Well, I had posted a RANT about the issues surrounding "non info on ETA" for my backorder of Rhythmic Step. But, I DID have some "positive" experiences, so in fairness, I wanted to post a RAVE.
Despite not getting an ETA on the backorder, I did have a very wonderful cust service rep (Nancy) who did stay in constant contact with me re the "backorder". I think I must have emailed her 6 times in 2 mos, at least! No, she could not give me an "eta" for the arrival of RS. But, she did offer to exchange the RS for any other vhs I wanted. I finally did take her up on that offer (I ordered CTX Upper Body Split), and I also ordered a bunch more of Cathe's workouts.
1- Nancy sent me the "exchange VHS" for the RS backorder, within ONE day of my letting her know what I wanted.
2- I ordered the following:
-Intensite Series (3 dvd)
-Body Blast (vol 2&3)
-Gym Styles (3 dvds)
-Muscle Max
I also asked them to please CANCEL the entire order IF anyone single item proved to be on "backorder" when they processed my order. She did ensure me they would honor my request.
I placed the order on Tues afternoon, and expected it to arrive Friday (2nd day delivery is VERY economical at Cathe.com, compared to other places, so I will always use this mode of shipping now with them), and I received in one day EARLY.
So, all in all, I am very pleased. And while I still think that it would be much better business practice for customer service to have some type of "eta approximation" on backordered items, I must say that I did receive very pleasant email correspondence. And when they DO have things "in stock", Cathe.com seems very efficient at getting the merchandise out (at least, in my case).
