Carol in Jan I read eat to live and with my faimly history of cancer ( breast) I gave up eating animal protien. Not just for that reason but this seemed like the plan for me.

I pulled up a thread on a post of your typical eating day and printed that out for reference. I have a few questions if you don't mind to help me in this journey.I have to say I feel better then ever.

?1 I was wondering do you find that doing heavy weight work you are super hungry. I did slow and heavy last week and my appetite went through the roof. Usually on a rotation like this it does but this time I thought I would eat the kitchen table if someone would have let me. I had not done this rotation since beginning Eat to Live.I actually ate a 2lb bag of carrots along with everthing eles the other night.

?2 Do you ever limit the number of fruits and vegetables you eat? Do you think there is any merit in eating too high of a fruit in the glycemic index?

?3 Do you think there is any merit in not eating fuit late at night.

Thanks for your help in my journey. I appreciate any insight you can provide in what your have experiendced so far. Karen

Hi Karen...I remember you starting ETL...:)...Lifting heavy does not really make me hungry but adding the extra running miles seems do until my body adapts. I wouldn't feel guilty at all about eating a 2 lb bag of carrots. I do not limit any kind of fruits or veggies. I even eat potatoes!!! OMG!!! So, I don't even pay attention to the glycemic index. Your body might need some more veggies. Are you eating 2 big salads daily? And adding beans to them could help with the hunger. As far as merit in not eating fruit at night...well ETL says the more good food you eat the more weight you will loose...:)...I don't do my evening smoothies as frequent in the winter as I do in the summer. But I think adding a smoothie at night for you might help also with the hunger....it did with me...HTH...:)

Thanks Carol, I always look to you for some great advice and knowledge and always get it. Beside being so helpful to me and many others I find it just wonderful how you always respond to those in need. Thanks so much. You are a Fitness Blessing. I mean that. Karaen
