Cathe Forums now work with Tapatalk

Because development appears to have been stalled with our old forum software for iOS and Android, we have enabled support for the app "Tapatalk" in our forums for your mobile devices. Tapatalk is available free for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Windows 8. You can download the correct app for your platform by clicking here first.

After you install the app, you can find Cathe's Forums by searching for "cathe.com" from the Explore tab, or click this link.

Please note that you DO NOT have to sign up for a Tapatalk account to access the forums if you choose not to, but if you do sign up, your account will sync across devices and you can receive push notifications.

Downloaded the app and signed up for an account. Rec'd an email confirming my user ID for the Cathe forums, but was unable to post using the app. I signed out, cleared the cache, and signed back in, but no go. Having the ability to browse many forums at once, and without using a web browser is pretty slick. The only drawback I found with the app and the Cathe forums is the inability to "like" posts. Would you let me know if there is anything further that I need to do in order to be able to post to the forums using the app? Many thanks!

Which platform are you using? iOS, Android or Windows? I did notice that when I was setting up my account on Android that I had log back into the app, and then had to make sure that I was logged into the forums again. If you are not logged back into the Cathe Forums, that would be causing you to not be able to post. But get back to me on what kind of device you are using and we can go from there. Thanks!

I am using iOS on the iPad. I'm logged into the forums via Safari, but I may not be logged in on Safari via Tapatalk. Does that make sense? Do I need to do that? Thank you!

The only drawback I found with the app and the Cathe forums is the inability to "like" posts.

You can like someone's post in Tapatalk by clicking on their username and a pop up appears allowing you to "like", quote etc.

Tapatalk problem

Logged into the forums on Safari via Tapatalk, but still cannot post.

You don't go to safari to use Tapatalk. You have to download the TapaTalk app to your phone and then use the app. Make sure to register your app with Tapatalk and then log in to the Cathe Forums using the app. Let me know if this helps?

I understand that. When you are actually in the app, you have the option to view the forums in a browser window, but you still remain in the app. That's what I was referring to. I'll log out of the app and log back in again and see if that helps. Thanks.

ETA: I see that others are posting from their iPads just fine. I'll have to find and fix the bug on my end. Thanks again.

You can now also post images into Cathe Forums using the Tapatalk app.
