actually I have 2:

1. I sprained my ankle and had to take 6 weeks off. How long does it take to get back to the amount of weight I was lifting before I took time off. I am surprised I am stronger than I thought and am back at the weight I was lifitng previously. BUT I am not as strong doing push-ups and get weak quickly and have to go to my knees. Why am I so weak with push-ups?

2. I struggle with dead lifts and my back hurts quickly ... I do follow your guidance and watch my form in the mirror. I cannot go as low as you do and keep my form, but my back gets sore. Do I need to build my back muscles up more? Maybe do a lot of Supermans?

thanks so much! BTW, I love you and think you are so awesome!

Hi and thank you Lisa!

1: I'm a little confused by your first question since it does seem you have already gotten back to your pre-injury lifting weight. So I can only assume you are asking about upper body. Do push ups three to four times a week...40 of them straight. Do as many on your toes (even if just one) and then do the rest on knees. Do this for three weeks and you should be nice and strong.

2: Only go to the knees and NO LOWER. If you can't make it to knees, only go as far as you comfortably can. Yes, Supermans are excellent lower back strengtheners. Do them 4 times per week.

Be careful :)
