Hi Cathe,

I have completed 2 rounds of P90X. I am currently in the 3rd round of P90X, and have around 5 weeks of training left.

Truth be told, I was getting kinda bored and ready for new challenges. Then I found out your STS Strength series. OMG, I was totally sold on that! I really appreciate your dedication and efforts in designing the whole STS program. I believe that STS Strength is the MOST complete weight-training program on the market. :D

After completing my current round of P90X, I plan to take perhaps a couple of weeks off prior to starting STS Strength. Will two weeks of recovery with no weights but light cardio and core workouts be sufficient prior to starting the rigorous STS Strength program?

Unfortunately, I am not keen on step cardio exercises. I have some of your kickboxing type of cardio workouts. Could you suggest some other type of cardio that will complement the STS Strength series? I love the idea of having one weekly HIIT session, one weekly intermediate-advanced cardio workout, and some light cardios for recovery weeks.

Thank you!!!!!!

Hi Ilovefitness! Thank you for your kind words as well as purchasing STS. I do believe you will be extremely happy with it.

Yes, two weeks recovery the way you mentioned below will be a perfect.

As far as cardio goes, since you already have STS, we also have the complimentary Shock Cardio Series on sale this week for 30% off. http://shop.cathe.com/category_s/83.htm This series was designed to offer a wide variety of cardio workouts to complement the STS program. I also have a three month rotation in our rotations forum that combines STS and Shock Cardio to show you which workouts to put together. Here is a link to this rotation: http://cathe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=271387

If you have any further questions after looking this over, please let me know.

Thanks, Cathe! Wondering if you could suggest more cardio options with no step.

Hi Cathe:

Thanks so much for your response. I really appreciate it!!!!

I actually borrowed and did some of the Shock Cardio workouts with my friend last year. Unfortunately, per my previous post, I am not too keen on step moves. :( I love the kickboxing, MMA workouts that come with the Shock Cardio, though. Because of that, I now own MMA Fusion, MMA Kickbox, and MMA Boxing.

With that in mind, what would you suggest the cardio programs to go with the STS strength series? I really love any cardio workouts that are athletic, simple in choreography and above all, produce a good sweat!!

I would love to have a mixture of cardio intensity from light (for recovery purpose), HIIT, and anything in between for my STS rotation. My type A personality is rearing it ugly head right now. That's why I am asking ahead of time to plan out my STS rotation. I am really excited. My hubbie is going to join me in this rotation as well.

I know you are busy. The selfish side of me is keeping my fingers crossed, hoping that you might be available to respond again to my question. :)

Thank you!!!!
