new to Cathe. Please check out Cathe 's website on this series. Jen

Fist of all , thank's for everyone that answered .
second of all I do'nt have dvd player I know that Cathe's dvd have a lot more options.
I am 17+ years old , still in school so I do'nt work regurly , so it take me 3-4 months to save 200$ ( a price of dvd ) and I prefer to buy more tapes with this money . I know that if my parents decided to buy dvd in the future it will be a little annoying that I bought tapes and not dvd's ...
anyway the CTX series will still provide me good results
even if I'm using the tape rotation ( one body part each day once a week ) is'nt it ?
it's not that I have'nt pay for a step , barbell , dumbells and ankel weights but it was necessery .
do you think dvd is necessey ?

I do not think that DVD is necessary myself. I still have a VCR and purchased a combo VCR and DVD player recently. With my purchase of the intensity series, I finally understand what the DVD technology is enabling us to do with well chaptered workouts on Dvd. I have seen basic DVDs that are not any better than Video tapes (this is certainly NOT the case with the intensity series!). I would have been happy with the intensity series or CTX for that matter on video. Cathe workouts are the best on the marketplace IMO. My favorite video of hers is still Bodymax because it has step aerobics and a full body workout. I love all of the workouts and I always preorder Cathe workouts.
