Cathe - fitting all the new w/o's in??

Hi Cathe. I've only had a chance to do KickMax, MuscleMax and CoreMax so far. I have two small boys (2yrs old and 8 months old) and I work full time. I am tired by the end of the day and the little one still doesn't sleep through the night.
Can you suggest how to fit all your new work outs in? I am back to my pre-pregnancy body but am still "flabby". I want to get back in shap but am also tired!!

Thanks!!

Charlene

Hi Charlene! Sleep is most important for you right now. It is so hard at the age the boys are now. You are always tired and feel quite run down from the 24/7 pace. When you are sleep deprived, getting sleep is a better bonus for the body than additional stress from a workout. Plus, you really don't need to put more pressure on yourself by trying to keep to a workout schedule. This is just not realistic right now because you are dealing with unpredictable day to day situations.

I suggest that you do what you can each day. When you have an opportunity in the day, pick a workout that best suits your energy level and make the effort. Don't be discouraged if you can't finish just focus on the moment and give each of those moments your all.

Things will get easier in time.

Take Care and hugs to those precious kiddies :)

Hi Charlene, obviouslly I am not cathe but I think you can try the premixes.I have to try the new premixes but for example I love the upper body premix of ME or the cardio and lower premix of BC. Hope this helps.

From a mom of young children I just wanted to say, thank you Cathe for such an honest and realistic reply. It was refreshing to hear someone of your standing in the fitness world admit that getting sleep is actually ok and sometimes even better than getting a workout in. Especially if you haven't seen your kids all day. You just gave me another reason to respect you. :) Heather

Thanks so much for the advice. I guess I was just so use to doing a rotation and sticking to it that it almost feels like I'm not doing anything by working out just here and there and not following a set routine.

I'll have to give the premixes a try. I never have and am probably missing out on a bunch of great workouts.

Thanks again!!

Charlene
