I want to say thank you all for the cares and concerns during the storm. Everytime I have something stressful going on I can come here and receive positive feedback. I love that! I think you all are an awesome bunch of women!

I, fortunately, had no damage. We were on the outskirts of the storm. So damage was minor. Around us is devastating though. Millions of people are without anything. I am going to donate old clothes we don't wear anymore. If you have any please donate them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. These people would greatly appreciate it. I know it is hard to give money. Especially since gas is about to go up again!x(

Its good to hear you are o.k. and only minor damage. You must be so relieved after seeing what could have been.

Hi Carla,

I'm so glad you and your family are okay. Thank you for the suggestion to donate to Goodwill. After all these Cathe workouts, most of us will be needing a new wardrobe soon anyway!! I made donations this morning to the Red Cross and Samaritans Purse. I cannot turn in the TV without crying. My prayers are unceasing.

Carla, I am so glad you are okay. My heart goes out to the people of New Orleans and the Gulf coast. It is a heartbreaking and desperate situation.

As far as monetary donations go any amount that a person is able to give helps. And I do mean any amount. I was involved in fundraising for cancer research and the $1 and $5 donations added up quickly. Since gaining that insight I only pass by a fundraiser without giving when I don't have any money with me. One of the things I love about this country is how people come together in times of need and get the job done!
 
thankfully you are okay. they are many setting up many different fundraisers throughout our area. one place was going to go for the goal of filling up a tractor trailer full of bottled water. most are taking anything and everything that can be used. we will be out this saturday hitting a few of the hot spots to donate and see if we can help with their drive. we don't have much to give money wise at this point but i do have my time to give and any old clothes and misc. items we don't wear.
