Cathe, I have a couple of BOSU questions...

Hello dear Cathe :D . I hope you and your wonderful family are okay. I'm not sure if you have replied to this question before. I want to know if you have done (or maybe taught) BOSU workouts at your gym. I've been quite intrigued by the philosophy of the BOSU for awhile now, but I'm not sure if it's hype or if it is an effective piece of equipment. Also you haven't used it in your workouts so at the moment I don't own one. Do you think it is worth it to buy one or do you think it won't be the next step and that it will lose popularity in a couple of years? Thank you.

I'm not Cathe but I do own a BOSU. I have to tell you that I love it. I feel like I work harder than I do on the step without my legs taking a
pounding! Someone said that they can do one of the new Cathe tapes on the BOSU, so now I will have to buy it!

I have been doing the new beginner/intermediate tapes on the BOSU and it is terrific. What a wonderful piece of equipment.

I just wanted to say to be careful using the BOSU if you are sweating alot. If it gets wet and you don't step right on the very center, top of it, you can slip right off of it. It's happened to me and numerous other people in my Kickboxing class. I do like the BOSU but in some ways I consider it a safety hazard. I also do not see it catching on like the standard step did, at least at my health club.
Just my opinion.
Trevor :)

I just completed high step circuit on the BOSU. LOVED it!!!! It was SO much fun! Much more intense than doing it on a step. I also flipped it over with the flat side up for the plank work- again- awesome!
