Cardio & Weights?

Would Cardio & Weights be too easy for me since I've been using the FIRM? BF was too easy and I didn't like using tubing instead of dumbells.

Thanks in advance.

I switched to a great extent from doing the FIRM to doing Cathe's workouts. I really am glad I did. As far as cardio and weights goes, I love the step routine. It's fun and challenging. The weights are mostly upper body stuff, but it's a good start. As far as "easy", no. You can heavy up if you find after the first time you need a challenge. I throw in 2 exclusive weight workouts (Muscle Max, Muscle Endurance, Power Hour etc) a week, and do several days of just cardio and core. But, play around, have fun, Cathe's workouts will challenge in ways you never thought possible!
:) :)

What else do you do for cardio and weights, or has it been only The Firm up to now? The first 2 Cathe tapes I ever did were IMAX2 and Cardio & Weights, and I absolutely loved them both at the time! Now, they aren't the most challenging of Cathe's tapes for me, but that's 2 years later.

If you want a cardio and weight tape that's a little harder but not over the top hard, I would suggest Cathe's Circuit Max--it is fun, easy to follow as far as the steps go, and really effective as far as seeing results in a one hour workout. I would also suggest Cathe's BodyMax--it's real long (90 minutes), but again, easy to follow and you will get incredible results.

Good luck and have fun!!!!

IMO, C&W is harder than any of the recent Firms! Not dissing the Firm, just kind of a wimpy workout for me. I just did this one today. Haven't touched this one in about a half of year. I find the weight work pretty fatiguing in some sections which kicks up the cardio factor for me. I think it's what you make it. I use an 8" platform and add a little more intensity to the cardio. I get pretty sweaty!

I'm not familiar with FIRM workouts, but you can use two risers and raise the weigth that Cathe demonstrates in the workout. That will make it more challenging for sure. THis workout has an excellent ab routine at the end.

Thanks for the replies. :)

I was thinking C&W might be a little light on the lower body compared to the FIRM. What weight work do you all do for the lower body?

Oh My! I use every single one of Cathe's DVD's. I usually like to do one heavy and one endurance per week.
