Cathe Dot Com Update

I also use Handbrake to isolate the chapters, and I use CapCut to weave together a new workout. But I could just put the individual chapters in a folder in the order I want them to play, and that would do it too. But I don't make the number of Premixes that I have on my DVDs. I only make ones I really really want.
I did this also at first, but using MS ClipChamp to create actual premixes. But found it was easier and faster to just put the clips I wanted into specific labeled folders in the order I wanted to create the "premixes" or rather 'Add-ons" in the case of LMR/LMRE. I label the clips so I know the general content and the time/length. Works well. I put the folders onto a simple flashdrive and play them through my dvd player's USB port. I can add or skip the chapters or folders as they're playing. At first I thought this would be a complex task, but it's actually quite simple. Thanks to @vivbc and @Nabbe47 for the info on Handbrake I needed to get started. :)

Handbrake is really good. Thanks for mentioning CapCut. It could be an alternative to what I am currently using.

There is a work-around. If you have a computer, Chromebook, tablet that can download the Handbrake app/software or similiar. I used Handbrake to break up the LMR & LMRE workouts to create my own premixes. I enjoy and use both series much more by having done so. It takes some time to run a workout through the app/software, but now i have the Add-ons I had asked for originally. I still like my dvds but the downloads offer great possibilities too if they are chaptered. Of course On-Demand is probably the easiest solution - I'm just saying there is a work-around if one is willing to put in the time/effort.
Just clarifying...this helpful work-around is only for making your own premixes? It is not to access Cathe's already made premixes?

The work-around is to make your own premixes if you were to purchase downloads (it'll also work on dvds if you have a dvd player with your computer/laptop - that's how i made my "add'ons" for LMR/LMRE). If you have On-Demand, you already have access through the app to the pre-made premixes. If you purchase downloads, you can use info in the Workout Manager to make a premix that exactly copies Cathe's pre-made ones, or create your own. One caveat is we don't know if the Workout Manager will still have the premix info included in any new productions, or if they'll include the chapter info in the User Guide either.

ETA: currently Professionally-produced downloads only have the full workout; no premixes. However, they do have the same chapter points as the dvds, so it's rather easy to extract the chapters you want to include in your premix. If you have a computer and connected dvd player, you could experiment with a Cathe dvd. Or if you had downloaded the LMRE Bonus downloads with the pre-orders you could experiment with those. Just be sure your originals are backed up.

Another ETA: just to clarify, Cathe Live downloads DO NOT have chapter points. They're just one big chapter so other software has to be used if you want to make premixes of a LIVE.

And I’ll add this in reference to the Workout Blender, that is included with OnDemand,,
you can quickly make your own premixes from any of Cathe’s dvd workouts & the LMR2E bonus workouts are there as well. Also, all the actual premixes are in the blender
as well, if you see “premixes “ listed with the workout/dvd, you just click on them & a
drop down menu appears with each of the premixes…you then would just choose the
premix you want, & it will automatically start playing.

I think that Blender is the icing on the cake for On-Demand, plus you get access to all of the LIVES. I'm absolutely sure I would love it! I just need/want more chaptered content than what I've already purchased on all the Cathe dvds I already own. Nudge, nudge to Cathedotcom: More chaptered content please :)
