Welcome to May! It is time to flip your Cathe calendar and post another progress report. April was a full, exciting, eventful, and stressful month for me. I persevered through it all and shed 4 pounds. I recovered from a rough March, and I am back on track and ready to press on in May. I made a commitment to post my progress every month this year even when my results could have been better, so here is my monthly update. I recorded my results on my Cathe calendar:
-4 pounds in April
-1" chest
-1" waist
-1" abdomen
-1" hips
-0" right thigh
-0" right calf
-0" right upper arm
-20 pounds in 2007
-2" chest
-6" waist
-6" abdomen
-4" hips
-1" right thigh
-½" right calf
-½" right upper arm
I am averaging 5 pounds a month, which is slower than I would like. But any progress, no matter how slow, is worth celebrating! I weigh 20 pounds less than I did on New Year’s Eve, my waist is 6" smaller, and my hips are 4" smaller. I am doing workouts I love and enjoy instead of overtraining and wearing myself out for the sake of faster results. My eating is clean most of the time with occasional treats in moderation. I am successfully avoiding extremes and mastering moderation and balance. At this rate, I am on track to be 100 pounds below my top weight by the end of this year.
My downfall this month (and last month for that matter) has been the scale. I have been backsliding in this area and weighing myself more often again. I was happier and more victorious in January when I was stepping on the scale no more than twice a month. The daily fluctuations drive me nuts! Even weighing once a week causes me to focus on the numbers too much. My game plan for May is to take a peek at my progress once in the middle of the month to confirm that my rotation is working for me and record my official weight and measurements on the first day of every month.
Does anyone else want to share this month? I would love to hear from y’all! If not, see you in June!
Blessings,
Heather B.
