Cardio & Weights - Abs

I did Cardio & Weights abs tonight for the first time. It was the ab segment I chose to go with my S&H Legs. I have some trouble with that one exercise where you come up on your elbow and twist down to the floor with the top arm. I'm not feeling it - is there some trick to it?

Also - what a surprise! Cedie in a half-top! I thought maybe she was either extremely shy about her body or maybe it was against her religion or something like that. She's definitely had a good enough shape for it for a while. Woo-hooo! Way to go Cedie!

I don't really "feel" that exercise much, either. I can get a little feeling by making sure my abs are tucked tight, going slow and controlled, and and really, really concentrating on the oblique that is doing the twisting; relax the arm and shoulder, so you're lowering and raising using the core/oblique, and not just rotating at the shoulder/back. However, I think the benefit of this exercise may simply be in balancing, and holding the side plank for the oblique that is on the bottom. I'm not sure. I'd love to hear what others have to say about it.

LOL! Yes, those are tricky! She goes so fast! I can do them much better if I slow them down a bit. But again, that one seems more about balance than about strength. CW abs is a great routine; one of my favourites.

I am always tilting on those walking planks! Then I start laughing because I must look like a real jerk, and Cathe is telling us to "concentrate"! LOL!
